Summoner Spells

14.png Ignite 14.png

Will increase our kill potential so we can snowball much better, it also reduces healing effects which is good against Vlad and Aatrox.

4.png Flash 4.png

Gives you the opportunity to escape, secure kills and outplay your opponent (Must have in any Situations).

6.png Ghost 6.png

Ghost is good to catch up fairly easy as well as getting in range for Autoattacks.

12.png Teleport 12.png

Teleport is really popular in the current meta, most likely because you wont lose much exp farm ect. i think its pretty viable on Tryndamere, especially because he is split pushing a lot and TP is great for that.
I recommend taking it against bad match ups.

Runes

Banner.png

This Runesetup will give you lanesutain, early tankyness and attack speed to get fury faster.

Banner.png

Razer_quint.png Quints

Flat Attack Speed

Now that Life-Steal Quints got nerfed  and Atack-Speed Quints got buffed , we rather take a Dorans Blade and the feast Mastery to get sustain.

Razer_mark.png Marks

Flat Attack Speed

Tryndamere relays on Auto Attacks as much as possible, because Auto Attacks will keep up your Fury which is important for sustain and damage.

GSeals_%282%29.png Seals

Flat Armor

The most damage you will receive comes from Auto Attacks, Minions and Turrets, all of these will deal Physical Damage even though most Top-Laners deal Physical Damage as well, so you will definitely run these.

GGlyphs_(3).png Glyphs

Flat Magic Resist or Attack Speed

I normally don't run Magic Resist Runes but they are still a good option against AP Tops such as Singed, Vlad and Rumble. Anyways,  if you don't face an AP Top Laner you can run Attack Speed to increase your Damage.

Offense - 21 points

  • I have tested around with the new Masteries and 21 Points into Offense is still best, be sure to take Frenzy because it scales so good with Tryndamere's Fury/Critical Strike System. The other Points should increase all of your Physical Damage. Taking points into Executioner instead of Spell/Blade Weaving, because Spell/Blade Weaving is pretty useless on Tryndamere.

  • With 4.5 Lifesteal Quints got nerfed so we take AS Quints to compensate some sustain.

Banner.png

Defense - 9 Points

  • With the New Defensive-Masteries Riot nerfed ranged champions on Top-Lane who constantly harassed melees with their Auto Attacks (AA's), which becomes pretty handy for melees such as Tryndamere. So in comparison with the old Masteries we sacrifice Flat MR and Armor for More Health and less damage from Auto Attacks.

In depth overview about Tryndamere's abilities:

Banner.png

Spells 1.png

Spells 2.png

Banner.png

Tryndamere's Fury-System

Tryndamere's abilities have no cost related to them,
and the use of his abilities is only limited by cooldowns.
Instead he uses Fury as his secondary resource.
Tryndamere starts with 0 Fury, and has a cap of 100 Fury.
He gains 5 Fury per auto attack, plus 5 extra Fury per critical
strike and 10 extra Fury per any unit he kills.
When out of combat for 5 seconds, Tryndamere loses 5 Fury every second.

Banner.png

Tips and Tricks to use your Abilities right:

BattleFury.jpg Battlefury:

  • Try to auto attack as much as possible to get a higher critical strike Chance

Banner.png

Bloodlust.jpg Bloodlust:

  • As higher your Fury is, as higher your Heal will be ( Highest heal without AP: 270 Level 18)

  • Even without Fury this ability heals ( 30 Hp at Level 1)

  • This ability will give you flat AD (5/10/15/20/25)

  • If you are low on health you will gain more AD

Banner.png

MockingShout.jpg Mocking Shout:

  • Even if the  enemies doesn't turn their backs to Tryndamere it will
    reduce their Attack Damage.

  • MockingShout.jpg can be used in the fog of war, but will briefly reveal Tryndamere if
    it affects an enemy.

  • Help to detect stealth units (like 29_icon_64.png17_icon_64.png35_icon_64.png ) or enemies in brushes.

Banner.png

SpinningSlash.jpg Spinning Slash:

  • SpinningSlash.jpg can be used to go through walls.

  • Remember critical strikes reduce the cooldown of this ability by 2 seconds.

  • Scales with AP and AD but deals Physical-Damage.

Banner.png

UndyingRage.jpg Undying Rage:

  • Use UndyingRage.jpg right before you die (Think before using it and when using it)

  • UndyingRage.jpg will not work against the Nexus Laser

Item Overview

Start

1036_32.png2003_32.png x3

Longword + Pots

The Longsword will increase your damage and the Pots will give sustain, but you mainly start up with a Longsword to get a fast Vamp Scepter which i key to win your lane.
Since Season 4 you are able to buy 3 Health Potions instead of 2 , which will increase your sustain even more.

