Summoner Spells Back to Top

4.png
.. is mandatory. You have no escape so there we have another reason to take it. Honestly, you shouldn't be playing any ADC without Flash.

1.png
.. is great against hard CC comps. Basically, any team comp which relies on an Amumu/Sona/Leona ultimate to do their magic, you will have to take Cleanse.

21.png
.. is honestly the best spell right now for AD in solo queue. Low cooldown, lets you trade with a safe backup, makes baits possible.. etc. It is, all-in-all, a great summoner spell for the ADC right now and I greatly recommend everyone to at least try it.

Runes Back to Top

  • 9x
+0.95 attack damage Greater Mark of Attack Damage
  • 9x
+0.16 magic resist per level Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist
  • 9x
+1 armor Greater Seal of Armor
  • 3x
+2.25 attack damage Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage

Very standard ADC runepage. You can replace your Marks with 9 Armor Penetration if you are up against a Taric/Graves for example. Else, not much to change. This works currently, so we all use it.

Utility: 0

These are my usual MF masteries. With 21 in Offense you get the most out of MF. Take a closer look at it though, I ignore attack speed and rather take the CDR. Also Havoc is pretty weak. +2% dmg... if we assume you just dealt 100 dmg with Havoc it would have been 102. Just not needed. The 2 points into Butcher can certainly help you cs easier and Destruction isn't bad either. 1 in defense when I take Cleanse. When I take Barrier I like my longer buff in the utility tree, but when I want to trade a lot early I might still go for the 1 point in Defense.

Hey? Why don't you skill your slow at all? Simple. It's mana hungry, the slow is only 1 second and weak and you get way more out of each level you put into Q or W. The only situation I can think of when I would skill E would be me being in a bad position where I don't want to facecheck something and just got a level up. That would be the only scenario.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

Always right, never wrong. Honestly, get Doran's on any AD, you won't ever regret it.
You go Longsword+2 for early Vamp scepter.
I only take boots when my lane relies on dodging one skillshot: Blitz' Grab. Even then, when I'm feeling confident enough in my passive, I will go for Doran's.

Core Items

Bloodthirster and Black Cleaver will always be your first two items(along with some Doran's sometimes). You can't argue with me here, sorry, those two items give MF everything she needs.
This is my current 6 item build. Obviously it varies, but these will be the items I usually go for.
This shiny new item just got a huge buff and is very very considerable to take it over the BT for the lategame

Situational Items

Take this against a fed Kassadin or Nidalee
If you don't feel like getting Warmogs, and want more DPS go for Shiv or PD. Shiv is better midgame or waveclearing.
    Against heavy CC
If you don't feel like getting Warmogs, and want more DPS go for Shiv or PD. PD is better for the lategame.
For your starting items you will mostly take a Doran's Blade. You can go for Boots if you aren't comfortable in your footwork and on top of that you're against Blitz or Leona. Longsword+2 pots just isn't ideal anymore. Botlane isn't about outsustaining your opponent with pots anymore. Don't do it.

As I mentioned above, Bloodthirster and Black Cleaver are most of the time my very first two items. However, sometimes when I prefer raw dmg over the armor shred, I will go for the Last Whisper over Black Cleaver.

After your first two items you can upgrade your boots and either look for a defensive Item(Warmogs, Randuin's) or go for Attack Speed now. Your best bet for Attack Speed is Phantom Dancer on MF right now, with its passive and yours you should escape most stuff. However, if you didn't have the best laning phase it's not wrong going for 2 Doran's Blade and an Avarice Blade which you will eventually upgrade into Statik's Shiv.

Currently, in our lovely League of Bruisers, your enemy end up with tons and tons of HP. Blade of the Ruined King just got a very nice buff, and deals percential damage based on your enemy's current HP so selling Bloodthirster for Blade of the Ruined King is not a bad decision.

Your other, non-meta defensive options(we are still in the HP stacking meta) would be Mercurial's or Banshee's. First is very good against heavy CC and you having Cleanse. The latter you should only consider against a very fed Kass/Nid/Lux or a very skilled Blitzcrank.

VS

Ahri

Medium

Her charges can be a real pain, stay close to your support and hope he locks her down for you.

VS

Akali

Hard

Easily the most annoying anti carry right now. If fed she'll 100 to 0 you in a matter of seconds without you having a great chance of escaping. Hug a wall, flash over it and hit a good ult. Only way to deal with a fed Akali. Oh, and obviously pink wards.

VS

Ashe

Easy

Incredibly easy match up. Her range is 50 above yours but she just has no lane presence at all. She most likely wasted her crit from the passive on the golems or while helping her jungler so she should be no threat for you at all. Pop Impure Shots, look for an exchange, watch as her HP drops.

