Summoner Spells Back to Top

Ignite is good to trade and finish off champions and most effective against champions with sustain. Wukong has a very good and powerful combo that will do devastating damage, but sometime that isnt enough in the early rounds of the game.. so ignite will just do enough ticks that will ensure you a kill without turret diving for a kill early game.

Heal is a defensive masteries I use if I "want" to turret early, with Heal and ghost, you might get ensure your safety while turret diving, giving you an extra few turret shots in before running away from the turret. Heal also let you gank better and ensure turret diving safety. Get this if you know they will be camping within their turret range all day or you got countered and ignite won't help you too much. (Note: With the new speed boast on Heal, Heal can compensate for Ghost so you can go flash instead.) 

When to get Heal than Ignite ? Against champions like these: 17_icon_64.png-122_icon_64.png-92_icon_64.png-126_icon_64.png and sometimes even against 86_icon_64.png-84_icon_64.png-91_icon_64.png-80_icon_64.png-31_icon_64.png-41_icon_64.png.

When to use Ignite instead of Heal? Against champions like these: 83_icon_64.png-64_icon_64.png-77_icon_64.png-106_icon_64.png-2_icon_64.png-27_icon_64.png and sometimes even against 58_icon_64.png-31_icon_64.png-41_icon_64.png-5_icon_64.png-86_icon_64.png.

In terms of versatility, ignite is a more favorable opinion in most cases, just pick what you prefer.. Heal to be more safe in all aspect of the game, Or Ignite to duel better and secure more kills. (Ignite=faster kills, if you think you need that extra push for kills) (Heal=safer duels, doesnt mean you'll kill them, you might kill them.. but this make sure you wont die)

Ghost vs Flash has always been a debate between those 2. I for one prefer ghost over flash for a few reasons.
1: You have no real escape, ghost has a longer duration then flash; Shorter Cooldown
2: Better to Chase and gun down someone.
3: Easier to initiate with decoy(w)
4: Works and sync with decoy to ensure escape (So lets say you push early by accident, if you are near their turrets I feel that ghost is better than flash if you don't have boots early)
5: Better to juke with since you are faster for a much longer duration then flash can provide. (instagibb with flash)

For Flash the advantages are:
1: Better to avoid fast gank
2: Better against Maokai's and Jarvan's gank (particularly Jarvan's gank since you can flash out of his ult)
3: Works well with your ulti (Flash over wall-e-r combo) or you just cant reach the entire team you can just flash at them. (Works well against Ezreal)
4: Flash over big walls.

Ghost vs Flash are just preferences..

Other good combination of Spells:
Teleport+Flash
Exhaust+Ghost/Flash
Ignite/Exhaust+Heal

Teleport-Flash combo is really good if you are against a shen and you arent going for kill lane but instead have better dragon control or counter gank.. or ganking in general down the bot lane. Flash is to have that insta-initiation after you teleport down.

These spells below are the spells I don't recommend but they can work if you can use them correctly. (Preference thats all it is)

Exhaust can be good against Riven or Master Yi or even Darius to negate their damage output.

Ignite/Exhaust+Heal is really good against someone like Trydamere, since you really only need to win early game and heal is good enough to get you out of most situation.

AD MARKS/REDS AND AD QUINTS

This is quiet simple, normal and basic AD runes. Early game is all about how well you can farm, full ad runes helps you last hit better. (Keep in your head that you want 200 farm by 20 mins, around 170 in 20mins if you have to help your team and suffer lack in CS). I find with this new armor pen meta, theirs so much items that can help you shred armor, even if your team builds a 3071_32.png it will stack with your own Black Cleaver.    Wukong also have a build in Armor Pen(Edit: Armor Shred) with/on his Q so Full AD runes just amplify his damage. His Ulti has a 1.2 AD ratio so the more ad you can get the better!

