Summoner Spells Back to Top

14.pngIgnite - Great spell to finish off low health opponents when you've used all your abilities. It works well with your kit as you should play Ahri as an assassin. Adds that extra true damage to completely 100-0 a squishy opponent. Highly recommend this spell in 99% of your games.

12.pngTeleport - Situational spell as it's not really needed. If you're laning against a hard matchup or you're playing top lane then teleport would let you have a free back, buy potions or items whatever you need and instantly come back to lane. Personally I would grab teleport if I'm laning against 4.png but if you're confident in the early levels (1-5), you should be able to kill him and snowball with ignite.

1.png Cleanse - Again a situational spell. I would use this against 4.png127.png. That's if you're not confident in a 1v1 duel or their mid/jungle have great synergy. It's also a good spell to have if the enemy team has a lot of CC 85.png60.png127.png22.png201.png for example a team comp like that. Personally I never use cleanse on Ahri as I'm confident in dueling the enemy and snowballing off that to win the game.

Masteries Back to Top

I'm not going to go in detail why I go all of these points. But I run 12/18/0.

Starting of in the ferocity I go Sorcery for the percentage increased ability damage. Feast to keep me well sustained in lane. You can go Double Edged Sword for the extra damage but personally the sustain is more worth it. Natural Talent for the extra AD/AP per level as you don't need spell vamp/life steal. And lastly Bounty Hunter for the increased damage for each enemy champion you have killed. You can go Oppressor but depending on your play style, if you kill the enemy laner early and snowball, Bounty Hunter will furthermore snowball your lead whereas Oppressor increases your damage if the enemy is in CC.

Now into cunning I go Wanderer for the movement speed. Honestly Savagery is not worth to have as it's only 5 bonus damage to minions and monsters and once you hit late game, that 5 bonus damage is useless. Secret Stash for the extra sustain in lane, longer than normal potions and restores 15 health and mana instantly on use. Merciless for the extra damage when the opponent is low. Dangerous game to restore 5% of your missing health and mana. It's really a game changing mastery as say if you solo killed the enemy mid laner and they ignited you, that 5% could be the reason you live. Lastly Thunderlord's Decree. This mastery is essential for Ahri as you can combo really well. Your 3rd attack or damage spell on the same enemy deals bonus damage to them.

I'm not going to explain each of Ahri's ability. If you're new to Ahri you can watch her champion spotlight here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlalkAUkwqE

Why I max ahriorbofdeception.png first is because it's her primary damage spell. It should be used for harass, wave clear, poking and can be used to check brushes.
I max ahrifoxfire.png second because if your ahriorbofdeception.png is on cool-down or you missed with it, ahrifoxfire.png is a back up ability that will certainly hit the opponent. It deals nice damage and the opponent wouldn't see it coming.
I max ahriseduce.png last because well, it's the last thing to max.
And I max ahritumble.png whenever I can so at levels 6/11/16.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

Core Items

Situational Items

You should always start with Doran's Ring 2 potions. The ring for the early AP and mana sustain and the potions for health sustain. 1056.png2009.png

For core items, once you have Morellonomicon, Deathcap and Voidstaff. You should be able to one-shot a squishy opponent. I go Morellonomicon first, followed into Deathcap then into Voidstaff. Finish your boots into Sorcerer's Shoes whenever you can. 3165.png3089.png3135.png3020.png

For situational items, if you're vsing an AP champ and behind, rush a Negation Cloak first. Then once you finish your core items, go into Abyssal Scepter. If ahead, I go Lost Chapter first, then Negatron Cloak, then finish off your core items, then go into Abyssal Scepter. Go Mejais if you're really ahead and you know you can snowball. If you're heading into late game and you have all this gold, sell your boots for Rylai's Crystal Scepter. It gives you a good amount of HP and AP but you lose your Movement speed. Lastly Zhonya's Hourglass. Buy this first item if you're against an AD champ. Whether behind or not, it is essential as they can still deal heaps of damage. 3001.png3041.png3116.png3157.png

VS

Aurelion Sol

Easy

This matchup should be fairly easy for you. Once you hit level 6, you'll be able to dodge all of his abilities and win the trade/killing him.

VS

Cassiopeia

Hard

Personally I hate laning against Cassiopeia. Her DPS is far superior to Ahri.

VS

LeBlanc

Medium

Depending on how good you are, LeBlanc is a hard champion to win against as Ahri. She can deal more damage and dodge your abilities. However if you're able to land your abilities, you might be able to win the matchup.

VS

Lissandra

Medium

I'd say this matchup goes either way. Which ever gets the kill first is most likely going to win in the matchup. You should look to go for an all in at levels 1-5.

VS

Orianna

Easy

Just dodge her ultimate and you'll be fine.

VS

Ryze

Medium

Just dodge his Q and you'll be fine.

VS

Syndra

Medium

Syndra is sort of a counter to Ahri as she can displace your ultimate and burst you from a safe distance. To win this matchup you simply have to outplay her by landing your charm and in that duration, kill her.

VS

Twisted Fate

Medium

Gold card is broken

VS

Viktor

Easy

You should be fine against Viktor. He has no mobility so its easy to land your skill shots.

VS

Vladimir

Hard

His pool is meh

VS

Yasuo

Hard

This matchup is difficult for Ahri but is winnable. To win you pretty much have to outplay the Yasuo or look for good openings such as if his windwall is down. HIs early damage is huge so you have to be careful about that.

VS

Zed

Medium

This matchup takes a lot of skill from either side to win. For Ahri it should be good because of her range and sustain. One tip is that whenever Zed uses his ult, he always goes behind you. So once he ults, use your charm behind yourself to land it.

Combos Back to Top

There are good combos for Ahri.

E followed up by flash instantly is a good combo to catch your opponent off guard and kill them.

E followed up by Q is an essential combo as it procs your Thunderlord's.

R,E flash - same as the first one but to cover up the distance.

E,W,Q to maximise your damage in at levels 1-5.
