Summoner Spells Back to Top

4.png: Best summoner spell in the game. Helps you escape ganks or initiate fights. Just solid all around.
14.png: Damage over time that reduces healing. Greatly increases your killing power in lane and counters champions with healing abilities like 8_64.png or 36_64.png. I advice ignite if you're going assassin/AD.
6.png: It's a mather of preference. It has a shorter cooldown than Flash and is better in long chases.
12.png: Increases your map pressure by alot and makes it easier to splitpush without losing teamfighting. Great for counterganking other lanes. Also let's you come back to lane early if you're getting poked down or to TP back up afther a roam with ultimate for getting the farm. I advice TP if you're going tank or AP.
3.png: Can work in certain situation against autoattack reliant champions like 24_64.png or 5_64.png, but i'd stick with building a randuins or early warden's mail.
7.png/21.png: Good at baithing dives and to survive harder lanes. If you're new to rengar against a hard lane like Darius, you can take heal or barrier to avoid getting dunked and survive laning.
10.png: If you want someone to dodge.
11.png: If you're jungling.
1.png: Outclassed by 3140_32.png in most cases.
13.png: NO!
2.png: Your ultimate is already a mini-cv, waste of a summoner.

Marks: Flat AD greatly increases your early game damage and still scales well into the late game while hybrid pen is when you want to build tanky and max W or go AP.

Seals: Flat armor to help you in early game trades against minion damage and auto attack damage/spells vs AD. You can also run flat health and rely on W resists.

Glyphs: If you need magic resistances, go MR per level since at lvl 6 it will be the same value as flat and 3 flat mr for early resist. If you don't need it, get 6 flat CDR for 5% cdr lvl 1 and 3 mr per level for little resists.
Quints: Go 2 armor/1 hp regen vs hard AD lanes (Renekton/Darius), AP if you want to go AP and AD for easier lanes.

Standard 21 9. You get more CDR to spam abilities in lane, Ad to scale the damage on your  Q and E, some lane sustain, Damage on abilities/autos and Hybrid penetration to prevent armor/mr from shutting you down.
9 defense lets you have a tanky early game with flat hp and reduced damage from auto attacks and decent scaling with the bonus armor//MR you'll get from W/items.

If you're planning on going tank, go 13/17 for extra tankiness and healing. Change to MR vs AP.

Passive: When in a bush, you can leap to nearby ennemies. Great in lane to zone or farm. It has a really short cooldown and allows you to stick on targets. Using abilties generates ferocity. At 5, you can empower 1 abilty.

Q: Auto attack reset that does bonus damage. Max it 1st for better trading and to charge up ferocity easier when going AD.  Use this to destroy turret and to trade with opponents in lane. In teamfights, use it to burst down a carry.
Empowered: Bonus damage, attack speed and AD. Use empowered Q for all ins/longer trades.

W: Aoe magic damage shout that increases your resistance of a few seconds. Max First when going tank.
Empowered: Same effect + healing.

Use this to push, sustain and poke opponents.

E: Throws a bola to slow the target and do some damage. Max it 2nd if you're going AD or Tank. If you're lookin for a lvl 2 all in, take it at lvl 2.
Empowered: Damage + Snare.

Use this to poke, farm and set up ganks.

R: Afther a short moment, turn stealth and gain bonus mouvement speed. Taking damage delays the stealth. Generates ferocity. Use this to gank,  engage or escape.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

    Agressive start
    Standard start

Core Items

    Vs AD (Tank path)
    Vs AP (tank path)
    Utility Tank
    Alternate tank build
Standard AP, can replace randuins with visage, just build 1 defensive item for laning purpose into AP.
AD path, can go cdr boots for more roams or berserkers for more dueling
    Full AD
Jungle build: get ranger's trailblazer into CDR boots then finish it into warrior then go full damage from there. If you're behind, get the Juggernaut into randuins/locket.
    Standard tank.
Bruiser: get kiddlegem/brut for cdr then go into more tanky items (randuins/mercs/visage) then finish damage.

Situational Items

    Late game replacement to mercs
With maxed W / Sunfire, applyfies your damage mid game.
When 1 teamfight decides the game
    High AD/auto comps
High HP team and want more sticking power.

