Summoner Spells Back to Top

You will be taking 4.png12.png 99% of the games, Flash is kinda self-explanatory and 12.png to not lose that much farm early-game. If you are splitpushing in mid/late game 12.png will ensure you´re not just that R button in teamfights.

Only take6.png if you´re facing2.png  or 23.pngbecause these motherfuckers  run 6.png pretty much every game and can save your ass in skirmishes.

If you are going mid exhaust can be pretty good too. Personally I prefer being in lane for as much time as I can and Teleport allows me to do exactly that

Masteries Back to Top

FEROCITY TREE
  • Sorcery: more damage on your abilities, much better than 5% attack speed which is a wasted stat
  • Feast: your laning phase can´t be worse. Don´t push it further receiving 1.5% extra damage for no reason. 20HP per creep wave helps reaching that first back Sheen without commiting seppuku
  • Natural Talent: a little bit more AD for the early game, also some AP for oranges, overall better than 2% Life Steal
  • Bounty Hunter: Double Edged Sword helps your opponent more often than you in early trades, so I opt for the safer option
CUNNING TREE

  • Savagery: the difference between lasthitting that minion or missing it, and you DON´T want to miss a single CS, so take this.
  • Secret Stash: more sustain for your garbage lane. Trust me, it helps. You can still run Assasin if you want
  • Meditation: I feel like I need that extra mana regen after the orange nerf, so I highly reccomend running it
  • Bandit: Parrrleying your enemy laner gives you money. Exceptionally good paired with Grasp, but by itself it is great on GP.
  • Intelligence: 5% CDR is slightly better IMO, but you can take Precission if you want,
  • Thunderlord´s Decree (Keystone): Stormraider´s would stack withgangplankpassive.png3078.pngand3142.png, and Windspeaker´s literally has nothing to do with a vengeful seaman, so better get that extra bit of burst. Also it procs really easy with your cannonbarrage.png

You can also go 12/0/18 (Grasp of the Undying) in certain top matchups which I will detail in the matchup section

R>Q>E>W, nothing new to see here.

Leveling W at level 2 helps a lot vs Irelia so you can cleanse her E stun.

Remember that at level 7 and 13 the decay rate of the barrels goes down (1 and 0.5 seconds, respectively).

Against lanes that do not have hard CC or do not trade early on (and if you are in a position where you won´t get ganked e.g the creeps are in your side of the river) you can get a second point in Q, but generally it is correct to skill W.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

This is the start that will provide you more mana over the course of the laning phase. and +14hp per orange is cool, too
You can also start Mana Crystal with either refillable or 3 pots. This is really good in lanes where you want to dodge the early game and rush a fast Sheen

Core Items

Triforce first, no matter what (maybe boots after Sheen but that´s personal prefference). Unless you really need Phage you want Stinger after Sheen for that 20% additional CDR. The boots depend on the enemy team comp and your second item too (you won´t build both Yoummus and Lucidities unless you don´t have CDR on runes)
Infinity Edge first starts your transition towards late game with crit chance. After that you generally want Shiv for the 50% crit chance but if you need it you can prioritize your Last Whisper item (remember it applies on bonus armor so if they are 5 squishies it´s a waste of gold). You can switch your boots with Phantom Dancer after full build, and ifb you are really confident on your barrel mechanics you can sell your second item for Essence Reaver and obliterate masses with guaranteed 1.3k damage kegs

Situational Items

Each one of these can be your second item. Entirely dependant on your playstyle but more importantly how is the enemy doing. Say their Syndra is fed and they have a magic damage junler then Maw is an excelent buy . Duskblade or Youmuus are best suited to snowball early. Edge of Night can work if you are ahead and look for picks but the item is pretty bad atm. Steraks fulfills the same niche as Maw but with a shield that also prevents physical damage. I don´t like Infinity Edge second but it can work.

In your first back you can pick up a Cull if you hace 450 Gold left AFTER YOUR SHEEN (your priority is Sheen over everything else).