 
Edit: Keep note, you can change these to Armor Penetration Marks against champions like Malphite and Cho that goes Doran's Shield and 1 pot. If you go ARP reds against them, you have a much higher chance of killing him during the early game.

(Note: You can switch out 2 AD Quints for 2 MS Quint.. I can explain how many times I've been saved or caught a kill by that 3% ms increase)


ARMOR SEALS/YELLOWS

Armor is normal as well.. helps you dual with bruisers and AD casters top, block minion AA, etc.. What I really like about Armor Seals is because it works with your passive armor! And also it helps you freeze lane, if you see that theres a bunch of minions running to your tower, armor will help you stop that from happening. Actually.. Dont let that happen! Dont let the tower gun down those minions, just either wait for a bit and AA a couple time here and there till your minions come (Use W decoy if you are taking too much damage). This way you can continue to freeze the lane, with Armor Yellow you can do this more effectively since you need to negate some of their damage to do this. 

Also Armor is good because you are the initiator! Sadly but its true, unless you have someone else to do it, you are most likely the one to have to do it. You have to get in there first, then either protect your AD carry or DESTROY THEM ALL! Kill their AD carry before they kill yours! 


MAG-RESIS GLYPS/BLUES

MR Glyps is all preferences, either per-level or flat.. your decision. I prefer per-level since you don't really need it until after laning phase. Maybe switch it out if you are fighting a duo AP comp. But still I would get per-lvl since it will be worth it mid-game where Wukong really shines. Sometimes I would go CDR blues if I want to go ballsdeep and there is no Magic damage by the other team. OR go armor blues against strong/all AD team.

Always get a yellow trinket first! The ward will work wonders during the early game where you are most vulnerable. Try to upgrade it when you need or when you have the money. And switch to a Red Trinket if your team needs it or against stealth champions.

This my favorite starting items. It will help  you sustain during the early game and the elixir will help you sustain your mana later into the game. Think about it this way, more mana=more abilities=more damage. Or more hp=more damage to put out=more kills. The longer you can stay in lane, the more minions you can farm.

Armor and 5 pots is good against the tough AD top, its a safe starting items. You can also go Armor 2pots and one ward also.

Really strong starter and is the normal standard lately, the new meta starting items.. but it slows down your build for safety and power in lane (early). Starting long sword is better if you know you'll win because it help increase your build. But for safety and domination in lane by having an elixir and a ward is overpowered atm to let go. The red Elixir is great later int he game when you need that extra AD since wukong's ULT has a 1.0 AD ratio.

Doran's Blade is too good of an item for early exchanges and last hitting. You might only need one and get a long sword to complete your build faster if you feel you don't need that extra sustain and hp. Going Dorans+Pot early game help you be aggressive early game as well. Doran's Shield against Strong AD top laner. I sometimes even go all 3 if I really want to win early game.

Merc or Ninja? You pick depending on the enemy team comp. I usually dont complete my boots unless the map is all opened up and laning phase and finished and you need to get to places faster. Since the buff on champions base movement speed you dont need that extra movement speed from boots like you used too.

Mobilities are good if you are winning your lane and want to roam. If you are winning but you cant risk turret diving, push your lane and roam and try to get a kill mid. With the increase movement speed it helps you a lot roaming mid or even contest dragon and run back up top without losing too much minions. You can also buy this even when you are losing but your team is winning, abandon your post and help your other lanes snowball since you cant.

You almost always need this. Armor Pen is too strong on Wukong, not to mention he can stack the armor shred with his ulti (Note: Black Cleaver does all 5 ticks of its passive with Wukong ulti on EVERYONE under his ulti.) Very beneficial to have because you will shred everyone's armor for your team to nail at them. I only rush BC if I have a heavy AD team, I'm not carrying and need to tank.

But if you are really winning your lane and laning phase is still going on (and you really want to bully them..) then Trinity is the way to go. Your kit counters her. Use your ulti while she hides in her shroud, and if she jumps out follow her with e-q. Warry though, her damage output post-6 is pretty terrifying and she will try to jump your ad carry everytime, try to prevent and peel for them.

