4.png Flash is just way too strong to pass up right now. Added with the Rappel utility Elise becomes a utility beast. Gg.

11.pngAlways take Smite. Boop. Not only helps with clear time but helps secure and steal buffs and objectives. Also paired with spell vamp gives quite a decent heal (around 150) which can save your life in sticky situations.

I have never gotten a different set of summoners in a ranked game but you could consider 3.png for the added gank potential, 14.png if your laners didn't have it already, or 6.png if you were scared you were going to get kited and were building quite tanky.

6 x attack speed reds for clear and red buff application
3 x hybrid pen reds for extra damage, alot of her damage comes from auto attacks so physical pen is good

9 X Armor because who are we kidding, every jungler except maybe fiddlesticks should get Armor yellows.

6 X Mr/lvl 3 X Flat MR because then you wont be too squishy early and get insta gibbed when you gank a magic damage lane, but ensures you can still scale into late with some extra magic resist.

3 x Hyprid Pen Quintessence, extra damage, scales extremely well on Elise

Level q first because new jungle is all about killing the big creep. More damage at lvl 1 means less time getting leashed, more times for your laners to get to lane and less time youre taking damage

After that, max Q just because is damage (particularly against champions) is just too insane to pass up. Q paired with magic penetration makes for some crazy damage.

Get E at level 3 if you see a gank oppurtunity, if not just max Q and get it at 4. Pretty generic skill leveling for jungle. Level ult when you can because the extra spiderling is OP.

Not much to say here.

Q: Basic Damage nuke in both forms, try to cast Human form when the target has as much health as possible and spider form is the opposite. For example for most damage you want to human form Q a blue buff then smite it then spider form Q for most damage.

W: In human form this is a basic aoe nuke, it will go to the cursor and then target the nearest enemy.
     In spider form it just increases you and your spiders attack speed and heals you for each time you and your spiders  attack

E: In human form this is a skillshot stun and it only hits one target. Very effective for initiation if you can hit it. Try to always initiate with this spell if you can as you want to spend your majority of a fight in spider form
    In spider form this is your main utility spell. You can dodge Fizz ulties, you can dodge vlad ulties. This can be used to initiate but i almost NEVER use this to initiate because this is your escape and aggro reset spell. When you first press E you will go up in the air and then if you cast it again on an enemy or monster you will come down on them. This applies to any unit that is not an ally including enemy wards.

R: Change between spider and human. You want to spend most of your time in fights in spider form because your spiderlings do an insane amount of unnoticed damage. You gain extra defensive stats while in this form so if you are karthus ultid or have a dot on you and you think you might die then switch to spider.

The perfect combo on an enemy champion is to start in Human form, Q them, W them, Stun them with e, then change to spider and Q and activate W and proceed to auto attack them and Q whenever it's off cooldown. If an enemy flashes away on low healht you can cast e on them and you will get taken to them. You are very hard to escape due to this, but just be careful you don't get yourself into something you can't handle because once you use E to chase you have no escape left.

Situational

Items are where Elise really starts to shine.

Start with hunters machete 5 pots because you're jungle and that's what junglers do. It provides insane clear time and sustain advantages and there's not many alternatives. You could start machete + 2 pots + ward if you think you are going to get invaded/want to invade and ward their red or blue but that's not really my play style. Up to you though.


When I get back I generally look for boots + spirit stone but If I get back with >1100 I generally get sorc boots because of the insane boost of damage and the added movement speed.

Basically you want to rush the Haunting Guise + Sorc boot mpen item pair as early as possible because of the insane damage spike it gives you. If you are really getting boned you can swap your sorcs out for a ninja tabi or merc treads but seeing as how those are the only 2 true mpen items in the game they are hard to pass up.

My general build against a mixed damage team

Machete > Spirit stone + Boots > Sorcerers shoes + Guise > Spectral wraith if i'm not too squishy > Rylais > Frozen Heart > Abyssal > Liandrys > sell spectral wraith > Randuins/Warmogs

End build : Sorcerers shoes, Liandrys, Rylais, Frozen Heart, Abyssal, Randuins/Warmogs

the guide is a little iffy but a tip i can give you right now is that when you are jungling have teleport with you also so when the enemy team sees u in an another lane (example: You are top goes into brush and teleports bot or mid... preferred bot because of wards) and wont expect you coming from top so fast.

While i do agree teleport is good on certain jungles (namely Rammus, Yi, and sometimes Shac) i disagree completely with running teleport on Elise. She is too squishy early and does not need a teleport to get in because she can initiate with her Rappel. Thanks for the feedback though :)

I have to say I enjoyed this guide to the fullest, mostly because you take the time to explain and reason a bit more indepth than most behind your runes, masteries and items. That is key to me, as it helps me learn and think for myself when I can see the logic behind the reasoning and helps me evolve my Gold III thinking. Thumbs up really!

Great guide, love the details to the ganks. I have been using XJ9's guide and the only real difference I see between yours and his is the masteries. I'm trying to wrap my head around which is better. Voyboy and DJ Lambo run the 9-21-0. Lambo seems to main Elise much more than XJ. Really wonder what makes more sense on her. Also, what about the Marks of Hybrid Penetration? Again, a lot of the pros seem to run them on her. Idk, lol, I'm pretty successful with her but I always think I could be doing something better.

I'm doing some testing right now with Hybrid penetration and i'm seeing that they are quite good i might change that up. Thanks so much for the feedback, hope the guide helped :) I personally prefer the defensive masteries because her damage is naturally efficient due to it being health percentage and spiderlings scale extremely well into late. Thanks! :)
