Summoner Spells Back to Top

4.png  is my summoner escape of choice, as it provides excellent mobility with Flash + Arcane Shift, and can save your ass in many situations. Ghost is not a great spell on ezreal as he is Skillshot reliant in this build, and ghost is more of an AA chasing spell.

21.png Is my favourite defensive/offensive summoner on ezreal, as it can be used in many sticky situations. with ezreal's amazing mobility, he can escape sticky situations pretty easily, and barrier is yet another defensive spell to counter tower dives, and all in trades. it provides a pretty big shield  and since you will be fighting in close range alot, it helps counteract longer ranged ad's in bot lane exchanges.

14.png is a questionable spell in most matchups, but can have its advantages. if say, you are vsing a soraka, it will come in handy preventing those ridiculous heals on the enemy adc, and if you are a good enough player you should be able to win trades with your full combo + ignite in most situations. it is a risk though, so only take it if you feel confident you can outplay your opponents.

1.png i dont often use this spell on ezreal, as he should be able to dodge most CC with his arcane Shift, but if you are vsing a huge CC teamcomp this may come in handy to escape some sticky situations, for example Leona support / TF mid combo.

Reds: I take AD reds for better trading in lane and easier last hitting. its pretty mandatory on most ADC's, and the most obvious choice on ezreal, as his Q and R both scale off AD.

Yellows:
I take Armor yellows on ezreal for obvious reasons, better survival in lane and late game against all AD champions. no other yellows compare to the power of flat armor.

Blues: I take MR/LVL blues as it is very useful against AP carries who will try to assassinate you late game, and sometimes supports in lane who deal significant AP damage, such as 117_64.png. You can take AD or AP blues if they enemy team is running 5 AD, but this is very unlikely. 

Quints: I take 6% lifesteal in my quints, as this build does not build any lifesteal until your 6th item, which even then you probably will not build in most games. the lifesteal is very effective in lane for sustain and survival, and is quite noticeable even late game. If you insist on building an early vamp scepter, you may take AD quints.

Utility: 0

I take cool-down reduction in the offence tree as this build is Reliant on spamming Q's and the cool-down is quite noticeable in your damage rotation. the attack speed helps in general, and the rest of the tree is your standard ADC build, which maximizes damage output potential.

In the defensive tree, i take a point in summoners resolve, as it provides a nice 20HP addition to your barrier shield  which is quite nice. the Hp/lvl helps for survival and the armor is helpful in lane.

In the Utility tree i take 3 points in Meditation for the mana regen, as this build focuses on spamming those Q's which are essential to your damage output.

Maxing Q first is essential to your damage output early/mid game, no exceptions.

Max E second for the mobility and reduced cool-down, it also provides a nice burst mid game to squishy champions.

I prefer not to take a point in W until level 8, as its damage is measly and  the utility is insignificant after the attack speed de-buff removal, although if you have an auto attack reliant support like 412_64.png, you may take a point at 4 to maximize his damage in skirmishes, but its personal preference.

obviously take a point in R every time you can to maximize damage.

Situational Items

1036_32.png2003_32.pngx2 is my preferable start, as it provides a nice damage boost and enough sustain with 2 pots and lifesteal quints. it also helps finish your Spirit Elder item 400g faster.

1055_32.png is another optional start if you feel confident, or prefer the extra health.

 3209_32.pngcomes up next, as it provides a nice 50 AD boost, just above a BF sword, and also amazing sustain with mana and HP regen. the true damage passive procs on every single ability of ezreal's, including auto attacks. the poke is ridiculous in lane and its very hard to loose trades with this magnificent item.

3070_32.png is an item you need to grab ASAP, as it provides unlimited mana in lane for spamming those Q's and stacks up very fast with ezreals short cooldowns.


1053_32.png ~~OPTIONAL~~ if you are having a hard time, this item will help alot, but will delay your core build, so it is a personal preference

3158_32.png Should be bought next, as the cool-down reduction is just amazing for spamming those Q's, but it is personal preference on whether you want to stick with level 1 boots or upgrade before/after ice-born.

With these Three  items you should already be a wrecking machine, and people will start to focus you in fights if they are not already, and that is where the next item comes in.

3025_32.png is the bane of all ezreal opposer's. its kiting potential is ridiculous  and provides a beefy 70 armor to counter that pesky zed trying to assassinate you. the slow is just OP, and with your Q on a 2 second cool-down you are pretty much un-catchable for melee champions. the Sheen proc does some pretty serious damage late game, and the ability power provides some extra kick to every single ability cast. what can i say? this item was made for Ez. Oh, did i forget the 500 bonus mana? silly me.

3042_32.pngBy this point you should have your tear fully stacked from spamming Q, and should upgrade to muramana ASAP. the damage is just too good to miss out on.

3035_32.pngLast whisper is the next key ingredient to dealing "tonnes of damage", as it shreds your opponents armor, and allows you to pump out a tonne more damage.

3153_32.png Blade is usually my final item on Blue Build Ez, as its lifesteal keeps you alive almost  indefinitely  in team-fights, and the active is yet ANOTHER escape from that pesky Irelia. this item is just too good late game on Ez for damage, and mobility.

3026_32.pngIf you find yourself being focused down EXTREMELY fast you may want to swap this item for botrk or Spirit elder late game, but the chances of the enemy team being able to kill you is extremely low at this point, so it would be a very rare circumstance to build this item anyway.

3078_32.png If the game reaches the point where you are overflowing ca$h, trade your spirit elder in for a trinity, and stock up on blue pots to keep the CDR at 40%

MF is a tough champion to face in full on exchanges, so be very careful about how you go about this one. try to poke her down and avoid getting too close.

Twitch can be a tough matchup for Ez, and his stealth makes it hard to his skillshots and his All-in potential can exceed Ez's early game.

Varus can out-trade ez heavily, but its rather easy to poke him and dodge his skillshots so be careful and you should win this lane if you play smart.

Hi, my name is sM Limes, a regular (Platinum) League of Legends Solo Queue player.

After watching some korean/chinese teams toy around with Blue build ezreal, i decided to try him out for myself, and after vigorous testing i think i have found the perfect build to suit Blue build Ezreal.

 This build is focused around having an amazing late game damage output, combined with huge kite and CC, and surviability. Altough the early laning is a bit of a struggle, if you make it to mid game without feeding your lane, you are SURE to have an amazing mid and late, due to the sheer strength of Ez's kit combined with these items. have a test of it and let me know what you think!