Do not let her proc her passive or she will win, I recommend going flask+pots vs Akali to withstand her poke, only engage when your decoy is up! Watch out for her power spike at level 6, if you can withstand til level 6 then you should win with your power spike at level 6 as well.

This should actually but a mid-hard match up but its not really way too difficult like fighting Darius.
He's annoying, skill match up.. and luckily for him, he has the advantage. Try to press your advantage early by getting a long sword and 2 pots as starters. Ask your jungler to come top and force him to back so you can have a level advantage. Rush1053_32.pngand continue with your build, you win team fight if you guys end up in a stale-mate so just hold till mid-game if you can't kill him.

He bullies you, seriously.. hes a really tough champ for Wukong to square off against. Don't die to him early game and wait for team-fights, go armor 5 pots and try to press your advantage. Jungler assistance is needed! You might want to go barrier, I recommend you go barrier instead of ignite actually. (Its going to save you.., trust me lol) If you square off, you two will be pretty even, barrier will negate some of the damage from his ulti and you might win if you play it right. Note: W his ulti, and max Q instead of E, you NEVER want to straight up fight this guy.. NEVER!

The thing vs Mundo is constantly damaging him more then he can regenerate early game. And sadly for Mundo, you can burn through his Ulti with your Ulti+Ignite easily and if you cant, call out your jungler to secure the kill. After you get some damage and sustain, you can easily beat him 1v1 if he havent bought a bunch of early yet. He will outscale you 1v1 late in the game but during that time, you will always win team fight since you will kill the opposing adc faster then him.

She just cant straight up fight you when you get some items. Dont get harass too much during laning phase even if you lose some cs, but once you get to level 4 with decoy you should be able to trade with her and then outtrade with her at level 6.

Your kits counters her kit, the main idea of this battle is to (w) her ulti. If you manage to do that successfully you will win each and every trade. You do more damage then her majority of the game! Early game is quiet even or she might be even stronger if she reflects your Q .. so dont hit her while thats up or you'll lose early.

Stupid champion, Annoying, but winnable. You are the favorite going into this. Either get Armor 5pots early to stop his Q.. or Long Sword 2pots to kill him early, once you kill him early you are fine! Your mid/late-game is a lot stronger then his. I recommend barrier for this one, you might have to turret dive him.

Tough match-up to be honest with you. It was very difficult before the season change too but now its a little easier, now you have a more evenly fair chance! Sadly for you, he has the advantage and isfavoriteto win this fight. You can either go armor 5pots or gp10 route(that I've shown above) starting items. You can either stack armor (Doran's Shield) and a vamp scepter before getting your brutilizer or straight up rush your items and win mid-game since you can instagib their ad/ap carries. Go barrier, you might need to turret dive him and you want to block his ulti!! Note: W his Q!!

The Goddess of Top-Lane.. Well its GG can't do much about her lmao. Jokes... But its true its very hard to fight her straight up early. Avoid her true damage with W and only full on engage when you know you can win. She has more sustain then you so you have to keep harassing to keep her low, a good Q-E combo will work wonders for you, still max E because you still want to trade with that extra attack speed. Don't even try to kill her without ignite, it probably won't work if shes a good Irelia.

Ask for jungler to help you if he can and if he can't just farm-lane with her and get some early lifesteal to sustain in lane or even get a philostone or just a regen bead to keep you healthy in lane and farm.

Note: Don't try to engage on to her if she is near her turret, there is no point to dive for a kill against Irelia unless she is bad. Cant use barrier because you need ignite to negate her W.

Jarvan IV

Its a skill match up. Just really farm evenly with him and you will eventually be stronger then him, try not to get too far behind early. Remember to get flash.

