Keystones:


Thunderlord's decree is probably the best keystone for Ekko, works really well with his passive for the extra damage.

Stormraider's surge is not need useful the MS boost from passive is already enough to escape pretty easily.

Deathfire Touch, never really tried it but it could possibly be good but if you're constantly throwing Q's then it'll shove the wave leaving you open to ganks.

Ekko's Zero-Drive charges his spells and attacks with temporal energy. The third hit deals bonus damage and saps the target's movement speed. If the target is a champion, Ekko gains accelerated movement speed.

Ekko throws a device that deals 60/75/90/105/120 (+0.1*AP) magic damage to enemies it passes through. It expands into a slowing field on the first champion hit, slowing everything inside by 32/39/46/53/60%. It then returns to him after a delay, dealing 60/85/110/135/160 (+0.6*AP) magic damage to all targets hit upon return.

Passive: Ekko's basic attacks deal bonus magic damage to enemies under 30% health equal to 5% (+0.018*AP%) of their missing health (max 150 damage vs. minions and monsters). Active: After a 3 second delay, Ekko creates a short-lived chronosphere at the target location that slows enemies who enter by 40%. If Ekko enters the sphere, he will detonate it, gaining a shield that absorbs up to 80/100/120/140/160 (+1.5*AP) damage for 2 seconds. Enemies caught inside are stunned for 2.25 seconds.

Ekko dashes a short distance in the targeted direction. His next attack will deal 50/80/110/140/170 (+0.2*AP) bonus magic damage and teleport him to his target.

Situational Items

    Went down Hourglass first path and need last 6th item?
    This is okay first sometimes when playing against burst champs and are playing safe in lane.
    Not a fan of this item at all! Too expensive and stats aren't that great.

3001.png Abyssal Scepter first is a great item to build first against ap champs, gives survivability, nice amount of ap and a really early game item passive.

3157.png Zhonya's is really good against AD champs in the mid lane, stops assassins and synergies really well with ult.

3089.png If you want to be a straight savage then you can build this first or second depending on how far ahead you are.

3027.png- This is really good some team comps, depending on need some survivability. I would build this if i get behind in lane and need to play safe for mid game and scale.

3165.png- Ekko has somewhat pretty decentlly high cd's and spamming Q's can really use up a lot of mana so this gives ekko everything he needs in the mid game.

3100.png- Really good item, it has CDR, %Ms boost, really good item that synergizes well with E for that really nice extra burst.

3135.png If they have 2 more or people stacking MR then build this.

3285.png- Provides a lot of ap and %MS boost that works really well with passive to get out of sticky situations or kite. Combined with lich bane you'll be a speed demon 

3174.png- dont bother

Azir can be really annoying with his azirQ.pngazirW.png poke and the damage can add up really fast. I like to trade just as soon as he uses Q as that leaves him vunerable for a couple of seconds. If you can catch him in your W it's an easy kill.

Diana

Medium

She's melee so it makes the match up more easier for you to get passive proc's off and escape. She has no escape early game so pressuring her with your W early game is beneficial. If you plan on all-ining her then wait out her dianaW.png

Kassadin

Easy

Trade when he doesn't have his nulllance.png up, your passive is good early game when he tries to chase you down with his ult. However hitting W can be really hard and you need to predict where he would be at. If he get's the catch on you, you're dead.

Katarina

Hard

I hate katarina with a passion, her Q poke is annoying and very consistent. Your W does nothing to stop her ult because by the time W lands she's already done ulting. Farm and try to keep her in lane to avoid from roaming

His talonrake.png can easily be predicted and dodged with E, Talon's generally use their talonrake.png to poke when you go to Cs. If he jumps on you he has no escape or other abilities to get him out so hit him with everything. If you can catch him W you can easily get 2 passive procs off. Getting Zhonya's and ult makes the lane even easier as his damage can be negated with zhonya's or ult.

VS

Twisted Fate

Easy

Wait out for him to waste his gold card and look to trade, Your passive proc leaves him slow enough to be ganked if jungler is around.

Early Game Back to Top

Early game you want to look to trade pretty frequently as your damage output is pretty high. You want to play around the enemies cd's. ward river and watch for your opponents movement, if they've been playing pretty passive and get aggressive out of nowhere chances are you're getting ganked. Throw down W in the path that'd you be running in for possibility the slow and or the stun. Post 6 you can either look to pressure your laner or roam. If you decide to pressure laner make sure it's after you back and get some items. you can dive and use ult as a saving grace but don't depend on it too much. If you decide to roam, shove lane out and go gank with jungler if he's about to gank or go bottom lane. Your ult is incredibly good for dives.

Mid game Back to Top

Mid game you should be grouping for objectives. To gain an advantage when trying to get an objective is to wait in their jungle and catch someone out to make it 4v5 and group for towers. When sieging towers stand by the caster minions and toss W where most of they are at and act like you're going in 9 times out of 10 they end up running away resulting in a free tower. Try to force dragons every time they're up as the movement speed bonus is really nice. 

Late game Back to Top

Late game is when ekko shines the most as the deals incredibly nice damage. You want to find a way to the adc either that be looping around the whole team and jumping on him. You can also go in with W and try to stun most of their team allowing you to run past everybody to their back line. If you are getting chased by 3 or so people you can easily get a triple kill with ult, if they are grouped in your ult shadow you can toss your Q-W and ult in for massive AOE damage.I typically like to engage when both teams are dancing around waiting for something to happen when I see their carry open I go with W-E- Q and zhonyas and see where the team fight evolves into. A whole combo + ignite is enough to always kill their carry in one cycle of spells.