The only matchups where I could consider Phage before Stinger are Darius, Fiora, Riven, Garen and probably Jax. I value CDR on Gangplank way too much

VS

Aatrox

Medium

I literally haven´t laned against Aatrox since his rework, well actually once but I was on Poppy. You have to be aware of his Blood Well because he will play around it for trades. Q. E, and W in damage toggle all give 20% of his well. Avoid trades, play a farm lane and you should be gucci. I´d start Mana Crystal in this lane for the fast Trinity Force and force him to use his skills for waveclear. Grasp or Thunderlords are both good

VS

Akali

Hard

Farm all you can before level 6, once Akali getsakalishadowdance.png and 3145.png you can´t do anything but making plays withcannonbarrage.png. Luckily for you almost no one plays84.png

VS

Azir

Medium

The only thing Azir isn´t useless is at laning against Gangplank. azirW.png autos can target your Kegs so he can disarm them from 1k range. Luckily his damage has been crippled so it isn´t as bad as it used to be.

However Rilays is a gigantic powerspike for him. I don´t recommend all-inning him if he already has that item. As this is a midlane matchup, go standard 12/18/0 in this lane. TP or Exhaust are prefference but I´d stick with TP because you will be going to base a LOT vs this guy

VS

Cho'Gath

Medium

Skill matchup, be very aware of his rupture.png positioning andremovescurvy.png hisferalscream.pngbefore you get eaten. Hard to poke him out of lane so just farm and outscale the lil´bug. Grasp gives you no meaningful advantage in here so do Thunderlords. Doran´s Ring is better as starting because you will have to contest his early push withgangplankqwrapper.png spam, and eating an occasional orange. Double Dorans completely turns this into a farm lane

VS

Darius

Medium

Take it as a hard matchup if you don´t have that much experience with GP. Always have a raisemorale.pngnear you (generally at your caster minions) and removescurvy.png hisdariusnoxiantacticsonh.pngslow. Consider saving your cannonbarrage.png to avoid dunks and snowball him.
This is a matchup where I don´t mind falling 10 cs down as long as I don´t die, that´s the biggest mistake you can make. Because you have just the range to be outside of his hook range you should never greed and close the gap or you will get punished if the enemy Darius has a minimal idea of what he´s doing.

Mana Crystal is a better start in here, you can run Grasp in here but that implies getting close to E range, so imo it´s better to do Thunderlords

VS

Dr. Mundo

Medium

Farm lane until level 6, be sure to not waste raisemorale.png because he can all in you really easily when he getssadism.png. Just keep farming and consider upgrading Raise Morale second if your teammates have troubles kiting Mundo.

Grasp could be good if he didn´t start Doran´s Shield, so better go for the lil lightning and try to proc it on trades

VS

Fiora

Hard

Really fun lane to play. Take Grasp of the Undying or else it becomes a really hard champ to deal with. She will save her fiorariposte.png for your barrels so just auto them and then use parley.png on her. Let Fiora get the lane control after 6 or you are dead. Seriously. She can and will punish the slightest overextension. Duels are really close when you are level 13 and you have Ghostblade, else don´t try it.

I rate this as hard if you haven´t played this lane at least 15 times, but once you get the idea it´s not that bad. Level 1 is where you have to make the difference with Q harass before her level 2. Obviously try to not give her free vitals because that´s free sustain for her. Exhaust is reaaaaally good in this matchup so you should take it

VS

Fizz

Hard

This tiny bastard will always trollpole your barrels and then trade non-stop. Be really aware of fizzmarinerdoom.png and not feeding him kills , WAIT FOR JUNGLE GANKS.