Its a skill match up. If you don't know how to correctly use Wukong you will lose each trade to Jax no matter what. You need to know your opponents strength before engaging! This is key against Jax, avoid his 3 hit combo (he can set it up with minions too and jump at you.. so care) and don't hit him while his E is activated because it will deal more damage that way, also try to W while he's in his E to try to avoid the stun by running somewhere he isn't expecting you to run (plus it does a nice small base magic damage to him if it hits). If you can pull this off on numerous occasion you should win in 1v1 trades, if you cant.. you're screwed.. In teamfight you should win, but warry a fed or even just a late-game Jax can carry the game on his own.

Another skillmatch-up, the one with more skills wins! The way to beat Jayce is to W if you expect him to E you away (the knockback) so you can get some extra hits in or even another Q in. Try to jump him if you can when hes in range form because he will lack the armor of a bruiser and will be more like an ad carry. 1v1 full out trade you should win, his goal is to kite with no slow, your goal is to stop that and chase him like a train!

Avoid his E-Q blast though, those hurts if you get caught too many times. If you manage to surprise attack him with W-Q-E-R then DO IT and move infront of him so he if he E you , it will hit you back near his turret where "he has to run to". Even if he knockyou back while in ulti you can chase him with the extra MS and E at him again.

She used to be very difficult and annoying to handle because she can hit you from afar. The first time I fought her it was really tricky to figure out how to beat her. The way I think to win this trade-off is to W when she Q you.. Her Q amplify her damage so you want to avoid this, decoy and hide in the brush while the Q wears off then continue to attack her again. Don't let her kite you and you will win. Chances are if you can't kill her ,it will be a stale-mate lane but Wukong teamfight>Kayle teamfight. Decent match-up, you are the favorite if you play it right.

Recommend starting long-sword if you know your jungler is going to gank earlier.

Lee Sin

He fucks you up, don't try to face him after 6. If he's smart he will max E or W and you WILL lose. If anything try to win early, Wukong has one of the highest damage output early! So rush him! Kill him and you win no problem. If you cant, atleast make back and farm alot.. ALOT. You win mid-game so push that advantage in teamfight. Gank if you push lane by accident.

I know I didnt put this item above but wriggles is a really good item early against Lee! I just tried it, help you sustain and the armor help you trade damage with him. (Remember to last hit properly with wriggles, the proc might push your lane accidently)

Malphite

Hes rock in lane, you won't be enough to kill him if he gets too much armor. Thankfully for you the new meta has granted you with more Armor Pen and Armor Shred + Your Q. With this match up you might want to consider ArmPen Reds to shred more of his armor when he builds more :/. If you can, try to kill him pre-6 because after that he will just use his ulti to avoid death, but you can kill post-6 too but you have to run infront of him after you knock him up and chase him down after he Ulti to his turret.

In teamfight is all about killing his carries before he kill yours, which is easy because you do more damage then he does.. but he doesnt die to your carries either if he plays it right, hopefully your ad carry has a last whisper and all you need to do is armor shred your opposing team during your ultimate. You should win if you have the right positioning and their ad carry can't get away from you.

Try to gain a level advantage over this guy with your jungler's assistance to force him out of lane early. After this you should be okay and jump him everytime he tries to farm his Q. If you manage to kill him a couple times then you win. If you can't.. don't over extend post-6 because he will kill you if you underestimate his power and sustain. When he slows you use decoy and wait out the slow and continue to hammer him.

You win in teamfights so just wing it out if you can't kill him. Without a doubt your carries will kill him. Dont let it reach late game tho.. hes a god-like carry if it hits really late and he has really high stack farm on his Q.

No just joking lol, but she really is annoying tho. If you cant kill her pre-6 don't even try unless she overextend or you are ready to dive her with your jungler.. because after level 6, shes unchasable.. I swear not even singed can catch this kitty >.>. BUUUT IF SHE DOES OVEREXTEND (and there's no brush around..) CHASE HER WITH YOUR ULT!

