Summoner spells to take.

4.png Flash  is generally my favourite option when playing Sejuani. Although it has a high cooldown, and is effectively does the same job as her Q, it can help create a HUGE gap between the enemy and you.

6.png Ghost is also a good option on Sejuani. It has a 210 second cooldown, which is 90 seconds less than flash. Sejuani has an ability similar to flash which is her Q and therefore isn't as reliable on it.


3.png Exhaust isn't extremely necessary when playing Sejuani as she has a lot of CC, however it can help secure early kills. Only take this if you think you will be fine without Ghost/Flash.

Summoner Spells NOT to take.


7.png Heal. Sejuani's first run in the jungle isn't the best, but you don't need heal. You're not an ADC.

21.png Barrier. Not very strong as you don't need it to trade. You are jungling remember.

A Rune page for Sejuani.


Sejuani's rune page is pretty straight forward, as with most champions. I have added 2 options for your Marks and 2 options for your Quints, here i will explain why.

Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed - These are my favourite Quints on Sejuani, as they are extremely good at chasing people, especially when stacked with Sejuani's CC. They also work well with the summoner spell 6.png as they stack together.

Greater Quintessence of Scaling Health - These Quints are also great on Sejuani, however i do not use them. These are great as Sejuani's W scales from health. That means more damage AND more health.

Greater Mark of Attack Speed - These are my preferable marks, as they are great in the jungle, as well as great when procing your passive. The attack speed allows you to get more hits on a target, keeping frost applied.

Great Mark of Hybrid Penetration - These marks are also a good choice when playing Sejuani, especially when building items such as 3136_32.png and 3151_32.png. These marks also allow you to deal more damage during teamfights and deal that little bit of extra damage to keep your clear time high.

NEW MASTERY TREE - Will update shortly, still testing routes such as 9/21/0, 0/30/0 and some others!
So far, 0/30/0 seems to be the best.




On Sejuani I run a 9/21/0 setup.

I put the 9 offensive points in AP/Level and Magic penetration, with some CDR and a point in Summoner's Wrath. You only want the point in Summoner's Wrath if you are using 6.png or 3.png, otherwise it has no effect.

I take 21 points in defense, as Sejuani is a tank. I have the first 9 or so points in damage reduction from minions and health, with a little armour. The next  points I take in Tenacious and Relentless. These both help stop quite a bit of CC, and with an ancient golem (and swiftness boots) can get you out of almost every sticky situation. The last few points I take are in % max health, damage reduction from turrets and critical strikes, and of course overall damage reduction.

Sejuani's Abilities.

On Sejuani, I max E first,  W second and Q last, taking my ult at 6, 11 and 16. After a lot of ranked games and quite a bit of decision making, I feel this is better on Sejuani than maxing her W first. As her W was nerfed in patch 3.8, it isn't as effective as it was before. It still works, so feel free to use it, but maxing E is a personal preference.

Maxing E also deals the most damage now, aswell as having a much greater slow, and therefore is best to max first.

Situational
With the Pre-Season patch, the 3207_32.png health was reduced, so it is advisable to sell it late game, once you have earned the gold from it. Also, getting your full build will be easier!


I always start my jungle with 1039_32.png and 2003_32.png, it is a must to stay alive! 

After my first back i will generally buy a 1080_32.png and if i can afford it some 1001_32.png. Also a few 2003_32.png will help you last in the jungle for a while, as well as being able to take some damage from ganks!

Moving into the game, I will buy a 3207_32.png  and some 3117_32.png or 3009_32.png, depending on the CC of the enemy team ( OR how often i need to gank). If I am being shutdown by a champion I would consider buying some 3047_32.png or 3111_32.png depending on if they are AD or AP. Next I will buy an  3105_32.png upgrading it to a 3190_32.png. If the enemy does not have much AP damage, build a 3068_32.png or 3143_32.png first. If the enemy team is AP heavy, consider buying a 3065_32.png as it also helps with your personal health regen rate. In most games, this is as far as you will get, but if there is an extremely long game, consider buying a 3083_32.png, or any other item listed above. If you are doing well or getting a lot of kills, consider getting 3151_32.png and 3068_32.png for some heavy damage output.

Agaisnt an AP heavy team, you will need lots of MR. As they will most likely still have an ADC, a 3143_32.png is a great item to pick up. The 3026_32.png allows for more resists agaisnt both AP and AD damage, and will give you a second life. I will grab this instead of a 3083_32.png as it gives you the extra resists aswell as bringing you back to life with about 1350 hp. As the enemy will have lots of burst damage, with your MR you don't need as much health. A 3026_32.png will also be better if the enemy ADC has a 3153_32.png.

REMEMBER: This is a guide, not instructions! Mix and Match your items as you please, if you see an item that you feel is better, send me a message!
