Summoner Spells Back to Top

[Top Lane] TP+Flash

[Mid Lane]: TP/Ignite+Flash

TP for map pressure and losing lanes. Ignite for lane pressure.

Exhaust:  consider vs AD mids or if your team need one.

Cleanse: preference

[Support]: Ignite/Exhaust+Flash.

New Runes Back to Top

Manaflow band/Ultimate Hat:

Whichever you prefer.
Always take Ultimate Hat when going Tear->Seraphs.
Take Manaflow Band when going Luden's Echo AND find yourself out of mana in later teamfights and sieges. A larger manapool means you can cast shields on cooldown when sieging turrets even without blue buff.

Transcendence/Celerity/Absolute Focus:

Celerity would be my first choice
Transcendence if your build doesn't give you 40% CDR
Absolute Focus could work vs tanks in top lane

Electrocute/Aery:

Electrocute:
> Take Ignite and pressure for kills. Trade with E+Q and weave in one AA to proc Electrocute whenever it's off CD.
Poke with AAs and self-shield to mitigate minion damage, Q to clear the wave and try to hit the enemy at the
same time; Extend range with E+Q and try to hit the enemy as the first target of the 2nd bolt for full damage.
> For secondary take either Sorcery or Inspiration.
Preference, try both and see what works for you.

Summon Aery:
> Works just as well for poking and trading in lane. Synergizes better with Lulu's kit. A bit less burst that Electrocute
but more sustained damage and of course utility.
> Inspiration 2nd tree

Masteries Back to Top

12/18/0 Thunderlord's

> Windspeaker's: giving up dmg in lane; if all you wanna do is press E on the ADC late game. c:

> Swap Biscuits for "Runic Affinity" for increased blue buff duration in case you prefer starting refillable.

> don't know if "precision" or "intelligence" is better. 45% cdr is pretty neat but hybrid pen gets you a bit more damage on AA's. I'd say hybrid pen top vs tanks for more AA dmg in lane ; 45% mid, for better late game scaling

0/18/12 with "Insight" for 15% summoner spell cdr, if you like.

Skill order

R > Q > W > E

Q: Wave clear CC and Damage
E: CD doesn't go down with lvl. DMG also scales rather poor. Take 2-3 points early depending on matchup
W: Get it lvl 3 so you can get away from annoying early ganks

put some points in E then max W when teamfighting starts

Skills *Patch 4.15

[Passive] Pix, Faerie Companion :

Makes your AA's more potent and compensates a little for Lulu's mediocre AP ratios.
The passive applies on allied AA's, with maxed out cdr you can keep the shield on your adc all the time. That's like +200 Damage on each AA (with ~500AP). Legit damages.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[Q] Glitterlance

Q is your primary damage spell. It provides waveclear and a nice slow.
Max first.

In lane you generally want to hit both the enemy and the minion wave. Keeping the lane pressured is key to playing Lulu. A pushed lane allows you to TP to roam and for objectives. If you keep warding you can easily get away from a gank using your w, so don't be afraid to keep the lane pushed.

E (on minion/ally) -> Q-Combo:
- On an incoming minion wave for fast and safe clear.
- To slow an enemy when chasing
- To hit multiple enemies (geometry and stuff)
- Harass while staying out of danger

By variying the distance at which you keep your mouse when firing you can change the angle at which the bolts fire. Use this to hit multiple enemies at once or for more efficient farming.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[W] Whimsy

A very strong spell with two different utilities.

Laning:
- Return to lane fast
- Use on enemy if you get jumped (irelia/jax etc.) To trade back damage and disengage.
- Use on yourself when chasing/kiting champs that you outtrade (nasus/darius without grab etc.)
- roam and gain map pressure

Teamfighting:
- Use on engage (stealth rengar/shyvana etc.) to close off distance.
- Use on ADC when sieging to allow him/her to dodge skillshots and reposition when attacking turret
now also gives attack speed
- Use on enemy assassin/high threat as soon as he tries to deal damage to your team. W has a cast time so be quick. Be sure to chain CC and focus down the polymorphed target first and immediately.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[E] Help, Pix

Laning:
- Cast E on a minion to extend the Q range for catch and harass.
- Shield yourself and walk up to trade with AA's and Q.
- E gives vision on enemies

Teamfighting:
- Use primarily on the ADC: The shield gives him/her additional On-Hit damage and protection plus more confidence to walk up and attain a more favorable positioning.
- Use E on yourself to make yourself a less favorible target, if you find yourself in engagement range of the enemy.