You do more damage then her at all stages of the game, just don't underestimate how much she can do though, she can put out some massive damage. I recommend to go long sword 2 pots and try to kill her early. If you want to play more passive and wait til the mid-game for teamfight then go armor 5pots so you can deal with her AA harass.

Barrier or Ignite, either one is good; barrier to dive or ignite to give that little extra damage (Go barrier if you know your jungler is going to camp your lane.)

If you can avoid his Q-E combo you should be fine. The trick here is to avoid his true damage, but.. if he manage to clip you with it he will either have to run back or continue fighting, either way you still beat him if you engage with a Q-E combo and W before he E you again. (AVOID THOSE Q SO HE CANT E AGAIN) You win trades even if he has sustain, really good olaf will stay at turret all day until level 11. At level 11 DO NOT TRY TO KILL HIM WITHOUT IGNITE!! I repeat do not try to kill him after level 11 because he will beat you if you don't ignite him; his sustain, hp and free armor is too much for you to handle later on in the game unless you got your full build. (But at that point you shouldnt be fighthing him 1v1 anyway, just win teamfights)

Pantheon

You might want to get some armor for this guy, his Q is very annoying and don't ever underestimate how much damage it does and how much damage all of his abilities does.
Your goal is to Q him every time he last hit, and if his shield is up try to hit him E-AA-Q so your aa can remove his shield so you can hit again with your Q. You might want to get a philo-stone or a hp-regen bead to help you sustain in lane, or rush some lifesteal.. Either way some kind of sustain and armor will help you greatly in this matchup. I stills say start off with armor cloth and hp pots and then if you are really in trouble get a doran shield and a regen bead, then start on your brutilizer. Get a warmog if you want to if his poke is still getting to you mid-late game. Warmog Randiun BC and Ravenous Hydra will be good for sustain and help you resist the poke.. while having the hp and the damage in teamfight you will need to engage.

I haven't face many Poppy's or any good Poppy's. I have friends that mains her, but to which I have encountered and saw really good Poppy players perform. I believe Wukong is a more superior champion. Wukong and Poppy both does a lot of burst damage early and are also both quite tanky. What Wukong has over Poppy is that his Q makes his reach longer then it really is, so you can harass more then she can harass you. Also the monkey has more aoe which result in better teamfights.

The key in this match up is still safe but push your advantage of reach and high AD ratio. Once you capture the advantage just freeze lane and continue the advantage, don't try to kill her without a lot of armor pen when she puts some points on to her W.

Renekton

Armor is your bestfriend in this match up. He does a lot of damage to you! BUT PUNISH HIM when his cooldown are not up. Urgh to be honest with you, this match up is all about who has more skills but it will always be war no matter what, no matter what you do this will end up being some kind of war fest brawl. The one who wants to win more will win.
Try to Q him every time he last hit but avoid those Q and try to fight away from your minions but remember don't overextend to eat a bunch of his minions autoattacks. The reason behind this is that his Q heal is base off how much damage he can get off so you don't want him to Q entire minion wave and heal a large amount. At level 6 you can't fight him evenly unless you have a bunch of armor pen and will shred through him. I recommend either a lot of armor or good sustain items against him. You win teamfights later on since he falls off late game

Rengar

He's really annoying if he maxes his E or his Q. If he maxes his W you wont be able to kill him, too much sustain until you are level 6. Try to predict where he will jump out of his bush for last hit and punish him. Always ignite him when you can! You beat him in team-fight so its okay if its a stale-mate top, don't let him get easy harass by E-ing you, make him pay every time he tries to harass you!!

Watch out for his early game damage, his Q DOES SO MUCH DAMAGE, wait until you learn Decoy before engaging on to him, after you learn decoy you should win. DO NOT LET HIM SNOWBALL FROM YOU!

Riven

Its a skill match up. You really have to be precise when you harass Riven, try to get some free damage in and negate some damage with decoy. If you can go even with her or kill her once, it will be your lane. Use your Q to your advantage!

