Summoner Spells Back to Top

4.png: This summoner spell is just so important to have, if you get into a sticky situation you can flash away and most importantly you can flash to secure kills :) Flash is just simply put the best summoner spell in the game.

7.png: And heal is a must have on ADC that plays bot-lane! It´s great for baiting you enemy when your at low hp, and it will give you 30% movement speed for 1 sec which can allow you to make a quick escape as it synergies  very well with 119.png W.

Masteries Back to Top

Let´s talk a bit about masteries and why i choose these.  


Ferocity Tree:

fury.png: With the rune page that we are running we are lacking a bit of attack speed which can make our attack animation slow and dull, and we really don´t make use for enhanced ability damage.

double-edged-sword.png: Ever since they changed this mastery it has been so useful for ranged champions. And you will have plenty enough of sustain with  warlords-bloodlust.png so you really don´t need to pick Feast.

vampirism.png: This mastery is just amazing on 119.png since he uses life steal so well, and even though Natural Talent gives ad it also ap which Draven makes no use for since he doesn´t have any ap scaling in his abilities. 
 
bounty-hunter.png: Believe in yourself that you can get that 5% extra dmg, it´s just so good if you manage to get it. This rune slot is up to preference though, oppressor is this pretty good since you have a slow on your E but no remotely as good as Bounty Hunter in my opinion.

 battering-blows.png: This one is self-explanatory i think, you only deal Attack Damage so you will need only armor pen and not any magic pen. 

 warlords-bloodlust.png: The best keystone for 119.png hands down! After multiple nerfs to fervor there is no reason not to take warlords.  

Cunning Tree:

savagery.png: Easier time farming with this and i find out of combat movement to be rather useless compared to more damage to minions.

1455207599-weapon-expertise-mastery-s2.p: Now here is where it can get debatable. In my opinion Assassin is the obvious choice for a 119.png since he is an amazing split pusher and have great 1v2 potential and most of the time i get 2031.png  so the biscuits won´t even help.


 merciless.png: Just an over-all great mastery, i mean more dmg is always good right. 


dangerous-game.png: This is the obvious choice over meditation! since every kill gives % hp and mana back it can help you surive for example and  14.png after a 1v1.

Always start Q and max it first, it is Dravens main source of dmg and it is critical for your dmg-output to be able to catch axes. 

• Passive : League of Draven

As you probably guessed, you have to focus on stacking your passive, especially during early game where consuming your stacks is way more important than consuming them at 20 or 30 minutes. Catching an axe is even better now, as you can have 2 bonus stacks from killing 6 minions in a row without dropping one. To realize how strong this passive is, let’s do an easy calculation : if you manage to get a kill with 125 stacks (you can get them before minute 10), you will earn 125x2+50, that is to say 300 bonus gold, which is the equivalent of an entire kill.


• Q : Spinning Axe

This is the main ability of Draven, that makes him what he is and defines his uniqueness, and as we go along we get used to his gameplay that is very different from other adc's. It is your main ability and damage source from early to late game so we have to max it first. Your goal will be to juggle with two Axe to outdamage your opponents as much as possible in lane but without putting yourself in danger (be careful : enemies can see where they drop and could land their skillshots there).

• W : Blood Rush

This spell has a 12-second-cooldown and costs 40 mana at each rank. Catching up Axes is in fact really important. Dropping them would mean you lose a lot of damage from your auto attacks, and you won't have the possibility to refresh your Blood Rush (hence no movement speed boost, nor attack speed bonus).

• E : Stand Aside

This is Draven's utility ability. Just like most of adc's, he has one and I personally think it is one the best among all adc's utility abilities.

• R : Whirling Death

Like Ezreal's Trueshot barrage, every unit touched will decrease your Ultimates damage. However, the damage reduction is reset upon reaching its max range or touching an enemy champion (unlike Sivir´s W), and this is why it is so devastating if you manage to touch their backline in teamfights, you can easily take out 40 or 50% of their hp (especially with armor penetration runes and Yomuus Ghostblade).

Starting Items

    Best starter item by far.
    Rush this
    If you are going to buy more than 3 potions for lane this is more gold efficient

Core Items

    This is the "classic" Tyler1 build which i find to be most effective.
    This is a popular Korean build used by the best Draven on the Korean server! i only use this if i get extremely fed or the enemy team has no CC

Situational Items

    Believe it or not this is actually a good item on draven since you can have great dmg output with only 5 dmg items! so vs a fed Rengar or Zed this is great! (epic golden pose)
    Great if they a heavy self healer (Dr.mundo, Swain, Vladimir etc.)
    Great item on Draven, i usually sell boots for this in late game when i have full build.
    Also a great items vs bursty mages that are fed.
    Another means of surviving vs assassins is this. It help a lot vs ad assassins but vs ap assassins i would prompt for Maw

Advantages :


• Huge power spike once 3142.png is completed, you should win every 2vs2's by now.

• Strong mid game thanks to the armor penetration runes and attack damage from 3142.png & 3036.png.

• And also strong late game thanks to 3046.png & 3031.pngand the attack speed steroids from 3142.pngand undefined.png.

Drawbacks :


• More squishy throughout the whole game since you don't have  3072.pngshield.

• A bit weaker in duels and sensitive to high burst due to the low amount of lifesteal.

• You are a bit weaker when 3142.pngs active is on cooldown, you better think twice before using it.
