Why do you take them?

11.png : Absolutely essential for every jungler. Smite provides you with control over dragon/baron and allows faster jungling. There isn't any other possible choice for your first spell-slot

3.png : Great spell for counterjungling because exhaust makes it nearly impossible to duel you. Also increasing your gankingpower by a large amount since Shyvana is missing any kind of CC pre 6. Always make sure you use exhaust on the enemy Ad Carry in teamfights unless there is a higher priority target (e.g. Katarina, Kennen etc.).

4.png : I've seen quite a lot of people actually taking flash on Shyvanna. To be honest, I don't see too much sense in doing this because your ultimate will grant you the possibility to get to the target you want to kill already very easily. However if you don't like exhaust at all feel free to go for flash. Also if you are playing the half-dragon for your first time it's always safer to go with flash.


6.png : Turns you into a Master Yi 2.0 in teamfights, kinda funny to play with, however flash will normally serve u better if you need some extra mobility.

Quints: Movespeed: Allows you to escape from dangerous situations (counterjungling) + grants you the possibility to stick to the enemy's carry also without your W up.

Yellows: Armor: The new jungle hits hard so Armor is essential in order to stay alive.

Blues: CDR: Improves Clearspeed as well as mobility.

Reds: Attackspeed: With the new Devourer Upgrade for your Jungle item attackspeed marks now have the edge over hybridpen.

Sorcery: 5% CDR is big
Brute Force: Needed for Martial Mastery
Martial Mastery: Improves early clear speed

Defense:


Recovery: Basic Sustain for earlygame
Enchanted Armor: Cheap lategame armor and magic resist
Tough Skin: Keeps you alive in the Season 5 Jungle
Veteran Scars: Early game health
Bladed Armor: New jungle monsters have more HP --> this mastery got better
Juggernaut: Absolutely insanely strong, already really good in the earlygame
Hardiness: Earlygame armor
Resistance: Earlygame magicresist
Swiftness: You want to be fast, not slow
Reinforced Armor: Helps a lot vs ADcarries or crazy stuff like Yi
Evasive: 4% Is a lot for one point and a basic pickup to protect yourself against mages
Legendary Guardian: Not as good as it used be but still a strong choice
Tenacious: Just amazing

Utility: 


Fleet of foot: 418 movespeed with the runes i suggested and mercs, that's probabaly faster than any of your opponents

Situational
3083_32.png : Warmogs has been pretty strong for some time but I for my part would always prefer one of the items given above over a Warmogs. But if you need good early game tankyness  or if you need more HP reg. feel free to grab it. 

3068_32.png+3091_32.png : The new Wit's end synergies extremely well with Shyvana, Feral Flare and Sunfirecape so you may want to get this combo in 80% of your games.

3154_32.png : Wriggles got its upgrade path to feral flare which suddenly makes wriggles the go-to item for a lot of junglers.

3190_32.png : Insane Item for teamfighting you can get it if you feel like there won't be to much farming but fighting instead.

3047_32.png : Only take this pair of shoes if you aren't afraid of CC or the enemy has 4 ADs + support

3117_32.png : If you have to gank all day you maybe want to take these, however i personally don't like them on Shyvana.

3009_32.png : Ok vs enemies with plenty of slows.

1080_32.png : I don't like the spiritstone path as Shyvana because you are wasting the mana-reg.

3078_32.png : If you don't like to be tanky go and grab it, it is a really good item for Shyvana even though your wasting the part with the mana.

3071_32.png : You're dealing more magic (70%) than physical (30%) damage so the armor pen. would be wasted on you.

For the shoes 3rd tier: 
- Furor helps you chasing down their ADC
- Alacrity if you are having problems to get close enough to attack
- Captain will support your team to follow after your initiate
- Homeguard will help you if you and your team are getting poked near inhibitor turret so you can come back with full hp quickly. Also great for baron rushes.

Good job over here! I have tried this out already, and I must say that it works very well!
I just wonder if attack speed from masteries could help a bit? Then you could go for 9/21/0, it is just suggestion though.

Hi and thanks for the feedback. I actually ran the masteries you suggested before i went for 5/25/0. So it´s definitely a good choice but i prefer all the great stats i can grab in the defensive tree (especially in the last 2 tiers).

What about red attack speed marks?
mb 15% as is good for shyvana ulti and than for teamfights

I followed this guide and it went just splendid, although i changed it a tiny bit on the item set, i put a spirit of the elder lizard somewhere in there at the start and its an insane ammount of damage that she gets with all of her AOE, regardless, i loved your guide good job!

Ye Wriggles is fairly weak atm compared to the Spiritstoneitems, however Wriggles will get improved with the next patch so I hope this will help Shyvana to be a better pick again.

on the matchups part of the guide it says to kill trynd (jungle trynd) but i have trouble fighting laning trynds would i have to change my build in anyway?

This build is for jungle only, Syvana isn't a very good laner or do you mean trouble with ganking him? If you meant that i can just tell you Shyvana has a hard time ganking someone with an escape like trynd has just wait for his E to be on cooldown and u should have an ok chance

I am a shy player myself (Switch between her and support voli) I would liket o point out that if you pop her w at the right time it will help close lanes in early game.
