I prefer to run Ignite on Annie support although you may prefer Exhaust.  Annie will often be most of the damage once you decide to all in someone with a will timed stun so landing Ignite/Exhaust really tees up the kill for your partner.  However If you achieve first blood aim for an extremely early Sightstone or an AP Tome.  Landing Ignite secures more kills, so go with Ignite.  


Flash is mandatory on Annie.  Flash-Tibbers is nothing to fuck with.

Annie Armor Support Runes Stats:
21 Armor
16 Ability Power
8.5 Attack Damage OR  8.1 Armor Pen
                                  & 5.5 Magic Pen

2 Greater Quintessences of Armor: (4.26 Armor X 2 = 8.52 Armor)
These quints really improved my Annie Support.  They allow you to tank quite a bit especially once you get your molten shield (lvl 2 or 3.)  When these Quints are combined with Flat Armor Seals you have a  staggering 21 Armor.  
You can replace these with AP Quints but its riskier.  Health Quints are no substitute to these.   

1 Quintessence of Ability Power: (4.95 AP)
I prefer to take just one AP Quint because as an active support we will take some auto attacks and limiting yourself to just one AP Quint grants you a solid 16 AP when combined with 9 Flat AP Glyphs.  
However, 2- 3 Flat AP Quints give Annie a lot of kick for the early levels.

9 Flat AP Glyphs: (1.19 AP x 9 = 10.71 AP)
Flat AP Glyphs are most of the AP you will need all game and they are perfect for Annie support.  These are mandatory. 

9 Greater Seals of Armor: (1.41 Armor x 9 = 12.69 Armor)
Flat Armor Seals really are crucial in the bot lane. 

9 Greater Marks of Attack Damage (0.95 AD x 9 = 8.55 AD)
OR
9 Greater Marks of Hybrid Penetration: (0.90 Armor Pen. x 9 = 8.10 Armor Pen.) 
                                                                 (0.62 Magic Pen. x 9 = 5.58 Magic Pen.) 
Hybrid Pen Marks open up a world of poke for Annie.  These create a decent poke from a safe range of 625.  
But I prefer even harder hitting early game with 9 Greater Marks of Attack Damage (0.95 AD x 9 = 8.55 AD). 
However, you may favour 9 Greater Marks of Hybrid Penetration because they scale better into mid game.

  1. Max W (Incinerate) First, it is your bread and butter instant cast AOE stun.  Take a point in W whenever possible.  (Except lvl 6)
  2. Take your R (Tibbers) whenever available.
  3. Max your Q (Disintegrate) and take your 1st point in it at lvl 2 unless you will be delaying a much needed stun in doing so (in which case save your mana and your ADC's creeps my taking Molten shield at lvl 2. 
  4. Take your E (Molten Shield OP!) at lvl 2 if you don't have many stacks on pyromania otherwise take it at lvl 3 after and max it last.  I like 2 points in Molten Shield before lvl 11.

hmm your guide seems good.
i tried blops guide first because i still lack the runes from yours but i like the idea of being tankier while in lane.
I will try yours when i can

I like blops' guide, I do. I myself sometimes start with AP Quits if I think I can make more use of the aggressiveness early...but its rare. I find the reliable sturdiness of the Armor Quints makes them too good to turn down.

Since Annie, can easily afford AP in season 4, and you will be building a fair bit of AP anyways you can justify starting Armor Quints.

Pretty much agree with everyone in this guide. I usually run AP Quints and 9/0/21 masteries, but thats about it. I usually only take 1 point in molten shield early, but I can see the advatanges of taking a second.

Also, I tend to buy an early armguard as its stats help a lot in lane for auto trades and IMO Zhonyas is a must have item for a support annie. Go into middle of team, drop tibbers bomb, full combo, zhonyas, your team cleans them up and you live. Better than 500 easily shredded HPs, though I agree the slow procs on Rylais is awesome.
