Summoner Spells Back to Top

This is standard for adcs for a reason it gives you an excape and some extra health when they attack you.

New Runes Back to Top

Masteries Back to Top

This is what I like, gives you good sustain and damage. Your e triggers thunderlords almost instantly so that's pretty good.

corkipassive.png His passive has two parts half your autoattack damage is magic. So you benefit even more from magic pen and most people have less mr than armor so you'll do more damage. Then you have your package. This does a lot of damage, and puts you in the middle of a fight so be careful with it. Make sure your team knows you're going in so they can follow up. You also get to use your w again right after going in so that's pretty cool. It has a time limit so don't waste it.

undefined.png His Q is his main source of damage. Max this first. Use it to poke the enemy champs more than the minions as it has a high mana cost but otherwise it's a pretty basic spell. Can also be used to check bushes for champs.

undefined.png His W is your escape or sometimes engage tool. Mostly use it to escape but if there is a kill you can go for do it. Basically forget that this does damage at all since it does barely any unless you have your package then it does a good bit. But mostly it's a dash. It can go over walls so that's pretty cool.

undefined.png His e does a great amount of armor and mr shred. And it almost instantly gets off thunderlords on enemy champs. Use this whenever you're hitting champs and in teamfights. It does point forward so where you are heading matters a lot. It also helps a lot with super minions as they have -30 mr and this can bring that down to -50 so you and anyone else doing magic basically do 50% increased damage to them without even taking pen into account. Pretty cool!

undefined.png His R is different than most people's as it's not gamebreaking but it boosts your damage consistently instead of all at once. You get a lot of shots and every 3rd is a big one. Use this pretty liberally as it only costs 20 mana. It scales pretty well into late game.

Also with all of his abilities as your first buy is sheen and then Triforce make sure to throw out autoattacks between each spell cast to maximixe your damage. If you miss one nbd but make sure you auto!

Starting Items

    Good solid start for him.
I wouldn't start this because you lose the health, but if you get forced back with 450 it does help your early game sustain and scale into the mid game.

Core Items

These are your most important items! Get sheen asap and then triforce the ad part before the attack speed part. And get sorcerer shoes whenever works. Once you have triforce and sorc boots you are at your highest power relative to everyone else (especially if you have package). So make sure you pick up some kills at this point in the game or the other adc will probably outscale you. The game isn't necessarily over if you don't (never give up that's the quickest way to lose games) but it's important to know your power spikes and play around them.
I like these two as they ad the crits for corki. he doesn't attack a ton but his ad scalings are good and his crits are half magic so that's pretty cool! Essence helps your mana sustain and Infinity makes your crits really hurt.
This one is good after you get the other crit items.
This can be good for sustain / damage
This one is good for damage and sustain but mostly for freeing yourself from hard cc. Get QSS first and then finish the item after. And don't get it if hard cc isn't an issue, get Bloodthirster instead.
This is good against a lot of magic or magic burst people. Keeps you alive.
So this is in the recommended for corki and I almost never build it. But if you do it should be built last. And if the enemy is stacking mr and you need to get through it. It does give you ap but most of your abilities scale off of that so you're good. Not perfect but if they are stacking mr it can be necessary.

When to pick corki?? Back to Top

So maybe you're like me you play a lot of solo queue, and your team locks in a kha jung, a darius top and a zed mid. Welp that's all ad they're going to stack armor and we will all be useless. GJ guys! I'm the adc who can I pick to bring magic damage?!?! Well that's why I picked up corki. About 75% of his damage is magic damage (all of his abilities and half of his autos). If your team picks that all ad comp, that's when you go for corki. So when the enemy team builds armor (and if you're at the silver or below elo like me they prob will not know corki is magic and stack armor anyway) you do magic damage and go through them like nothing. An enemy malphite that has 500+ armor and 50 mr is still going to be shredded by a corki.

The other advantage of being magic is just the way league works is that people have lower base mr and mr scalings (and sometimes no mr scaling) than they do armor. So by doing half your damage as magic your damage goes up.

Other than the magic damage he also brings a lot more engage than most adcs do. He works well into a team comp with some aoe cc or something so he can ult through the enemy team and then someone else gets them to stand in it for a while and actually take all of that damage.