Rumble is real terror to handle if you don't play it right at the early levels, don't underestimate his flame-spitter+his passive, they hard a lot if you negate that damage somehow. I trick is, go into decoy and walk behind him to avoid some of the damage from flame-spitter and then blitz him from the back with everything you got. The combo should be AA-Q-W-E-R or E-AA-W-Q-R.

Do not stand in his ultimate or you will lose. I recommend you get a hexdrinker against rumble or build a lot of HP to withstand the burst, the agony that Rumble will bringabound you.

Early game is your friend, try to harass him but dont waste too much mana. Try to call on your jungler to try to help you win. Some point in the game you wont be able to kill him anymore unless you have a bloodthrister so try to just kill the mid laner or get tankier with randiun and force teamfights.

Don't stand in her W burnout for too long. That is one of the strongest OR THE STRONGEST single ability skill in the game at level 1 that can do about 600 if you stand on it for the full duration. Your goal is to burst poke her until shes low enough. Your duels with her early game will be even and if you don't die to her early game you will be able to handle her after level 6. If you can't just roam down mid and try to get a kill that way or just help your mid laner.

Just push him out of lane early, be super aggressive, if he dares comes near your minions.. slap him with a couple Q and follow up with an E if you think you can do it without receive unneeded damage. Get a long sword and 3 pots early and ask your jungler to come gank early and try to get first blood against him and you should stream roll that lane until mid-game. Mid-Late game its easy-peasy, you just win teamfights because all Singed does is run around and underleveled.

To be honest with you, theres a point in the game where you can't kill him anymore even if you tried, unless you have frozen heart and a blade of ruined kings and ignite up, you aint killing that guy lol.

Note: He's squishy before level 6 and before he gets a rod of ages so just beat him up early.. if you cant, you lose thats basically it! You HAVE to be stronger then him by mid game or you'll suffer. I recommend you to also start with a Long Sword and 3 pots (stay in base alittle after minions to get that extra pot) and then try to use that extra AD to help you kill him early! Or just get him out of lane and from farming anymore experience, and then go back and rush some lifesteal1053_32.png. Edit: If you can, I recommend going Frozen Mallet against Singed. If he can't get away.. he can't win. I also wrote this note above as well! It will be a big key factor to your victory if it seem like your carries can't change him.

Your kit counters his, simple as that. Don't die to him early game and you will win everytime, if he ults use your ulti to knock him up and guess where he will try to escape. You do more damage then he does in 1v1 and in teamfights. You have more armor, tanky, more damage, and more useful in teamfights.. = gg

Early game just try not to get too much harass and if he ever gets into Q range, shot it at him and run into the bush to minor the aa harass he will try to do. Attack him when he last hit and make use of the brushes when you go for last hit. Use Decoy to avoid getting harass, farm, or to invade surprise attack. You can start with Armor 5pots or even a regen bead into a philostone to help you sustain in lane and get the gold for all the minions you miss because you are fighting teemo lol.

Late game is easy game when you decimate their entire team. Just make sure you don't die and you win. You should scale higher then him later on the game, and make use of yoru jungler since he will be pushing if you back off from minions, care of shrooms though.. buy pink wards and clear them all.

Trundle

Too many underestimate Trundle's dueling abilities. His ulti takes your armor and mr away and makes it his own O.O.. but you're Wukong, your ulti is too much to handle even for that. The one with the kill advantage or level advantage usually take the game away. Just watch out for his Q harass and pillar when his jungler ganks. Decoy before he can get more sustain damage on you and continue to lower his hp.

If you lose early game, he will do too much base damage and too tanky for you to kill. I'll give Udyr as a hard match up since its so hard to win early game, you need to make zero mistake during this matchup.

I'm playing ranked right now.. so I'll make this one simple, W when he uses his Q and then when its gone destroy him. All and most of his damage output comes from his Q use your decoy to bait those 3 hits or you can simple run to a bush and wait for it to end and then jump at him.

