Summoner Spells Back to Top

Picking classic flash+iginte make your damage better,  so you will be able to kill opponents on the top line solo. Speaking about flash+teleport i should mention one thing. Your spell -  allows you yo teleport to your lantern ( W skill ) so you can easily came through walls while your  is on CD. So you can shock your opponents with flang attack, or something else. Use it wisely (;

Runes Back to Top

  • 9x
+0.95 attack damage Greater Mark of Attack Damage
  • 9x
+0.16 magic resist per level Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist
  • 9x
+1 armor Greater Seal of Armor
  • 3x
+2.25 attack damage Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage

Its is standart rune-build for AD-top off-tank, but you can see "per-level" runes for magic resist. You gonna ask me - why? Let me explain. Having flat magic resist runes you receive - 12 mres. Having "per-level" runes will offer you 12 mres on 9 level already. But you should remember Tresh passive - it will not give him any bonus magic resist per level-up, but you have base magic resist. So you will not feel hardly focused by AP opponents before level 6-9.

This masteries build allows you to have enough armor and magic resist to become a tank in mid/late game and armor penetration makes your AD stacking not so useless. I highly recommend you to take full "Legendary Armor" mastery instead of something else, because it will make your armor and mres stacking more effective.

I think, guys, that you can read the skill-description yourself, so i will just write some direct facts and explain how does it working!

Skills

Passive skill : Damnation

This is your main reason to become a tank. When a minion or champion dies near you ( about 5000 range ) it left a soul near its corpse. You should walk near it ( or use your W ability on it ) and you will drain a soul ( little ball of light ) If you will not do it for about a 10 second, a soul will dissolve and you will loose your ability power and armor. For 1st soul you pick up, you will receive 1 armor and 1 AP. For second one - 0.99 armor and 0.99 AP. For 6rd one - 0.98 armor and 0.98 AP. So, if you pick 100 souls you will receive about 60 AP and armor, but not 100. You can control your AP and armor income by mouse-overing your passive skill buff.
A little minion have about 15% chance to drop a soul. Big minions ( it also works in jungle ) - 100%, so as champions.
Also, you cant pick opponent's Tresh champion souls.

Q skill : Death sentence

This ability is your bread and butter. It make's you a great damage dealer. It's passive grants your attacks bonus AP damage effect, but it scales from your AD. But this effect has a power-cooldown. If you attack too fast it will only damage a small amount of your AD. So you should wait some time before attack again. You can control it with buff icon. There are 4 stages of buff : blue, green, orange and red.
Blue will apply 1 sec after attack, green - 3 sec, orange - 6 sec and red - 8 sec. Red - is the most powerfull stage of attack. On every level AD scaling rises, so we must max that skill 1st.
Active part of this ability works as a blitzcrank hook ( Q skill ) but with some differenses.
It has some delay before activating - about 0.5 sec ( while Tresh animates a grab ) so it can be easily evaded. It is not so fast. But if you finally make that ability to touch an enemy ( champion or minion ) it will move him toward you twice for a little distance. All that time you can reactivate the ability to make Tresh fly toward an opponent. It will help you to escape easy from ganks just hooking to the minions.

W skill : Dark passage

This ability allows you to create a lantern in some range from Tresh. This lantern grants shield to ally champions and allows them to press on it with right mouse button and make a fly to Tresh position. It make's you a perfect ranged AD carry protector. Just put a lantern near it in team fight and if opponent's champions will focus it, ask him to click on it. He will fly toward you far away from enemy engage. Profit! Also that ability can ward a treebush and be a target of a teleport (!) An allies can activate teleport spell and even if lanter will end teleport work. You can put a lantern in a treebush and ask your teammates for gank with teleport. Interesting, isnt it? (;

E skill : Flay

You can and should use that ability to counter assasins. Nothing more pretty than to counter shen or lee sin flight for target with it. If you cast Flay with it pointing at your target, it will knock them away. If you cast with it pointing at you or away from your targets, it will pull them to you. It has a small knock-up and slow component and is relatively short range, it is a great spell to use after you've pulled some one in or ported into a fight to disrupt people.

