Standard Jungle summoners.


Another option for nasus jungle would be running ghost and picking up the Summoners Wrath mastery.

Personally I'd prefer to run flash because you can get out of things more easily if you get caught or if you go for a flash steal on baron/dragon.

This is my own personal preference on how I like to do masteries on Nasus. The reason I use the 9 points in utility over offense is because i like to have to extra move speed/summoner cooldown/buff duration.  If you put 9 points into offense you really only get +15 ad at level 18, and 5% cooldown. The cooldown might help your early game a tiny bit but Nasus typically builds 40% cooldown anyways and I would rather have the extra movement speed/utility on Nasus.

Siphoning Strike (Q): Max Last
  • When you think of Nasus this is probably the first think you think about with his kit.
  • While this skill is very powerful it doesn't offer much when you rank it up.
  • Leave it at the lowest possible until you are forced to put points into it because the damage is not enough to max this skill after Spirit Fire.
Wither (W): Max Second
  • This is a very powerful CC it reduces the enemy's speed more over time
  • Use this on an ADC and you will force summoner spells in teamfights
  • Max this spell second for more slow.
Spirit Fire (E): Max First
  • This is one of the strongest skill in Nasus' kit it reduces a lot of armor and is good for zone control.
  • You will be surprised at how much damage this spell actually does when you max it.
  • This skill should be maxed first because of how powerful the zone control and armor shred it provides.
Fury of the Sands (R): Put points in at 6/11/16
  • This skill has a lot of power when you first put a point into it if you buy a pink ward with the extra hp and % magic damage you can sneak a dragon
  • Max this as soon as possible

  • This should be the first big item you rush it is very cost efficient for the stats it gives you.

  • This should be your second item no matter what it is a very good team fighting item and gives you 10% CDR to spam your skills.

  • The next item you build will be very situational.
  • If you need the armor and they have auto attack based champions buy the randuins.
  • If they have a heavy ap team you can build spirit visage to complete your 40% cdr build.
  • You should try to finish one of the items if you have the gold and it should be your mid/late game goal to finish one of these items.

End Game Build vs Slows

  1. You want to rush your 3207_32.png and 3280_32.png (Skip the homeguard enchantment for now)
  2. 3190_32.png Should be your next item after you get this you can build components of 3078_32.png or 
  3. 3065_32.png/3143_32.png should be your next 2 items (refer to above section for explanation)
  4. Finish 3078_32.png if you haven't already and get Home guards now.
End Game vs AD

  1. Same the rest of the builds you want to rush 3207_32.png and get 1001_32.png somewhere in between rushing the 3207_32.png.
  2. Build a 3190_32.png next fitting in 3047_32.png somewhere while building the locket.
  3. 3065_32.png/3143_32.png should be your next 2 items since you're going against an AD heavy team build the 3143_32.png first.
  4. Finally finish off your build with 3068_32.png and get the Homeguard enchantment.
End Game vs AP

  1. RUSH 3207_32.png and get 1001_32.png while rushing if you have extra money feel free to upgrade to 3117_32.png or 3009_32.png.
  2. Build 3190_32.png next 
  3. 3065_32.png/3143_32.png should be your next 2 items. You'll want the spirit visage first against a heavy AP team.
  4. 3102_32.png I like to pick this item up against heavy AP teams because it provides an extra layer of protection from poke with the shield.
  5. If you haven't already pick up your boot enchantment

  • Pick up this item only if you need to get more armor, health, damage and if you have 3143_32.png.

  • This item is a great armor and cooldown item.
  • You can substitute this for your spirit visage if you want.
  • This also is really good against a double ad composition.

  • This is a great item for when you need to stick to people and has a great active ability both offensively and defensively.

  • This is a really good item to sustain yourself against a poke composition 
  • this item also has good synergy with 3065_32.png

  • This item also helps a lot against heavy ap/poke compositions

~Situational Items~

  • This is a really strong team item giving everyone on your team a lot of effective gold.
  • This item also helps you hit your CDR cap a lot faster.

  • This is a strong item for clearing you can E>Hydra>Auto and pretty much clear a whole wave.
  • I wouldn't really recommend buying this item unless you were really really really far ahead.

Gameplay Back to Top

~Early Game~

  • You want to do a standard blue/red or red/blue start if you expect the enemy jungler to have a slow start you can clear all your small camps too to get to level 4.
  • Around level 6 if you back and buy a pink ward to clear dragon and you can sneak a dragon.
  • Against early tower pushing strats you can run to that lane to help clear the creeps and alleviate the pressure on the map

~Mid Game~

  • Around level 6 - 11 your want to be controlling the dragons 
  • You also want to control the minion waves and try to push down towers 
  • You have really strong wave clear with your E
  • Around this point in the game you will start to get tanky and you want to aim for atleast 50 stacks on your Q

~Late Game~

  • Late game you want to zone the enemy with your E and make sure they can't insta kill your carries
  • You should also try to drop a Wither on the enemy AD carry if possible which will reduce a lot of their potential damage output
  • You should be playing as a full tank trying to absorb as much damage as possible for your carries.

Tips Back to Top

Q: 

  •  For your Q stacks there isn't really much to say except for try to farm the big creep in each camp to get the double stack and if possible try to get every stack in each camp (it is sometimes hard if you put your E through a camp and your bladed armor finishes them off) 

W: 
  • (Working on another section for this)

E:
  • Your E does a lot of burst damage
  • At early levels without blue you should try not to use it to clear unless you are planning to base soon

R:
  • Remember that your ultimate will give you a longer cast range on your abilities so if you need to get a clutch wither (w) or spirit fire (e) pop your ultimate to get the spell off.
  • Try to hold 100 mana at all times so you can pop the nasus ultimate if you need to get a quick dragon or if you need to extra HP to survive

Wither Back to Top

  1. You want to cast wither on attack speed dependent champions (ie. ADC or Bruiser top)
  2. Next you want to wither the enemies on your carries to slow them down. 
  3. Finally you will prioritize enemies that are running away from you when you are chasing

If you can get in the face of an enemy ADC and can zone them out of the fight you could wither an enemy who is diving onto your carries so you can peel and zone at the same time which helps out a lot in teamfights

  • These AD champs have their damage boosted a lot by your spirit fire.
  • Basically any champion with an AOE AD spell will work well with nasus.

  • These two champs have very good waveclear stacked on top of nasus spirit fire you can instantly clear a wave.

  • Against a heavy dive team if you have the enemy stand in both your ultimates and spirit fire you will do a ton of aoe magic damage.