Starting items:

1055_32.png2003_32.png: Greatly increases your early damage and let's you bully lanes and have strong all ins without losing sustain from lifesteal/potion. Good vs weaker early games/ad focused build.
1054_32.png2003_32.png: Make you insanely tanky early on and increases your lane sustain to deal with stronger early game champions and when you want to build tanky.

Early core items:
3067_32.png or3134_32.png: Early on, you want to build a CDR item to use your abilities more and gank more often with your ultimate. If you are doing well, brutaliser will increase your damage and ignore a little bit of armor to build into 3142_32.png or 3071_32.png. The kiddlegem is better if you are even or behind to give the CDR you need without losing survivability. It can build into 3065_32.png for insane sustain and shutdown magic damage.
1057_32.png or 1031_32.png or 1011_32.png: Depending on match up, you might want one of these. Against heavy magic damage, get a negatron to build into 3065_32.png. Against heavy physical damage, a chain vest will shut it down and can build into randuins.
If you are dealing with hybrid damage, health will be your best bet and it builds into alot of good items like 3083_32.png or 3143_32.png.

Mid game core items:

Once you have some cooldown reduction and some tankiness, build according to your needs.

If you want more tankiness, get:
3143_32.png: Shutdown auto attack reliant champions with AS slow, armor and alot of hp. The active is great in teamfight.
3083_32.png: Become a unkillable lion that regens most of the damage done to you.
3075_32.png: If the ennemie ADC is shutting you down and is fed, make him kill himself.
3065_32.png: Shutdown APs and increase the healing on W while getting alot of CDR.

If you want more damage, get:

3153_32.png: Great item all around. Sustain, damage, utility and attack speed. Great at countering high HP champions and stick on a target. Good when you are building tanky since it does alot of damage over the duration of a long fight.
3072_32.png: Alternate option to BOTRK. It is wayyy more bursty, but less dps. It is better when building alot of damage to quickly kill a  high priority target fast rather than doing high constant dps with BOTRK.

3142_32.png: Some armor pen, crit and damage. The active is like a mini ghost that gives attack speed. Great at killing squishies and turrets. Let's you stick easily on targets to pull off triple Q as well. Great for assassinating.
3035_32.png: When armor is shutting you down, get this to ignore 35% of their armor and to be able to actually do damage.
3074_32.png: Great item to splitpush with. The active is like a physical damage version of your W and adds some burst.

When you want a bit of both, get:
3022_32.png: Allows you to stick on a target or protect someone by slowing opponents while giving alot of HP and some damage.
3071_32.png: Tanky version of ghostblade but with bonus armor pen, but less damage overall.
3078_32.png: If you don't like mallet and have more money to spare, this greatly increases your burst and mobility. Also great for killing turrets.
3156_32.png3139_32.png: When magic damage is a killing you and you don't want to lose damage, get Maw. If CC is the danger, get QSS into Mercurial.

3146_32.png: I know this sounds weird, but if you plan on going tank, I think its the best offensive item you can get. The added AP let's you instaclear wave with W easier and do more damage in trades while the AD still helps your auto and q/e. It also provides good sustain and gives you a 2nd slow to stick on ennemies. On top, you Q and E resets it really fast, so it comes back up almost 2-3 times in a longer teamfight/trade.
3050_32.png: Underrated item: Gives the most CDR for a item where you utilize all the stats.Great build components, and great item all around. A bit of damage, sustain, tankiness and CDR. With that + brutaliser and cdr masteries/runes, you get 40 CDR for really cheap. Great in teamfights too.
Boots:
3047_32.png: Best boots vs high AD teams and auto attack reliant laners like jax, tryndamere and darius. Buy afther sunfire for tankiness and mobility if you're going tanky.
3158_32.png : Best boots for snowballing as you get a lot of CDR to use more ultimates to do more picks/roams. Great in lane too if you don't need the armor or CC reduction for more sustain and dueling with lower cooldowns.
3020_32.png: I prefer CDR over these, but if you're going AP or tank (Wmax + sunfire), mid game, getting some magic penetration can increase your burst and dueling.
3111_32.png: Against high CC teams like Leona, Amumu or laners with magic damage and CC like ryze or lissandra, getting those let's you not get screwed over by their CC and take some damage.
3006_32.png: Best boots for splitpushing, since it will let you take down turrets easier and duel people with ease. Good if you don't need CDR nor armor.
3117_32.png: Best boots for roaming and ganking a lot with insane mobility accross the map.