Same thing as Volibear, you can basically run through his sustain if you play it right, but don't underestimate yorick.. call for gank at around level 2-4 to burn flash and then again at 5 or 6 to kill him. Wukong burst is too high to handle plus the dps he does through his ulti will secure the kill against yorick, BUT REMEMBER TO IGNITE HIM!

How to build Wukong for Dummies.

Simple rule: Rush damage first on Wukong, the first one to complete more damage items first tends to win. Unless you are losing real bad, then make sure you have a 3134_32.png before building tanky. But if you can rush Brut and LW even if you're losing, you can start assassinating champions.  

The core thing Wukong needs is pure damage, armor penetration, some HP, and a form of slow. Keep that in mind while building him.

Core Items:

  1. 2041_32.png This is a great item to start off with as Wukong, my prefer item to start off.
  2. 1054_32.png Is also a good item against strong AA/AD top laner, the regen will help you sustain better then Doran's Blade if you cant AA minions. 
  3. 1 or 2 Dorans 1055_32.png (if you are losing).
  4. Boots 1001_32.png- depends on how much money you have upgrade into either (3047_32.png3111_32.png).
  5. A Vamp Scepter 1053_32.png if your starting items were Long Sword+2 Pots.
  6. 1036_32.png one or 2 of these are essential, its part of almost every items you'll be purchasing later on.

Early Game: After core you should be either invest on:

  1. A Brutilizer 3134_32.png  (unless you can rush a BFS to build into an early BT).
    OR
  2. Build more 1036_32.pngof these bad boys. Or purchase a 1037_32.png to increase your damage output and help you build either a last whisper, frozen mallet, hyrda, or maw.
  3. 3155_32.png Against a strong AP top laner or double AP lane.
  4. Against really strong AD top laner that can kill you early even under turret. Rush a 3068_32.png after double dorans.
For early game, all you want to do is to farm, farm, farm, and farm. If you see the chance to do your E-Q or Q-E combo then go right ahead. You want to harass with Q and back off and make sure you waste your mana or useless damage and save it for later or just to farm. Once you get your brutilizer, you will become somewhat of a brute force early game. Try to help your mid lane by ganking it a couple times after 6. 

Mid Game: Offensive vs Defensive?

  1. 3072_32.png If you have the money and won your lane (or have successful ganks mid) then I recommend getting The Blood Thrister. Or go for the Hydra if you went the pickaxe route.3074_32.png
  2. Get a Giants Belt 1011_32.png into a 3143_32.png (if you need to be tanky for the team).
    OR
  3. Rush a 3035_32.png instead (or after Randiuns; Unless you skipped Brutilizer entirely for a BT/Hydra, then get LW instead of Brutilizer IF your TEAM NEED more DAMAGE. If they dont need damage, then just get a brutilizer just for the armor pen and then quickly convert into a tank for your team).
  4. 3022_32.png If they aren't really focusing you and you need more slow/damage, then get this instead of randiun.
  5. 3026_32.png If you are dying frequently, get after Brutilizer and Randiuns.
During the mid-game, you want to start ganking mid lane more making sure your mid lane win so they can start roaming and help other lane win. Try to push then gank so you don't lose too much on farm. During teamfights/Dragon fights, aim for the carries and kill them OR jump on the carries then fall back and peel for your carries after finishing your burst onto the opposing carries.

Late Game: Build what you need for your team.

  1. 3102_32.png Is very good as I mention above, it helps you negate a lot of damage/cc before/after you start your engage.
  2. 3083_32.png What can go wrong with more HP? Help with burst damage and help you regen pokes.
  3. 3156_32.png That MR AD and Passive is too good to give up. Will help you kill carries.
  4. 3065_32.png If you have some sort of lifesteal, this will help alot. I would always go banshee instead of spirit visage unless there isn't alot of cc I need to worry about.
Just tank for your team. With 2 damage items, you will already have enough damage to take down carries with Wukong E-Q-R combo. Or focus on just peeling for your carries and surviving. During teamfights try to use your decoy at the right moment to survive by going in and out safely and then engage again on the carries.

