Summoner Spells Back to Top

Nothing to say. You can try to take 6.png instead of flash, but don't say it was my idea.

New Runes Back to Top

Masteries Back to Top

Again ballsy masteries, but terribly efficient. you can also forget the Ferocity tree to fill the Resolve one, but that's not funny. With those masteries, you got everything against the rude jungle - tough skin and sabagery will be useful - and you deal a great amount of dammages. Note that bounty hunter and Oppressor have almost the same effect, but with frozen mallet, red, ... Oppressor will always be triggered.

Obviously the Q is first to be maxed, because it's your main spell and it's even more true in the early game, so i don't think there is any good reason at maxing W.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

Core Items

Situational Items

Of course, you start with the machette, and no need to take the reloadable potion, because you will sustain a lot with your passive (the hp obtained with the mega form aren't suppressed after the retransformation) and the jungle item.

Now we have our three principal items: mallet for perma slow, razor for attack speed and Hp percent dammages, and guinsoo for hitting with W 1/2 attacks instead of 1/3. If the game begin really bad, you can take more tankyness before guinsoo, but this item is really the one who will give you your power spike, so, the more you have it late, the less it is impacting. Think about it.

The boots are totally situationnal, there are three differents boots you can take: 3006.png3047.png3111.png depending of the enemy team and the situation of the game.

The other items are only tank items. If you want to have fun, you can take 3153.png, or better 3072.png, but you will be a crisp, so... don't try it if you really want to win. The items i put in the "situationnal" box are the most useful, on my opinion.

VS

Graves

Easy

Matchup versus grave is easy. Try just to mind his potential counter jungle at lvl 2, because he could be really lucky and kill you at your red before your mega form. After this level, You will be able to 1v1 him since you can dodge his Q with your E, you can run faster than him and catch him from far with Q and you are still more useful in teamfight with your dps and your ccs. Still don't try to fight him in hus jungle, because he has everything to tempo enough time so his team can give backup.

VS

Kha'Zix

Medium

Kha zix can burst you, but you have enough adventages to win versus him. First of all, you can kite him. after his E, you can E out (on him for the W, but to make a gap) and then begin the kite. He is dangerous only if he can snowball, else you will outscale him fast. Try to play safe early and communicate with your team to avoid free kills. Don't try to 1v1 him on first levels. you have not enough attack speed in mini form and too much CCs in mega.

VS

Lee Sin

Medium

Lee sin is an early ganker and a great duelist... Only if he can reach you. If he counterjungle you or if you meet him in the jungle, your win will depend of his Q. If he land it, you wont be able to kite efficiently, and there are risks for you to panic and waste your E during his travelling time. Lee will  be useful in early but you will outscale him like hell, try to give pressure top in very early and then go around drake to catch it if you see him top. Warning, you have no execute, he will easily outsmite you, so make sure he can't smite before objectives.

VS

Rammus

Easy

This matchup isn't really hard. rammus can be more useful in some situations, but it's still not a great pick and you are far better than him: more ccs, more dps, and you are also tanky, even if you aren't as tanky as he is. you can try to counter jungle him, but not to kill him, steal his camps and run. You can also try to 2v2 and ignore him, after his taunt, he become easy to forget.

VS

Rengar

Medium

This thing is really hard to 1V1. Try to be more useful for your team and force 2v2, because your mega form can be the key for an easy 2v2. With your three dammages items and ninja tabi, it will be much easier to 1v1 him if only you can kite him: that mean, dodging his E and forget fights if there are bushes around. Be prudent, because you will be able to do much better than him in late, only if he isnt' fed before. Try to ward for your friends, and follow him when he gank, to make pressure.

VS

Sejuani

Hard

Sejuani is just more tanky than you, and can be greater as delivering CCs. She also beat you in 1v1 in early and can have more impact in late. She is mobile, her clear is good, and her ganks are easiers than yours. you will need to force 1V1 against the other members of her team, to get an adventage and get objectives.

VS

Shyvana

Hard

Shyvana is one of the champs who can clear the jungle really fast. It's your weakpoint, because you're champ isn't that fast at clearing. So i mark this matchup as hard. You cannot easily 1v1 her too, because she run faster -don't care about your E- and she has the same kind of dps than yours. try to avoid 1v1 and hope your early ganks will be useful or you'll get really late. In mid/late, go as a team, you cannot try to 1v1 her because even if you can outplay her a bit and win a 1v1, she will be tanky enough to tempo her allies. She also has instant burst, so don't try to do a smite battle with her or she'll have more chance to win this than you.

In game tactic Back to Top

As gnar jungle, you need to always begin at golems. If you are in the top/right side, you can take golems/red/chikens (you will get mega at the end of the red, keep your W for the chikens), and then go scuttle to end this way at top. you will certainly burn a flash, and sometimes get a kill. If you don't, no problem, your golems are up again. You can still check the ennemy blue, it's still xp and golds of more, and at level 3, if you already ganked top, that mean their top got no hps and no flash (trust me, gnar with red do that easily) so only mid can come. It's okay, your mid stay farming mid to obtain an adventage and you can get out easily with E.

After it, tr y to keep the control of the scuttles, they're easy to kill with mega form or golems buff. Continue farming and put a maximum pressure on the lanes, particulary the side lanes, because they are greater, so you can chase more with your perma slow given by red and Q in early. The perfect gank is when you have like 75-80 on your fury. Because if the laner try to burst you, he will trigger the mega form, so you wont die so easily.

Reach your guinsoo and you become a living god. with this item, you can 1v1 absolutely every champions in the league, if you keep an eye on your guinsoo's stack and on your mega form. Nashor become really easy to do with one other guy who can tank, and even if it's late, a rapid 2-men nashor is great.