Top lane this matchup is even worse because even tho his damage is not completely ridiculous he still beats you and goes tanky, luckily Fizz is a permaban as of the day I´m writing this

VS

Galio

Medium

Having laned only once against this new Galio the only thing I know about this guy is that he trades really well in lane. Try to not stand literally under your kegs because of his E, which will knock you up and give him time for defusing it and thus winning the trade. Standard 12/18/0 are once again the ideal masteries

VS

Gangplank

Easy

Both eat oranges, both are K. Get out of blind pick and play this boy for the LP

VS

Garen

Easy

Have barrels close to you to slow him after he activatesgarenslash3.png. Farm non-stop and careful if you are the Villain. If he, for some reason, silences you, you just press W and hit a barrel but if not he hurts a lot. Thunderlords is by a little margin the best keystone for this lane, even tho Grasp is good if you are confident enough that you can bully him pre 6.

VS

Gnar

Medium

Depending on who is playing Gnar it can go from Easy to Hard. As he is mini harass him with parley.png, he has really low HP regen. Place barrels in bushes and chain them from there. Save your removescurvy.png for his gnarR.png
As soon as he finishes Frozen Mallet you´re pretty much donezo if he catches you as Mini Gnar. Use barrel chains to scrap CS and consider grouping early. Thunderlords is better because you don´t want to be in the enemy creep wave just to proc Grasp once because by the time you managed to do it he jumped onto you and is about to be Mega Gnar and win the duel.

VS

Gragas

Hard

Fat man in the top lane has absurd base damage. If he doesn´t go for a full tank build you are at a serious risk of being oneshot (Sheen+Hextech Revolver adds a lot of artificial damage). So try to farm and pray he doesn´t realise that he always has kill potential

VS

Graves

Medium

Luckily no one plays Graves top anymore, but I guarantee you it isn´t that easy for you. Even tho he doesn´t smoke his autos give you almost no chance to contest the Kegs, so hide them in bushes or in the creepwave so the bullets don´t hit the barrel. Luckily for you he has a giant GANK ME sign so with a decent jungler he doesn´t do shit.

VS

Hecarim

Medium

Jungler-dependant matchup, if Hecarim gets early kills you will not be able to lane AT ALL, if you get the gank he will struggle for CS with proper raisemorale.pngzoning. Don´t waste your ult tring to kill him, as hishecarimult.pngcovers like half of yours. In early lane farm mostly with parley.png to avoid the helicopter of doom that is his  hecarimrapidslash.pngspam

VS

Heimerdinger

Hard

Usually you will face a Donger main to make things even worse. Chain barrels for CS, Heimer has stupidly high HP regen so poking him is kinda useless. removescurvy.png his stun and be aware of hisupgrade!!!.png as he can throw you a crapton of missiles or dive you really easily with the tower.

Heimer turrets won´t draw turret aggro unless you´re being hit by the laser attack.

VS

Illaoi

Medium

You should have the mobility and range to be safe and farm. Avoid herillaoiE.pngat all costs and if you become a Vessel remeber to hit 3 tentacles. Kite her as soon as she hits R, and use your removescurvy.pngfor sustain as she doesn´t have hard CC.

VS

Irelia

Medium

Whenever she wants to trade she´ll eat a barrel and one or two passive procs. Only one CC means your removescurvy.pngis going to keep you in form. Don´t extend trades because that is the only way she can beat you

VS

Jarvan IV

Hard

Ludicrous damage in hisjarvanivdragonstrike.pngand a terrifying level 2 all-in makes this lane an absolute nightmare. Dodgejarvanivdragonstrike.pngat all costs and use removescurvy.pngfor sustain. Savecannonbarrage.pngfor hisjarvanivcataclysm.png

VS

Jax

Medium

Pre-6 it´s just farm vs. farm. Level removescurvy.pngat level 2 to avoid anyjaxcounterstrike.pngcheese, then kite with passive. Don´t ever put your first raisemorale.pngnear him, with the auto reset on his jaxempowertwo.png they are dead. And once he hits level 6 stay away from jaxleapstrike.pngrange whenever possible. Add to that the ridiculous powerspike Jax gets from compltting Guinsoo´s and you can screw the lane (and, therefore the game) pretty easily