Trinkets

3350_32.png3351_32.png

The only two trinkets for Top-Lane are the Totem and the Sweeping Lens, Totem will give early coverage against the Jungle and Sweeping Lens is good to detect wards and call for ganks. Its more risky to start with the Sweeping Lens but you will get more reward, if you detect your Opponents Wards and destroy them. Afterwards you can call for a gank to put more pressure against your
Lane-Opponent.

Core

3006_32.png3087_32.png3144_32.png

Bilgewater Cutlass is really great for Melees! You will get AD as well as Lifesteal and the active helps to chase.

Statikk Shiv and Berserkers are really cheap items and easy to get, as well as they will increase your Damage immensely and dont forget the passive of Statikk which will deal more damage if you critical strike.

Banner.png

Items:

3031_64.png Infinity Edge (IE):

The Infinity Edge will greatly increase the damage of your Critical Strikes even the Statikk Shiv procs will deal more Damage. Buy it if your opponents don't buy any kind of Armor.

3035_64.png Last Whisper (LW):

Obviously if your opponents stack Armor skip IE and start to get LW it will increase your damage much more.

3153_64.png  Blade of the ruined King (BOTRK):

BOTRK is great against opponents with high health as well as it gives you a great Active.

3087_64.png Statikk Shiv:

Statikk Shiv is really important, your main Damage source are Auto Attacks, and at 100 Stack your next Auto Attack will deal a huge amount of Damage, even though this item is great for Split Pushing and Teamfights, due to its AoE-Damage.

Banner.png

Defensive:

3139_32.pngMercurial Scimitar:

Obviously against CC, start with 3140_32.png and then Build it into 3139_32.png.

3026_64.pngGuardian Angel (GA):

If your opponents just went for you, get this! I rarely recommend this Item because you should manage to get in and out out of combat by yourself.

3172_32.png Zephyr:

i think its the best "Defense" -Item for Tryndamere, well the only defense it brings is the tenacity however we don't need much Armor or Health because we cant die anyways. LEL! Better get of some more hits instead of being CCed.

not bad indeed. But you lack detail in your jungle section. I don't think this guide was mean't for jungle tryndamere in the first place.

Whenever i play Tryndamere i usually go with this build. But then all my teammates are telling me that i'm so squishy. And it's true. I get one shooted in team fights.
Is there any other build that's more tankier?

Hi nice guide you have there :3.
I just have one question. You listed Kennen as an easy lane i play alot of Tryndamer but i always lose aiganst Kennen becouse of his poke and diseengage. You have any tips ?
0
Actually it depends what for Runes your opponents Kennen use:
If he is going for an AD Runepage, simply get Lifsteal and some Health you can sustain his damage back, otherwise you can always spam your W if he want to Autoattack you (Tryndameres W also reduces Attackdamage), so its kinda easy to avoid Damage from AD - Kennen. Is he about to play the AP Kennen, just get Tenacity i normally buy MR-Boots. The consistent damage from AP Kennen isn't that strong so you just need Tenacity and Health but don't only focus on both of these Stats build Damage because Kennen is squishy if he doesn't get a lot of Armor or Health.

Never mind the guide....the video is OP xDDDD.
Nah srsly the guide is quite short...just describe a little bit any enemy and explain the game. Thanks

I only wrote this Guide for Top-Lane Tryndamere, its more for Players who play this Game competitive and know how to play, they will understand why Jax is an hard Match-Up or why Vlad is an easy Match-Up . This is NOT a "General" Build.
You cant explain everything in a Guide, its even possible that a Tryndamere beats Teemo if Teemo plays super weak......... don't judge on my Guide, not everyone got a lot of time to write Guides. I think my Guide is more then "OK", i think he is good to get a nice overview about the Champ which most League players look for to be up to date.

Good guide , i use it , but i want to ask you : Ravenous hydra , is good for trynda or no ?
0
Thanks you :) and yes its is! But its a Splitpush-Item for Trynda you can get it as your 6th Item if you don't need QSS or GA but don't rush it, because you will lack in Attack Speed.

Good guide but i disagree about stacking armor as a problem for him, expecially in lane.
When you see your opponent buy armor you know that you already won the lane.
Yes, you deal less damage to them but sustain counters any kind of defense.

The only way to beat a tryndamere in lane is win a trade (quite easy) and deny him the creeps for healing(harder), if you buy defenses you can't deny him in no way ^^

You probably misunderstood that, its pretty obvious that if you play against an AD-Champ and you stack up Armor your Opponent will deal less Damage, but in my opinion especially Tryndamere gets much more weaker if your opponent stacks up Armor then normal AD Top Champs.
