Summoner Spells Back to Top

Normal summoner spells for an abnormal jungler. Yea, you take smite, why wouldn't you?

You are a squishy jungler. Flash is your second best friend. Your first? FIRE!

Masteries Back to Top

It could be argued to go into the resolve tree, however you need a lot of damage to get through jungling on such a squishy champion.

Good rule of thumb, anything that gives you mana is the best you can get!

For the jungle, you want as much AOE as you can get, but still have your stun early. You will get all your basic spells, Q W E early, so that you can use your passive to your benefit.

Your passivebrandpassive.png will explode the monster that has 3 stacks of fire debuff on it, and do a % of it's max health as damage. Baron, Elder Dragon, Rift Herald, all get hit for roughly 800-1500 depending on how long the match has gone on for.
Sometimes that is better than smiting, but harder to pull off.

Situational Items

1039.pngHunters Talisman is your go to starter for the jungle. You will be so soft at level 1, that even with a good leash, you're still going to be chugging potions quickly. To prevent that from happening, this will help you. Smacking the jungle mobs gives you free HP back. I often find myself passing by birds on my way to red, smacking them just to regen HP for free. Do not overlook the amazingness of this item!

On your first back, you will want to upgrade your jungle item to the blue buff for it's smite on enemy champions ability, anything early to help slow them down is amazing when you're about to stun them in 1/2 a second. You also want to pick up boots, as mobility is key to brand, allowing you to chase them down and keep them CC'd. Remember to be patient, your burn lasts a while and you don't need to hit that Q immediately. Let them putz around, get a feel for where they're going and then hit 'em when it counts.

PROTIP: Aim for their characters feet, that is where the hit box is!

End game items will revolve around the standard "slow 'em and mow 'em down" core. You have your runic echo's for move speed, your magic pen boots for added damage, your Rylai's to slow them and control them, and your liandry to continue along Brand's theme of Burning them to death.

End game, you have options.
Deathcap - Did you get 2 Infernal Dragons? Cool, get even more % AP with Deathcap.
Void Staff - Are you an AP heavy team and they have tons of Magic Resist? Great investment!
Hourglass - Are you the center of the stage? The focus of attention? Paparazzi always have you in their sights? Take this to kill a little time while your team kills them off.
Morelonomicon - Totally situational. If you're doing fine, but feel you wanna sling spells a little faster, or help against those Swain and Vlad guys, then this is your item!

VS

Amumu

Medium

Amumu is very easy early game, but if he builds magelike for midgame, he can burst you down quickly.

If you can outposition, and when he engages your team and ults, you can counter that with your Pillar of Flame and Pyroclasm to deal massive damage and punish him for engaging.

VS

Evelynn

Easy

Eve is very squishy, and if you understand what she's going to try to do to you, it's a very easy counter.

Level 2, she's going to come invade your blue or your red, depending where you start. You will have your stun by then. Be prepared to stun her, and make sure you kite her, to where SHE is taking the hits from the jungle monster, not you.

End game, she will either be tanky and obsolete, or going for that ultimate "I slow you to death" build, but you have slows and stuns, so you will win.

VS

Fiddlesticks

Medium

Fiddle has more CC than you, but if used at the correct time, you can easily interrupt his drain and cause him to lose the exchange.

His ultimate is terrifying, and you don't want anything to do with it. Hourglass comes in handy here!

VS

Fizz

Hard

Fizz is a monster, in the jungle or out of it. With all of his dashes, and ability to burst down squishy targets, he is your bane. Ban him if you can, otherwise be extremely patient and try not to engage him 1v1. Playful trickster will screw you every time.

VS

Gragas

Medium

Grag is bad early levels against you, your burns and stuns can seriously chunk him. But once he starts eating that ramen and drinking down that booze, he gets real fat, real fast, and starts to become increasingly difficult to kill.

About Me Back to Top

I have been playing League since Season 2 or 3, didn't really get into Ranked until Season 4, and got to Plat I with Fiddlesticks in the Jungle or in Middle.

This season, I have been playing a lot of Xin Zhao, and Master Yi. But after Xin's nerf, and Yi just being too squishy for my tastes, I decided to start trying new things.

This was not one I tried intentionally.

How did Brand Jungle come about?
I was playing a ranked game, and was going to jungle, and our support wanted me to pick him brand since I had First Pick. I get brand, I tell him what champion I want and all goes smoothly. Until it comes time to trade champions, and we notice that the moron does not even own Brand... So I quickly throw on my AP sets, and I jungle brand. I did spectacularly well, I loved his ability for control and for damage. So I started tweaking my strategy. It is still far from perfect as it is an uncommon squishy mage jungling.