VS

Jayce

Hard

Really annoying in lane, has both options to poke you with ranged autos and then all in you withjayceQ.png. Play it safe and snowball the map with some goodcannonbarrage.png

VS

Kassadin

Medium

Kassadin will spamnulllance.pngon you whenever he has the chance, and if you place a barrel near him the auto reset on hisnetherblade.pngtakes it down easily. Don´t ever usecannonbarrage.pngto try to kill him because ofriftwalk.png. Save removescurvy.pngfor sustain and consider 2 Doran´s Ring to keep the farm up

VS

Kayle

Hard

Kayle permashoves you withkayleE.png , which makes it difficult to set yourraisemorale.pngin bushes, plus the E-auto is instantaneous, so don´t bother and spam parley.pngon the minion wave. Her kayleR.pngdoesn´t do much against jungle ganks because ofcannonbarrage.png, so consider saving it for snowballing yourself

VS

Kennen

Medium

A bit annoying in lane withkennenshurikenhurlmissile1.pngandkennenbringthelight.png, however the little ninja will never be able to shove you inside your turret, so just cash in Silver Serpents and snowball the map withcannonbarrage.png

VS

Kled

Hard

I played this lane 3 or 4 times but is really punishing. His all-in after level 6 is devastating and can easily one-shot you. Before that you can harass him pretty easily and trade with him as long as his kledW.pngis on cooldown. You can match his ult roams with just pressing your R button and keep pushing

VS

Lissandra

Hard

Lots of hard CC make the decission on when to eat an orange really hard, Thunderlor´s Decree helps Liss´all ins a lot, especially if she goes 3020.png after Morellonomicon. Escapes from ganks with just pressing E and becomes impossible to dive if she self-castslissandraR.png.

VS

Lulu

Hard

The epitome of harass, even her autos do a lot of damage early-game. Add to that the ability to do long rangeluluq.png with lulue.pngto turn your lane into a nightmare. Farm the hell out of your lane and landraisemorale.pngon several targets, she can shield or lulur.pngjust one of her carries

VS

Malphite

Easy

The rock does nothing in lane to prevent you from getting 2 ult upgrades at 20 minutes. Be always aware of his TPs to counter hisufslash.pngwithcannonbarrage.png. Save your removescurvy.pngfor the AS slow on hislandslide.png.If for some reason you initiate a long trade you just have to reset your passive properly to make that Frozen Heart useless

VS

Maokai

Medium

Lots of CC and decent damage in lane make the tree respectable in lane. Poking Mao is useless because of his passive (which takes into account every raisemorale.pngyou place). Consider upgrading Raise Morale second to disengage him without that much trouble

VS

Master Yi

Hard

Solo-lane Yi is hard to deal. Untargetability on hisalphastrike.png makes landing a raisemorale.pnga great amount of effort, and when level 6 arrives, not even your turret is a safe place with the mix of highlander.pngandalphastrike.png AND ALSOmeditate.png. Wait for jungle ganks and target all yourcannonbarrage.pngto mid or bot

VS

Nasus

Easy

You both look for scaling so it should be a really boring lane. Hiswither.pngis useless because ofremovescurvy.pngand you can kite him to hell between passive andraisemorale.png. Be  careful of your barrel placement in order to not give him free siphoningstrikenew.pngstacks. Take Grasp of the Undying to enchance your bully potential

VS

Olaf

Hard

Hard to lane against because ofolafaxethrowcast.png, plus if he lands one he will be looking to land another one and/orolafrecklessstrike.png. Run 6.png and kite inside yourcannonbarrage.png , his kill pressure is inmense witholafragnarok.png. Consider Raise Morale as your second upgrade

VS

Orianna

Medium

Just don´t get auto´d to death and it is going to be a calm battle for who gets the most CS. Once she gets blue she starts to become a bit annoying and later on in the game herorianadetonatecommand.pngis a huge threat, properraisemorale.pngplacement will do the trick in fights