VS

Blitzcrank

Medium

You must always keep one eye on the creeps, and the other on Blitz right hand. Dodging the hook will be your biggest concern, and waiting for your ult before he uses his(so he doesnt immediately cancels yours) is also important.

VS

Caitlyn

Medium

Caitlyn can become extremely annoying. Due her far superior range she will always get a couple of free autoattacks onto you. Your support should react accordingly, as she tries landing her passive buffed AA onto you and you engage on her. Her escape is weak and in a fair and square 1v1 you do more damage.

VS

Corki

Easy

Another easy match up. He might have better burst at lvl1 but from there onwards you take the lead. His range is just like yours, his mana costs stupidly high and his escape on a 26s CD.

VS

Draven

Medium

Hm. Draven is honestly one of the hardest botlanes for MF, if not the hardest. You can simply win by just farming since your ult brings way more to the teamfight than his. Else than that, don't trade with him too much. His early game is just stronger than yours.

VS

Ezreal

Easy

Another easy match-up. The only thing Ez can do well is get out of MF's ultimate fast. Else he is just another AD Carry waiting to be stomped by you.

VS

Fizz

Hard

Another annoying match-up. Once fed, he'll try to make your live hell.

VS

Graves

Easy

His built in tankiness is a bit annoying, his range but compensates for that. Get free autohits off when he goes for the caster minion at the back and disengage. Since you have superior range he won't be able to follow up.

VS

Leona

Medium

Very strong pick against MF. She has more than 1 way of interrupting your ultimate, on of them being on a very nice range. Can all in on you and with W start taking the role of a meatshield. Along with Thresh, the best support to pick against MF.

VS

Tristana

Easy

Tris can be tricky, but is not in most of the cases. Farm early game, take advantage of her horrible mid game.

VS

Twitch

Medium

Twitch is another fine pick against MF. He can trade with you as well and due to his dot, true dmg and attack speed steroid. The only thing he doesn't have is a reliable escape so have your support carry pink wards and you can all in on him.

Botlane Synergy Back to Top

The best support right now for MF are 44_icon_64.png and 37_icon_64.png. Taric offers reliable CC, armor+armor shred, a heal and good dmg with built in AD boost. Sona will offer your lane strong poke and decen heals and probably the best ultimate combination. Crescendo and Bullet Time work perfectly together and melt any other AD.

Worthy to note are 89_icon_64.png and 53_icon_64.png. Both supports in skilled hands will be a nightmare for your enemy.

Early Game Back to Top

The early game is like a walk in the garden for MF. There are basic little things you should follow though:

  • Use Double Up on the minion just in front of your enemy for maximum damage output and follow with one autoattack
  • Strut will give you more movement speed than any enemy AD and MS means free trading. You can always make the first hit, simply by moving faster than the enemy and immediately disengaging since your passive wasn't interrupted yet. This doesn't seem like a lot, but trust me, any free aa you are getting off is vital for longer exchanges
  • When you want to go for a real trade, don't use Impure Shots immediately. Most enemy ADs know, that they can't trade with you while it is on and will immediately back off seeing you activate it. Wait for them to engage, and hit W the moment(!! very important) your bullet is mid-air. It will still get the debuff and you didn't give anything away.
  • The moment you hit 6, your DPS just got an incredible boost. This is where you tell your jungler to come gank or your support to go all-in. You get one good ult off, and you will watch the enemy drop or blow their summoners.

Mid Game Back to Top

Time for teamfights. You are the AD, your positioning decides the fight. You have two jobs in teamfights:

  • Staying alive.
  • Getting a good ultimate across.

Hey, whats this? You just finished your 3071_32.png on top of 3072_32.png ? GREAT, your addition to the teamfight just doubled. Your ultimate will apply the passive from Black Cleaver, so enjoy watching everybody having their armor shredded. Once again, stay back, and for god's sake, get a good ult off! It decides so much!

Late Game Back to Top

Not much has changed. Your main jobs are still the same, staying alive and getting that Bullet Time safely across. On top of that you also do amazing AA dmg, have an outstanding AS steroid and your slow is finally useful.

About me Back to Top

Hey guys, I'm Sakujoyou my smurf is Sakulicious. S2 Platinum, S3 Diamond I: Got mostly to Diamond with MF this season, went 17-4 with her from Plat to Diamond. Had a great time, learned a lot about AD Carries in general and felt I should at least make a Guide for MF, since she carried me.

Any questions or suggestions are highly appreciated, just leave them in the comments. Will try to keep this guide updated as much as I can.
Cheers
