Patch 7.5 Rundown: Aatrox Gameplay Update

The big changes this patch is the gameplay update to Aatrox and targeted nerfs towards three specific marksmen that have been dominating.

Aside from that, big changes in Keytsone masteries with a revamping of Warlord's Bloodlust as well as the introduction of a completely new mastery, Stoneborn Pact, that will replace Bond of Stone

Mini Rework: Health Costs Reduced, updated Passive,
other changes to Dark Flight, Blood Thirst/Blood Price
and Blades of Torment

What's New:
  • Blood Well (Passive) - Updated
    • Blood Well: Aatrox fills his Blood Well through his abilities. When he reaches 100%, Blood Well begins to drain over 4 seconds, giving him Blood Rush for the Duration.

    • Blood Rush: Aatrox gains 25% base attack damage and 20-50% attack speed depending on his level. Upon taking fatal damage, Aatrox will revive and recover 30% of his max health.

    • Revive Cooldown changed from 225/200/175/150 (at levels 1/6/11/16) to 180-120 seconds (at levels 1-18).

  • Dark Flight (Q)
    • Cost Removed: Ability Cost changed from 10% current health to No cost.
    • Base damage changed from 70/115/160/205/250 (+60% Bonus AD) to 10/35/60/95/120 (+110% TOTAL Attack Damage).
    • New - Now fills 20% of Blood Well upon cast.

  • Blood Thirst (W)
    • Heal changed from 20/25/30/35/40 (+25% Bonus AD) to 30/45/60/75/90 (+5% missing health).
    • No longer triples the healing while below 50% health.

  • Blood Price (W)
    • Cost Removed: Ability Cost changed from 15/23.75/32.5/41.25/50 health to No cost.
    • Damage reduced from 60/95/130/165/200 (+100% Bonus AD) to 30/60/90/120/150 (+75% Bonus AD).
    • New - Now fills 20% of Blood Well on proc.

  • Blades of Torment (E)
    • Cost changed from 5% current health to 30 health.
    • Damage changed from 75/110/145/180/215 (+60% AP) (+60% Bonus AD) magic damage to 70/110/150/190/230 (+70% Bonus AD) physical damage.
    • Slow Potency changed from 40% at all ranks to 30/35/40/45/50%.
    • Slow Duration changed from 1.75/2/2.25/2.5/2.75 seconds to 2 seconds at all ranks.
    • New - Now fills 20% of Blood Well upon cast.


Urchin Strike buffed, Seastone Trident bleed nerfed, mark buffed, Chum The Waters nerfed

What's New:

Urchin Strike (Q)

  • AP ratio increased from +35% AP to 55% AP.

Seastone Trident (W)

  • Bleed Duration reduced from 4 seconds to 3 seconds (total damage unchanged).
  • Mark Duration increased from 4 seconds to 6 seconds.

Chum The Waters (R)

  • When fishes reach their target location without attaching to anything, the check for a nearby target to attach to is now less generous.
  • Whiffed fishes are no longer picked up by enemies that walk over them.



Buff to Passive's jungle mark rules to be more favourable for Kindred

What's New:

Mark of the Kindred (Passive)

  • Wolf Marking: After 70 seconds 50 seconds of having no active jungle mark, Wolf marks an enemy jungle monster for 5 minutes 3 minutes.
  • Possible camps for Wolf’s jungle marking have been updated, based on how many stacks Kindred currently has. At the indicated number of stacks, Wolf can mark:

    First Tier: Rift Scuttler, Crimson Raptor (marks 1, 2, 3) changed to Rift Scuttler (mark 1).

    Second Tier:  Crimson Raptor, Gromp, Ancient Krug, Greater Murk Wolf (marks 4, 5) changed to Rift Scuttler, Crimson Raptor, Gromp (marks 2, 3, 4).

    Third Tier: Red Brambleback, Blue Sentinel, Rift Herald, Elemental Drakes (marks 6, 7) changed to Red Brambleback, Blue Sentinel, Ancient Krug, Greater Murk Wolf (marks 5, 6, 7, 8).

    Fourth Tier: Baron Nashor, Elder Dragon (marks 8+) changed to Rift Herald, Baron Nashor, Elemental Drakes, Elder Dragon (marks 9+).


Buffs to Shatter Orb's wave clear, nerfs to Distortion.