VS

Pantheon

Hard

Get ready to eatpantheon_throw.pngevery 4 seconds and use a lot of your mana trying to get some farm. Just give him the lane without feeding him kills and counter hispantheon_grandskyfall_jump.pngwith a nicecannonbarrage.png

VS

Poppy

Easy

Now that her E and passive ranges are shorter it isn´t as hard as before. Q her for free and always stay at max range or else she will dash at you (with a potential stun depending on how careful you are. Her TP roams are great, so bully her are force Poppy to use Teleport to go back to lane.

VS

Renekton

Medium

Fervor of Battle plusrenektonpreexecute.pngis a disgusting amount of damage early on in the game. He gets outscaled hard but before that farm, farm, and farm. Ask your jungler for ganks because Renekton players hardly saverenektonsliceanddice.png, especially in lanes like this one where they have the kil pressure

VS

Rengar

Hard

Really tricky lane, get Grasp of the Undying and try to keep it up so everytime you Q Rengar it procs. Try to place the barrels outside his leap range or at least have the reaction to detonate it before him so he eats the explosion AND  a passive proc. When he hits 6 he has a lot of burst to kill you. It´s better for you to wait for the kitty to roam and keep farming, responding with cannonbarrage.png whenever possible

VS

Riven

Hard

Skill matchup early on, then it tilts heavily towards Riven. Level 1 she MUST have E leveled up or she loses her lvl 2 powerspike. Play well around your barrels, use brushes, keep her poked as her health regen is atrocious. Take Grasp of the Undying

VS

Rumble

Medium

Easily kited in lane with raisemorale.png and/or passive. Just avoid his rumbleflamethrower.png in danger zone and you will be K, he doesn´t get exactly outscaled but you can do better and easier things in teamfights.

If he gets Protobelt his all-ins with rumblecarpetbomb.png  are scary as fuck

VS

Ryze

Medium

I played against 4 Ryze players since the rework came out so I´m not that experienced on the matchup yet. Luckily for us GP players he can no longer permarroot you. In exchange he got a weird ass ult (which ports his minions too), and options with his spellflux.png. So if he does E into Q it does a lot of damage, E-W is a longer root but that doesn´t matter because of removescurvy.png.

Rod of Ages is a big powerspike still so be careful when he finishes it

VS

Shen

Medium

At least reworked Shen isn´t nearly as obnoxius as he used to be, but he can win lane at level 2 if you get taunted, Q autos do a lot of damage. Have a raisemorale.png near you so when he taunts you it´s an easy explosion plus passive. The real downside of this matchup seen from the GP perspective is that Shen can equal the global pressure with almost the same CD. But anyways a well placed cannonbarrage.png can sometimes make the enemy botlane retreat.

VS

Shyvana

Easy

I´m surprised that after 300 games I have never played this lane. Just place  a raisemorale.png near you and keep it there. Shyv likes to trade when she lands hershyvanafireball.pngon you, but you can kite her to death with passive. Plus if she ever baits herself to shyvanatransformcast.pngaggresively you can punish that little dragon really hard with Barrels andcannonbarrage.png.

VS

Sion

Medium

This guy has a lot of base damage in the early stages of the game, and can all in you easily just by hitting R. Avoid trades, farm, sustain yourself withremovescurvy.png and outscale him in lategame fights. With cannonbarrage.png he can get kited to death (and even after he revives Kappa )

VS

Swain

Hard

Lots of damage in swaintorment.png, the permaslow on swainbeam.png and then the sustain he gets from swainmetamorphism.pngmakes it really hard for you to stay in lane. The upside is that he will push, A LOT. Pre level 6 it is a free kill, after that it depends purely on your raisemorale.png and eventuallycannonbarrage.png