R skill : The Box

Tresh ultimate ability creates a box ( obviously, isnt it? ) with 5 walls. If enemy champion touches the wall - he will receive some magic damage and will be slowed by maximum available slow  in the game for 2 sec. Than if he touches other wall - he will be damaged and slowed again. This ability is perfect to use for covering your AP or AD carry from engage, or to slow down enemy after hooking them with Q ability. Also dont forget to use E skill to push enemies and make them hitting the box. Slow and damage is so pretty in team fights (:

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

If an enemy on top is AD damage dealer or you want to stay farm longer ( recommended because of passive )
For AP top or for evade-needed characters. ( less usefull )

Core Items

Frozen mallet allow you to slow opponents and keep them on distance for harass. Wit's end grants you magic resist ( you need it hardly ) and bonus AP damage. Buy hexdrinker if enemy team has got lots of AP ( recommended )
Some other build, that will allow you to buy Bloodthirster. But it is not as good as previous one. ( Less usefull )

Situational Items

Tresh item build can ( and should! ) be variative. You must understand and analize, whom from enemy team will be the most dangerous opponent, whom shall you counter and what must you buy for this. Dont be afraid of trying something new, but be logical and you will be effective even in bad allies team.

VS

Cho'Gath

Medium

Just evade his Q ability and harass him hardly. Try to position yourself in such way, that his E passive will not damage you. Attack every 5-7 sec ( stack damage )

VS

Darius

Hard

Really hard opponent. You can't harass him, without being pulled and damaged. His ulti has true damage, so your stackable armor isnt valuable in that way. Try to pull him to tower with your Q ability, while you are under effect of his passive. ( The tower will attack him while he is on hook )

VS

Elise

Medium

Just evade her stun and exploding spider ( stay behind the minions ) Harras her easily ( you have much more damage and better range. If she jumps to you with her E ability - use your and through her out.

VS

Fiora

Easy

Rather easy opponent. Be carefull looking at her parry ability and be always prepared to use E if she is rushing toward you.

VS

Gangplank

Easy

The only problem with GP is his Parrley ability ( Q ) Try to damage him before he will shot you.

VS

Garen

Hard

Fat, fat and once more - fat. He can regenerate and easily live on line under your harass. Try to attack him in the way that his passive will not activate. ( every 5-7 sec ) If he is charging you - use your E ability to throught him away and break his Q attack engage.

VS

Irelia

Easy

Just like with fiora, but be afraid of her stun, it can easily make you a good target for enemy jungler gank.

VS

Jax

Hard

Another hard opponent. He can parry you attack's with his ability, can jump towards you and has mixed damage ( AP damage will make you to change your build )

VS

Jayce

Medium

Big range, but not so much health. Just try to punch him when he is in his Range Stance, while he has less armor and mres.

VS

Kayle

Hard

Great AP ranged attacks, slow and great ulti will not allow you to feel free in line. Just try to farm and harass her when her E ability is on cooldown.

VS

Kha'Zix

Medium

His rockets can damage you in a great way. Stay behing minions and harras him if he want to attack your minions with auto-attack. If he jumps toward you - E ability will help.

VS

Lee Sin

Easy

Evade his Q ability. Even if he targeted and marked you with it - prepare to use E if he rushes toward you. Harass when he is trying to lasthit minions.

VS

Malphite

Medium

His passive barrier will make your line phase hard. Just try to attack him every 3-5 sec not to let his passive to reload.

VS

Mordekaiser

Easy

Harras him from your max range. Try to hit him while his shield is on low or off.

VS

Nasus

Medium

Before level 6 - he is easy target, but after - just try not let him come close to you

VS

Olaf

Easy

Evade his axes and harras. If he finally slow you and run toward - through him away or if he is tower-diving - hook him

VS

Pantheon

Hard

His passive makes you cry. Try to attack him as fast as you can in time it is off. You can prepare and through him away if he jumps toward you to stun, but you will be stunned anyway.

VS

Rengar

Easy

Harras and do not let him enter treebushes. If you see him entering ulti - use your Q and bind him for some seconds, wasting his ulti bonus.

VS

Riven

Medium

Her barrier and stun can make some problem. Also she is very fast and you cant evade her Q strike with your E.

VS

Rumble

Medium

Try to evade his E and Q spell, attack him in the periods of his overheating or cooldown of abilities.

VS

Shen

Medium

Do not let him taunt you. Through him away. Harras him all the time and do not let him heal on his Q ability.

Match-ups Back to Top

The most problem you will have with champions who will block you farm. When you will meet them - ask your jungler for help, or soon you will be useless. Dont forget about using your Q ability under your tower to pull the enemy under it. Its your place for fight, so use it! (;