When to pick Wukong?

The best time to pick wukong is either if the top laner is really squishy (ex: rumble/teemo/elise/yasuo). Or their mid laner has very few escape mechanism (Cassio/Xerath/Ryze/Karthus). Also their ADC has low mobility (Varus/MF/Sivir/Jinx).

Wukong is really good at killing squishy champions. He does too much damage over time/burst for them to handle. Wukong is like a tanky assassin. You need to build damagem to kill but he can be a tank with his passive and peel with his ULT. He is a good and balance champion with good damage, decent tankiness, decent sneaky escape, and cc. Pick him when you just need a good champion. Wukong has very few hard counters but he can easily out play to win, and can easily get back into the game by helping his team win with his ganks and ULT.

Champions against Wukong are all skill matchups. Some are easier then some, but you can win them all since you are strong at all stages of the game. But you shine during the mid-game/teamfights which keeps him a viable pick. 

The Prons of Wukong:

  1. Good/Decent Early Game
  2. Strong CC/DPS Post6
  3. Strong Combo
  4. Tricky to handle
  5. Stealth
The Cons of Wukong:
  1. Squishy if you don't build tank items.
  2. His passive is unreliable during laning phase
  3. Takes lots of skills
  4. Strong early game champions makes his life difficult 
  5. Wukong has no sustain

Recently [Latest Update 03/01/2014]:

Recently, I havent been playing much. My laptop was complete trash (like litterally.. it went on fire.. seriously FIRE) and I ended up lagging alot and went on a huge losing streak because I had to focus on school and girlfriend etc with broken laggy overheating laptop.. which started to catch fire :/. I stopped playing for a month and half, but good part is that I bought a new computer and laptop so I might start streaming soon. I have went on a 4 winning streak since getting my new computer and scored a 17-6-9 KDA as Wukong, sadly my team lose because they refused to group.. but my mechanics with Wukong is still superior. My stats with Wukong though has disappointedly downgraded because I had "leave" a game since my laptop was on fire so I couldnt use anything to relog and connect to the game ending with a 0-0-0 score which greatly decreased my cs/kill/death/assist average. :/ But I'm currently still 9.8-4.4.-7.5 KDA average with Wukong despite all the unfortunate events.



Season 4 INFO [Updated 02/02/2014]:

I wrote this guide ever since season 2 and I've updated it every season so far. And as of right now, I am during 100% win percentage with Wukong at 4-0. I'm not exclusively a top wukong player no more with my Shen at 3-0 and last season with my best champion (by win/lose ratio) was Renekton. But in this season I have a 2.3 K/D ratio with a 11.8/4.5/8.5 within 4 games. I get almost 12 kills per game with less then 5 deaths per game and almost 9 assist per game WITH almost 190 cs average PER GAME. I'm currently Gold 2 at the moment and will try to get my platinum back this season and hopefully reach diamond. 



Season 2-3 INFO:

Look at Author Stats before judging me.. I have played over 32 games in ranked compare to the other people who made guides, trust in what I tell you. I just made it to 65.63 Win% and a 2 K/D ratio. >:D I hope you guys will learn from this, because that's all I want tbh. I love the feeling that I made someone a better player so leave a comment :3
But as you can see you aren't perfect against majority of the champions, but Wukong is a skill champion, you need skill to actually win against smart people. Its not like all of them counters you either, if you are smart you should win. If you are pro Wukong you are favored to win each match up.

Well, I say im the best wukong na.. even though its not the truth, I do feel like it. I have played over 500 games with him in ranked already I believe that I'm one of the more consistence wukong top player. You can look at Authors Stats at the top compare to the High rated Guides on here and I have the best stats in the community! Also I almost have a 2.0 kd ratio, and I think thats pretty good imo. I almost double my death in every game.