VS

Tahm Kench

Medium

Tanky as hell and with absurd damage, the Kench is problematic if you stand in melee range in lane. Luckily you can always use parley.png for CS, and if he somehow eats you, removescurvy.png is there for you. Looks like tadpoles don´t like oranges. Later on in the game you can kite him incredibly hard with barrels and ult, and the Gray health is maybe one passive more. Anyways Tahm never had the best teamfight ever, his strenght is eating his carries for peel, the problem comes when 2 or 3 squishies are simultaneously in danger of eating a 1000 dmg AoE crit

VS

Teemo

Hard

Satan will make every CS you get a pain in the ass. Ask for jungle ganks as he will push you into the tower. removescurvy.pnghis blindingdart.png and follow-up your team withcannonbarrage.png to show that little bastard who is going to carry

VS

Trundle

Medium
trundleE.pngis like playing in a wheelchair. While he runs at you withtrundleW.png you are struggling to dodge that dildo and eat atrundleQ.png for it, which also steals your AD. Farm and outscale him. Consider grouping early if your teamcomp favors that (think the likes of Azir and Jinx to siege, Thresh to punish misspositionings that you can follow up with barrels and a jungler that you like)

VS

Tryndamere

Hard

Try to save your passive at level 1. At one point or another he will try to slashcast.pngand crit you (or not). Hitting him with Trial by Fire reduces that risk. After level 6 he can dive you while ALT-TABbing because of undyingrage.png. Don´t try to ult him or he will just spin away and BM you. Consider taking 14.png

VS

Twisted Fate

Medium

Just an average farm lane with just a hard CC to cleanse. The problem comes when the enemy jungler comes, he stuns you and you don´t have orange because you used it 6 seconds earlier in a trade. Luckily for you he is more likely to push in the matchup, especially when he gains access to destiny.png. Most TFs will push and hit R. As soon as you see where he will appear, press R. Make him regret his decision. Then keep farming and group and poke like a Xerath in drugs

VS

Veigar

Easy

My favorite mid lane matchup. You have two options: you both farm and you upgrade your ult twice at 20 minutes. Or you poke him, make him B and deny his scalin, or at least delay it. Both options are in favor of you, and you can do a mix of both, starting to poke with Sheen on your pocket. He is hella squishy so a good barrel chain can be followed up withcannonbarrage.pngfor free 300 gold (and maybe 8 Silver Serpents)

VS

Viktor

Medium

This lane is super swingy. It is really easy to farm relatively in a safe spot against him before his first buy and his damage is still low so you can force some trades. The moment he is level 7 with his first Hexcore upgrade you are going to be constantly under the tower scrapping CS because at that point he oneshots the caster minions. His all-in isn´t that scary now that his viktorchaosstorm.pngmoves considerably slower but never underestimate the damage of those ticks (150+60%AP at rank 1).

Like most meta mages the real problem comes when he finishes Rilays, but at that point you are really strong too and you should be looking to focus him down during team fights

VS

Vladimir

Hard

Doesn´t matter how hard you poke him, unless you get to melee range and hit him with passive he will just sustain through the lane phase while also crippling your health bar. Play around bushes so he has less chances of hitting vladimirtransfusion.png on you. If you are lucky enough he will start to ward the lane bushes to poke you, and that should be punished with a nice jungle gank to make you roll.

VS

Wukong

Hard

One of the best level 2 in the game make this matchup extremely dangerous, as he can gapclose to you with monkeykingnimbus.png, hit auto-Q and do like 200 damage, at least. At level 6 it is impossible to get last hits if he manages the creepwave propperly, and you are an easy all-in target. Pray to the jungler and the other lanes to do well. Help them with cannonbarrage.png. And may the force be with you

VS

Yasuo

Medium

Tricky matchup.  Better for the GP in mid lane given that the lane is shorter and is more difficult to get chased with succesive yasuoE.pngfor the knockup on the thirdyasuoQ.png. You can removescurvy.pnghisyasuoR.png, keep that in mind. The key of this lane is getting a parley.pngwhen he has windwall on CD, and without that shield, hitting some passive procs. Just be sure his Ignite isn´t up.