VS

Aatrox

Easy

He is weak in all ins. Stack up ferocity with Q lvl 1 and look to all in at lvl 2 with AA Q AA E AA Q  afther leaping.

VS

Akali

Medium

Level 1-5, you can easily kill her. Afther 6, she will outdamage you and have even sustain. Get some MR with 3155_32.png or/and 3065_32.png to negate her damage and get a 2043_32.png to kill her during ganks. Your snare screws her up, so make sure to use it on her in teamfights if she is a problem to your carry.

VS

Cho'Gath

Easy

Farm lane. He can't really kill you, but neither can you. Get some health and MR if he is doing too much damage. Use your ultimate to gank other lanes afther pushing the lane to win by winning other lanes.

VS

Darius

Hard

Early game, he outdamages you pretty hard. Post 6, he gains alot of killing pressure. Get a mix of armor/HP with randuins and some CDR and sustain his poke. He is really easy to gank, so using a empowered E will mess him up. Try to bait out his Q and make him push to freeze the lane near turret. If he pulls you, just E and W and walk away.

VS

Diana

Medium

She has alot of burst, mobility and DPS with passive. Get some magic resist and try to dodge her Q. Once its down, make sure to force fights, since she loses half her damage.

VS

Dr. Mundo

Medium

You win early game, but once he has some items, it becomes a pushing/sustain war. Try to force fight early, if you snowball, go AD with Hydra +Armor pen and keep shutting him down. If you don't go Visage into tank and just farm it out.

VS

Elise

Medium

Rush a 3065_32.png and out sustain her poke. Once you get tanky enough, just push her and take her turret since she can't push back that well.

VS

Fiora

Easy

3047_32.png and shout at her. Avoid long trades with her and auto to break her parry then Q. Go tank with randuins + tabi.

VS

Gangplank

Easy

Same as fiora. Be careful lvl 1-3, because his passive does alot of damage, but aftherwards, it is pretty easy

VS

Garen

Medium

Use your abilities to farm from a distance. Never throw your E on him to poke since he will Q to cleanse it and destroy you. Save it for when he charges at you with Q. Other then that, get some armor.

VS

Irelia

Hard

She relies alot on attack speed, so rushing 3082_32.png is worth while. Save your E for when she jumps on you and try to kite out her W. Once its down, her damage is pretty low. Max W and rush randuins and just focus on waveclearing and forcing them to fight in your minions.

VS

Jarvan IV

Medium

Get some armor and outsustain his poke. Avoid all ins.

VS

Jax

Hard

Same as irelia. Never fight with his ultimate on. Max out E 2nd, since he can dodge your Q.

VS

Jayce

Medium

Get some armor to negate his poke. Farm up some ferocity and jump on him. He will knock you back, but you should be able to jump again before it comes back up and win fights.

VS

Kha'Zix

Easy

Challenge him to a 1 v 1 in baron pit at lvl 16. On a serious note, pre 6, watch out for his lvl 2 all in and try to just jump away to a creep and not get isolated or just E him and walk away. Post lvl 6, make sure you keep your health high so he can't screw you over with his Q exicute. Max W and rush randuins.

VS

Lee Sin

Medium

Stand behind minions and dont get hit by his Q. He can't push you out of lane if you keep spamming W. Getting some armor/CDR will negate his damage.

VS

Malphite

Medium

He cant push that well and is mana hungry. Get 3065_32.png and outsustain his poke while forcing him to farm at turret. Take down his turret and have more map pressence than him.

VS

Nasus

Easy

He can't really pressure you early game, but you can. Prevent him from farming Q and punish him for everytime he goes for a CS. In teamfights, he is easy to kite, so snaring him will let your carry melt him.

VS

Nidalee

Medium

Poke lane/sustain lane. If she is ad, getting randuins/tabi will negate her damage. It will be a poke/sustain/pushing war. If she is ap, push her to turret and take it down slowly with minion damage and get a visage. Stay behind minions and dodge her spears.

