Summoner Spells Back to Top

4.png Flash a must on on Blitzcrank as it allows for the flash-rocketgrab.png, flash-powerfist.png, or flash-staticfield.png. I've tried 6.png, but 4.png is much better since it allows a much more unexpected addition range on your rocketgrab.png.

14.png I typically go ignite on 75% of my Blitzcrank games. Since blitz is one of the best early game supports, landing a rocketgrab.pngpowerfist.png and ignite pretty much guarantees a kill on hook you hook.

3.png If they have an assassin that you feel like will destroy your adc(like a 238.png or a 91.png.) Also very useful for some ADCs, like a 429.png.

Pretty self-explanatory, only real difference I ever use is switching bandit for dangerous game when I feel that I might need that extra 5% vs a hard matchup.

This is my typical skill order. Only real change I would make would be level 3. If im getting ganked or extremly low hp and fighting I would max W in order to get a little bit of an extra escape.


R>Q>E>W

This maximizes damage from your ult (and ults passive.)

Q second for more dmg (300 magic dmg from a q at max rank,) and also that sweet sweet cooldown.

E third for more cc and cd om e, I normally get to proc it several times in a single team fight.

W last since it just isn't worth maxing anymore as it will slow you down after it ends.

Starting Items

    Your typical melee support first buy, relic allows for more sustain in lane, and a bit more hp for fighting early.
    Next I normally buy these items in order to chase down people, survive ganks, and make more money.
    I typically get these items for more warding coverage and so I can chase them down and hook them.
    I get aegis and go into locket, the kindle gem is very nice for the 10% CDR.
    Pinks are one of the most important items that you can buy in League. They not only give perma vision, they also deny the enemies vision. Extremely important if they have a stealth champ like Rengar or Talon.

Core Items

    This is my typical ending build. Pink wards are very important in the end game, although I sometimes just rely on my sweeper if they don't have a stealth champion.

Situational Items

    I sometime swap out Randuins for Deadmans if they have high AS champs.
    I normally build a IBC if I am really ahead as it works will with your e and also adds a bit more cc, but isn't worth the money on a support.
    Very useful if they have suppression champs like Malz or WW.

rocketgrab.png On the Cow Means a Free pulverize.png on you and your ad, which leads into a headbutt.png on your ad onto their ad.

rocketgrab.png Means Bard is a spot he does not want to be in. Bard relys on early game pressure to win, and rocketgrab.png means Bard cant walk up and auto your AD with meeps.

However if the Bard is a good player and can dodge your rocketgrab.png, it is very easy for them to land a bardQ.png, since you have almost no pressure until your rocketgrab.png is up again.

VS

Ezreal

ezrealarcaneshift.png Means pre-6 any halfway decent 81.png will be able to dodge your rocketgrab.png with ease. Post-6, if you walk up to 81.png and staticfield.png, you get a really easy rocketgrab.png onto them.

Kalista

kalistapassive.png Means that 429.png can very easily dodge your rocketgrab.png, and can also kite you easily.

rocketgrab.png for 89.png is just another leonazenithblade.png for 89.png to use, so use caution when hooking 89.png.

Since16.png is so squishy, landing rocketgrab.png normally means 16.png's death. A smart 16.png will play really far back, so if you cannot do anything in lane, roam as 16.png's roams are terrible.

Thresh

Medium

Although you both have rocketgrab.png and threshQ.png, Thresh provides more escapability and CC. A good 412.png will just threshQ.png your AD if you rocketgrab.png theirs, and threshW.png their AD to safety.

Zyra

Easy

Since 143.png is so squishy, landing rocketgrab.png normally means 143.png's death.