Need to try if a barrel chain goes through the wall (place the chain between the wall, and Q the barrel that is not affected by it)

VS

Zed

Hard

High lane pressure, ranged poke withzedQ.png and a huge assasination potential once level 6 has come make Zed one of the worst lanes in mid. Be sure of following up his roams withcannonbarrage.pngand look to push his tower in the meantime. Once you get crit and Dead Man´s Plate he can´t duel you. Wait for him to come out of his zedR.pngwith an unoffensive barrel. If you have your passive, auto Zed first and then detonate the barrel. If he doesn´t retreat from that burst he is really likely to die

LANING PHASE

Grasp of the Undying is taken generally in hard lanes, or in lanes where sustain can make a nice difference or to precisely avoid the sustain disadvantage you can be at versus the sorts of Shen (For example the Jax matchup is easily won by spamming Q at lvl 1 and zoning him off CS, and if you take regular trades, try to proc Grasp when his Q is on cooldown). In that case, use your Parrrley to proc it and auto the creeps for the last hits.

If you are taking Thunderlord´s Decree the you are more free to stack those Serpents unless getting trade upon. It´s like a little Death´s Daughter in your first ultimates and scales well into the mid-game (30% bonus AD with my average build means a nice chunk of damage).

TL;DR farm, farm farm and sustain yourself to keep those CS high.

MID GAME

The first groups are not the ones where you will be more impactful unless already fed. Trinity plus BF and level 13 is your big spike (sheen proc, raw AD and the quick decay on barrel HP), but before that it´s not that bad either. Just don´t go full ARAM before TriForce and preferably your first ult upgrade.

Ult upgraded with Fire at Will and Thunderlord´s can easily do 1000 damage maximum, so hard CC from your jungler or support is always appreciated (think Sejuani plus Alistar).

Remember to use Fog of War in your favor to chain the barrels orr you will start to love all these Rapid Firecannon ADCs that hit your barrel from 700 range.

LATE GAME

Your time to shine, to 2-shot squishies, to melt tanks with Passive, to have your ult at it´s full potential. The barrels will tell the difference at this stage in the game. Land them and carry, or place them at stupid places and get rekt. There´s no middleground. Either way it´s up to you

ULT UPGRADES

I do Fire at Will, then Raise Morale and leave Death´s Daughter last. Enemys often underestimate Fire at Will´s potential damage and stay inside your Cannon Barrage while they are doing Dragon or some weird shit. I suck at landing Death´s Daughters, and using a 2-minute global ultimate for a snipe isn´t that worth for me compared to a second Sivir ult, or to help me get out of a collapse when I´m splitting. However you will probably have better results with Death´s Daughter second (or first). Just choose what suits better to your playstyle.

Barrels Back to Top

Or Powder Kegs, I should say. The skill that makes the difference at all stages in the game.

This skill makes or breaks a good Gangplank player.

In lane you should always have at least one charge to place it near your position or inside your caster minions, it creates a nice zone control and can be easily chained for harass. I don´t reccomend detonating it with Parrrley before you have sheen, just auto it, it´s practically the same amount of damage and its quicker, too.

Depending on the amount of pressure the enemy laner has you can start to place barrels near him, to zone him off CS.

When you finish your Trinity  you can oneshot the casters with one barrel unless you fell really far behind a.k.a finishing it at 20 minutes.

Go to the practice tool and spend at least 20 minutes with different levels, items and combos. It is the perfect place to improve your barrel mechanics especially the one part combo (E-Q-E)

Alright I finally got a chance to take a look at this. Playing GP this last time has been really rough so it´s not the best time to learn him, and I think my win rate reflects that. Nevertheless, here I am, writing this for my beloved pirate while I´m struggling at low diamond
