Summoner Spells Back to Top

Heal + Flash about 100% of the time, for obvious reasons. The option is there to have your support take Heal and you take Exhaust against someone who can 100-0 you, but it's rarely necessary and harder to pull off

Fervor > Thunderlords. I see both keystones on Ezreal and while Thunderlords is okay, your spells let you stack Fervor disgustingly fast and the bonus physical damage will apply to your Qs.

Pretty self-explanatory, R > Q > E > W


ezrealpassive.png It's easy to forget about, but your passive provides massive attack speed during fights. Ezreals spam Qs at the enemy team; good Ezreals safely weave autos between every spell cast. You're the AD carry, so remember that your job is to provide high, consistent damage.

ezrealmysticshot.png Q is obviously your main damage spell. Low cooldown, high damage, easily procs Spellblade, and makes your range huge.

ezrealessenceflux.png W is useless for damage beyond early game, but can be used for quick Fervor and passive stacks as well as Spellblade procs.

ezrealarcaneshift.png E makes you one of the safest marksmen in the game. Good rule of thumb to survive is don't E towards the enemy, but of course the spell can be used offensively when needed.

ezrealtrueshotbarrage.png R does crazy damage, a well played level 6 can translate into a kill because you typically haven't dipped in power quite yet compared to other marksmen at that point. Don't be afraid of missing ults during the game - hitting Qs means its cooldown can be reduced significantly.

Starting Items

Core Items

    Tear as early as it's safe to get it
    Farm your way towards these items while stacking
    If you back early enough, cull is a good pick up
    Early CDR boots can help stack quickly as well, but aren't absolutely necessary til after core

Situational Items

    Atk Spd + Lifesteal
    Lifesteal
    Defensive vs Burst

Start Doran's + 1 pot, for obvious reasons. 


When backing for Tear, it's good to make sure you've got the lane shoved as hard as you can. If you can match your back with the enemy's by killing them or just backing when they do, you shouldn't miss any creeps. Depending on how much gold you have, you have a few options along with your Tear. If it's still very early, Cull is great for an even stronger spike come mid game. I generally prefer to have Pickaxe over Sheen when choosing between the two because Pickaxe gives you more consistent damage for last hitting, but Sheen isn't a bad choice. You can sit on a Glacial Shroud if you like because the CDR and mana is nice, but I like to have a damage item to farm easier.

Ezreal's build beyond his core is incredibly versatile
 - Mercurial Scimitar is great against dangerous CC and provides lifesteal + MR
 - Maw of Malmortius if you need to survive heavy magic damage
 - It can be helpful to grab an early LW for some armor pen and then wait to upgrade it. Lord Dominik's is generally better as the Mortal Reminder passive is only really strong against a few specific champions.
 - Blade of the Ruined King definitely isn't as strong as before at shredding tanks, but the combination of stats is great and it provides most of your attack speed in combination with your passive
 - Bloodthirster is a rarer pickup, but you definitely feel the heavy lifesteal on your high damage Qs

Because your build isn't the typical AD + AS + Crit combination, defensive items don't hit your item synergy as hard
 - Sterak's Gage is fantastic against burst and provides you with some damage
 - Maw of Malmortius helps against magic burst and gives decent MR
 - Guardian Angel is good for later in the game, but be sure to sell it when it's on cooldown if you can afford other items
