Summoner Spells Back to Top

The best soloque Spells are:
4.png/3.pngcombined with 12.png

Lets talk about the difference between summoner spells. Flash and Exhaust can be both used for offensive usage and defensive usage. Meaning you can have multiple uses for 1 summoner spells so it would be 50% more effecient then for example ignite (witch only can be used for offensive use).

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pros of Flash:
  • Can be used to get over walls.
  • Can be used to last hit kills.
  • Can be used defensively to gain distance between the attacker and yourself.
  • Can be used as a gapcloser to initiate fights.

Cons of Flash:

  • Has a high cooldown.
  • You can "Fail" flash.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As you can see there are alot of uses with flash. Now I will explain the pros and cons about exhaust

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pros of Exhaust:

  • Slowing the enemy from fleeing away.
  • Reducing the damage dealt of the attacker while they are doing an "all-in".
  • Element of suprise with their damage dealt.
  • Reducing their armor and magic resist for the duration.
  • Lowish cooldown (Same as Ghost).
  • Marking enemy's while initiating the fight.

Cos of Exhaust:

  • No instant gapclosing.
  • Not dealing any direct damage.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As you can see there are alot of things to capture here. I hope you can also see why flash is a more risky summoner spell to use with. But I cannot say this enough: ITS ALWAYS PERSONAL PREFFERENCE WHAT YOU CHOOSE.

Masteries Back to Top

You can have different mastery setups:

  • Grasp of the Undieing Setup
  • Bond of Stone Setup
  • Deathfire Torch Setup

Grasp of the Undieing Setup:

Just the usual setup for most Dr.Mundo's. Gives you basicly a heal withing 4 seconds in combat.

Bond of Stone Setup:

This is when you want to soak up damage for your team in teamfights.

Deathfire Torch Setup:

This is when you want to add a bit of damage when trading with your cleaver + burning agony. Remember it deals more damage when you have your E ability on (Scales with bonus AD).

My personal experience with Dr.Mundo that maxing W second just doesnt helps you much. The CC reduction is nice but if you are getting CCed you are lost anyway. I find maxing E second reduces the CD of that ability and giving more damage lategame (190 AD at low health and 4 second cooldown max rank).

You can always max W second if you find yourself getting behind or dont like maxing E second.

Introduction Back to Top

36.png36.png36.png36.png36.png36.png36.png36.png36.png36.png36.png
Hello, I am Wodian but call me BornToBeAlive! Im 25 years old and playing league of legends since late season 2.
From the beginning at league I played mordekaiser (Hue Hue) and the second champion I mained was Dr Mundo.
Since then I've obtained skin after skin for Dr Mundo because I had great succes with him. From season 2 till Season 7 many things have changed.

sadism.pngsadism.pngsadism.pngsadism.pngsadism.pngsadism.pngsadism.pngsadism.pngsadism.pngsadism.pngsadism.png

During this time I've read alot of Mundo guides out there but they all dint really fit my playstyle. My playstyle empowers of beeing the mega hulk man that never dies in teamfights and regenerates huge amounts of health during those fights. When I saw a guide on Mobafire from Fuggernaut I saw an oppertunity for mundo beeing that health bomb but his build had some flaws in it. Thats why I changed it here and there and still rocking it out.

masochism.pngmasochism.pngmasochism.pngmasochism.pngmasochism.pngmasochism.pngmasochism.pngmasochism.pngmasochism.pngmasochism.pngmasochism.png

But I still feel that Ignite destroys the "Mundo Feeling" gameplay wise. But with the season 4 teleport buff it is way more satisfying to play Dr Mundo. What I've seen the most common description of Dr Mundo that he is stated as a pure tank (Because of his high base damages). This is totally false. He is a bruiser tank period. He is there for dealing as long as possible damage per second to the enemy team. And ofcourse peeling for carry's and personal body guard.

burningagony.pngburningagony.pngburningagony.pngburningagony.pngburningagony.pngburningagony.pngburningagony.pngburningagony.pngburningagony.pngburningagony.pngburningagony.png

I hope you enjoy my guide!

Goes Where He Pleases? Back to Top

Pro's:

  • Very Very Very Tanky.
  • As much sticking power as glue.
  • Highest meatshield and Healthbuffer in the game.
  • High base damage's.
  • Best natural sustain in the game.
  • Cleaver has low cooldown.
  • Has no irritating mana.
  • Deals % Health damage.
  • More powerfull at lowish health (Can be a downside).
  • Has the best ultimate skin (Corporate Mundo).

Cons:

  • Healing reduction will kill you from early to midgame.
  • Burning agony's health cost at max rank is ridicoulus (150hp/5).
  • When CC'ed or silenced mundo can get squissy (because 4 or 5 man are focussing you).
  • Needs alot of patience with farming & sustaining.
  • Eats alot of salt when building this way (Get a bottle of water next to your pc).

Otherwise there is none!

Early to Midgame Back to Top

So you took your 1074_32.png2003_32.png and 3340_32.png. Here are some options you can do:

  • Invade with your team (If they want).
  • Place your ward near a blue or redbuff (depends what side).
  • Go and help leashing your jungler (also depends on what side).
Next up is farming your core items: 3065.png or 3143.png

Midgame to Lategame Back to Top

Mid to lategame is where Mundo shines. If you got your core setup ready: 3065.png3143.png3083.png then you can really tank your way to victory.

Synergies & Counters Back to Top

With synergies I mean Jungle - Mid Compositions. Botlane has its own synergy aside that you must peel for your marksman. I scale from 1 to 5 of the best junglers (1 as the best synergy).

Junglers:

1.77_64.png

Have you ever seen Trick2G? This guy is absolute monster when played correctly. Combined with the terror that Dr Mundo brings. The enemy team will cry in a corner while they are getting slaughtered by these 2.

2.19_64.png

In teamfights you both have monster sustain. This guy can increase attack speed while initiating with his ultimate. You can directly follow up because the target is snared. Great lockup combination.

3.113_64.png

I havent met that much sejuani players but when I did I've had the most easy time catching targets. She also deals AoE % Health damage (with her current rework) so your team DPS is going true the roof with her.

4.64_64.png

I've seen alot of Leesin's these days but the only thing I can say is that he is high risk and high reward, nothing more. I've seen 30% of my leesin games that they also going tank. That is a huge downfall if they do because of their execute (Second Q cast) wont be as easy to kill if they dont build damage.

5.59_64.png

Jarvan's populairity with the LCS week 1 from season 5 have shown that he isnt forgotten. The the gnarvan combination is very populair now and I can see why but for mundo it only means a jail or a slaughter house. So it will be 50/50 with this guy. Has a nice knockup though and is decent tanky but I really dont like beeing caged while playing mundo.

Midlaners:

1.61_64.png

Her "ball hopping" makes your engage and disengage way better. Also her ultimate gives that extra bit of utility + damage on top of your damage. This is a really good combo.

2.103_64.png

Ahri can quickly dash behind you or charm an enemy thats trying to flee. Handy if your cleaver missed or just out of range. Doesnt has any utility beside her charm.

3.126_64.png

I've met alot of Jayces. His utilty is very team based and can safely deal damage behind you. His gates are incredible combined with your ultimate. Make sure you will keep an eye out for him during fights.

4.50_64.png

Swain is almost just like yourself. A super regenerating giant that deals alot of dps and has a AoE root ability for you to catch people. The enemy team should ignite you or him so its always a great benefit for you. A great combo for teamfighting.

5.99_64.png

Lux can also bind people and her burst makes her very powerfull. She is however very vulnerable to all-in champions. Thats why she is number 5.