VS

Pantheon

Medium

Farm with your abiliities and avoid fighting before you get some armor. Try to sustain off his Q spam. His passive can block your Q, so do a normal auto attack before doing it.

VS

Renekton

Medium

Same as pantheon, but a little more easy. Lvl 1-5 he can kill you, but once you get some armor, you should be about to come out even in trades and even outsustain him. Will mostly be a pushing war.

VS

Riven

Hard

Early game, she will beat you in all-ins. Slow her down when she charges and farm up. Once you have a randuins, you can start trading and using your sustain.

VS

Rumble

Medium

His shield negates most of your poke. Out sustain his damage and outpush him. His early game is kinda weak, so if you can lvl 2 cheese him with Q + empowered Q, you can definitly bully him out.

VS

Ryze

Medium

Heavy snowball lane. If you get behind, there is no coming back and the other way around. Start Blade and look to get 4 ferocity using Q to farm. Once you hit lvl 2, go into the bush and jump on him  to  force an all in with Q and empowered E/ another E to stick on him.  Get 3x dblades and then go for tiamat then LW/ghostblade. Once you're level 6, you can kill him easily with ulti if you're even or ahead. If you're behind, there's no comming back, so your best bet is going tank.

VS

Shen

Easy

Farm lane. Nobody can kill eatch other, but you outpush him hard. Force him to sit at turret and regret ulting.

VS

Shyvana

Medium

Go Visage into randuins. Poke her with E and W when she cses and out sustain her. (tank)

Ad: Go 2x blades into tiamat + kiddlegem for a future visage and some CDR. Max your Q and AA + Q her, then W and E her as she tries to trade back then kite out her W. Once it's down, repeat.

VS

Singed

Easy

Poke him non stop and outsustain him until he runs out of mana. Never chase him. Once he's low, finish him off.

VS

Teemo

Medium

Out sustain his poke and force fights if his blind is on cooldown.

VS

Trundle

Easy

Farm lane. Use ulti to win other lanes. If he tries to fight and turns on W or/and R, just E him and kite it out then go back in when it's down.

VS

Tryndamere

Easy

Get 4 ferocity early and force a fight lvl 2 using bushes. Kite out his ulti with E.

VS

Udyr

Medium

Avoid all-ins early. He is easy to kite, but hard to poke down. Outpush him and make plays with ultimate. If he is phoenix udyr, farm it out.

VS

Vladimir

Medium

Force all ins lvl 1-5 and try to snowball a lead. If it works, just go for some damage and keep killing him/ roam when he's dead. If it doesn't, get a visage and play the pushing war.

VS

Warwick

Easy

Farm lane. He can't push, so make plays with your ulti.

VS

Wukong

Medium

Get some armor and avoid all-ins. He has no sustain.

VS

Xin Zhao

Hard

His early game damage is rediculous. Get some armor and avoid getting knocked up. Once his Q his down, he loses most of his damage.  If he charges E him and run away. Once it's down jump and use Q to trade back. Rush randuins.

VS

Yorick

Medium

Get some CDR and outsustain his poke. Wait till he is out of mana and then take his turret. Farm ferocity on his ghouls. Avoid fighting him and focus on pushing.

VS

Zed

Medium

Get some armor. If he uses his shadow to farm or poke, try to force a fight. You have sustain and he doesnt. Lvl 1-5 you can really mess him up if he wastes his shadow while post 6 he can turn it around if you don't have armor.

New triple Q explained Back to Top

With the rework, the triple Q is a lot easier to pull off, but is different then before. In this section, I will explain step by step how to do it.

  • First off, you need to have 3+ stacks and all your cooldowns up.
  • Use your ultimate and approach your pray.
  • Jump and use standard Q and empowered Q, as afther you jump you will generate 1 stack of ferocity from your ultimate.
  • Use all your remainning cooldowns on the target and use a 2nd empowered Q.
I find this combo really easy to pull off once you have a ghostblade or trinity force completed, because it will be really hard to kite you , you will have a lot of attack speed and it let's you stick for the duration it takes to generate the 2 extra stacks from ultimate.

It is easier to simply start at 5 stacks, Q before you jump, smash QWE and tiamat/ghostblade and then get a 3rd Q off if they are still alive most of time.