What's New:

Shatter Orb (Q)

  • Damage to Minions changed from 40% to 80%.
  • Reminder: Shatter Orb’s modified damage against minions extends to any Sigils of Malice it triggers.

Distortion (W)

  • Damage reduced from 85/120/155/190/225 (+60% AP) to 40/55/70/85/100 (+20% AP).
  • Mimic Damage reduced from 125/225/325 (+50% AP) to 60/120/180 (+30% AP).



Piercing Light and Ardent Blaze
are smoother to cast

What's New:

Piercing Light (Q)

  • Cast Time changed from 0.35 seconds to 0.4 - 0.25 seconds (at levels 1-18).
  • Lucian more reliably responds to commands issued immediately after Piercing Light’s cast time.

Ardent Blaze (W)

  • Cast Time changed from 0.3 seconds to 0.25 seconds.
  • Lucian more reliably responds to commands issued immediately after Ardent Blaze’s cast time.

Miss Fortune

to Double Up

What's New:

Double Up (Q):


  • Bounce Base Damage reduced from 40/70/100/130/160 to 20/35/50/65/80 (matching the first hit).
  • Bounce total AD Ratio reduced from 100% to 85% (matching the first hit)
  • Bounce AP Ratio reduced from 50% to 35% (matching the first hit).
  • Bounces no longer deals 50% increased damage when the first hit kills a target
  • Bounces can now critically strike, and always critically strike when the first hit kills a target. Damage is affected by crit multipliers (ex. Infinity Edge).



Base armor down, Battle Roar health heal vs monsters nerfed

What's New:

Base Stats

  • Base armor reduced from 25.88 to 22.

Battle Roar (W)

  • Gray Health Converstion reduced from 100% monster damage taken to 75% monster damage taken.


Nerfs to Rune Prison and
Spell Flux

What's New:

Rune Prison (W)

  • Base Root Duration changed from 1 second to 0.75 seconds (empowered duration unchanged).

Spell Flux (E)

  • Cooldown increased from 2.25 seconds to 3.25/3/2.75/2.5/2.25 seconds.



Nerfs to Piercing Arrow

What's New:


Piercing Arrow (Q)

  • AD ratio reduced from 100 - 165% total attack damage, scaling with charge duration to 100 - 150% total attack damage, scaling with charge duration.
  • Cooldown increased from 16/14/12/10/8 seconds to 20/18/16/14/12 seconds.

  • Piercing Arrow’s cooldown is now reduced by 4 seconds (reduced by cooldown reduction) if it detonates Blight stacks on a champion.




Blade of the Ruined King

  • Combine cost reduced from 900 gold (3400 total) to 800 gold (3300 total).
  • Attack Damage increased from 25 to 40.
  • Attack Speed reduced from 40% to 25%.
  • Life Steal increased from 10% to 15%.
  • Active damage changed from 10% of targets max health as physical damage to 100 magic damage.
  • Damage dealt by the active is no longer converted to a heal.
  • Passive on-hit damage now has a minimum of 10 15 on hit damage.

Edge of Night

  • Shield Duration decreased from 10 seconds to 5 seconds




NEW: Stoneborn Pact

Bond of Stone replaced with Stoneborn Pact. Allies heal when attacking enemies you’ve marked with movement-impairing effects
  • Gain 5% maximum health
  • Your movement impairing effects effects mark enemy champions with an earthen rune that heals other allied champions who basic-attack them for 5 (+2.5% of your maximum health) over 2 seconds. The mark lasts 4 seconds.
  • If an enemy is marked by multiple Stoneborn Pacts, allies heal from the strongest mark that’s not their own

Warlord's Bloodlust


Now an Energized effect. Energized attacks gain lifesteal and grant movement speed.

  • REMOVED: Basic attacks no longer gain up to 15% lifesteal based on your missing health. 50% effective against minions for melee champions (25% for ranged champions)
  • New Effect: Moving or attacking will make an attack Energized. Your energized attacks have lifesteal and grant 30% movement speed for 0.75 seconds.
  • Lifesteal at level 1: 1%
  • Lifesteal at level 18: 50%

Deathfire Touch

  • Bonus AD Ratio reduced from 60% to 45%


Summoner Spells



No longer reduces attack speed or resistances.

  • No longer reduces target’s armor and magic resist by 10.
  • No longer reduces target’s attack speed by 30%.