- With blue and 40% CDR spam E (and sometimes W) on your ADC even before a fight. Allows the ADC to move up in siege situations to attack the tower, and mitigate incoming poke.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[R] Wild Growth

Laning:
- Use on ganker as CC
- Use on yourself after baiting with low HP and turn a fight around

Teamfighting:
- Use on Low HP ally to save them
- Interrupt dashes with the knockup (zac E, panth W etc.)
- Use on frontline as a initial CC. The slow allows him/her to stick to their target longer.
- Use on ADC to knock up everyone engaging on him. The slow helps them kite their target.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How to cast

Personal preference honestly, but this is what I use:

[Q] Smart Cast (optional: line missile display)
[W] Smart + Self Cast
[E] Smart + Self Cast
[R] Smart Cast+Self Cast (optional: Use a separate key combo for self cast)

I play with Smart (reduced screen clutter) + Self Cast on every champion to minimize reaction time (Saves moving cursor to your char)

Advantages of smart + selfcast: faster
Disadvantages: ur probably gonna miss that crucial ult on your ADC in your promos. jk

You could technically also press the Function-key of your ally along with the skill for a guaranteed target.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

Core Items

zhonyas core get 2nd or 3rd
    Luden's Echo or
    ..tear into seraphs
having max CDR is pretty important. Depends on matchup and runes if u take cdr boots or not; Ninja Tabi vs heavy AD
if adc is not jhin get this 2nd or 3rd

Situational Items

If you like more hp. Not as good as the other two choices tho
    more dmg
if u like swap dorans ring for this
---------OUTDATED---------
[Starting Items]

Doran's Ring + 2 Pots

[Core Items]

3040.png or 3285.png get either Tear->Seraphs or Lost Chapter->Ludens (Luden's Echo helps with waveclear, usually what I take)

3157_32.png buys early against AD assassins, full AD enemy team. Later to survive longer

3135_32.png vs MR

3504.png pretty good atm (Season 7)

[SITUATIONAL OFFENSIVE ITEM CHOICES]

3027_32.png If you are willing to trade lane and midgame objective pressure for sustain and HP.
Buy first or never. You will need to sacrifice one core item or one defensive item.

3100_32.png for dmg. But if your team lacks damage you shouldn't be playing 117_64.png anyway.

3089_32.png more AP

3115_32.png well it could work for AS Lulu

3151_32.png

[SITUATIONAL DEFENSIVE ITEM CHOICES]

3026_32.png not a must-have if you have 3157_32.png
Consider it as your final defensive item if the game is really close. It relieves the kill pressure on you significantly, so your ult can more likely used on an ally.

3048_32.png tear takes time
which could take a while as Lulu. Once again: You lose mid game pressure if you buy this. One of the two other mana items should be sufficient, the additional shield is not needed.

3102_32.png Unless the enemy team runs full AD, this item really assists Lulu's strengths. It reduces the enemy's pick and engage potential on you and therefore reduces kill pressure on you.

3143.png this plus 3157_32.png helps you survive heavy AD teams and AD assassins.
Don't get it if they have at least one AP that has poke or kill pressure on you.

VS

Ahri

Medium

She's got a little sustain advantage on you, and can actually burst you down from mid game onwards. You should be able to at least be even. Just be careful with her taunt.

You can save one teammate from assassination if she jumps in. But even with your ult it could be hard to save a taunted adc lategame.

VS

Akali

Easy

Get Rekt Son. 64_64.png64_64.png64_64.png64_64.png64_64.png64_64.png2.png84_64.png2.png117_64.png117_64.png117_64.png117_64.png117_64.png117_64.png

VS

Amumu

Medium

Unfortunately you cannot save everyone, if he hits a good ultimate. Your initial burst is not going to hurt him. Kinda hard to deal with him later in the game.

VS

Anivia

Easy

I you don't fail and get hit with every stun, you'll win the lane

VS

Annie

Medium

I hate the annie stun zonerino. Play agressive early but stay healthy against her burst potential.

VS

Ashe

Easy

80% slow + 80% speedup UMAD ASHE

VS

Brand

Easy

Never really played against brand. Won't be too hard i guess

VS

Cassiopeia

Easy

avoid her q's and kite her down if she misses. Her DPS is insane. Avoid 1vs1 fighting.

VS

Cho'Gath

Easy

his sustain is tricky, but you'll be able to handle him if you keep harassing and avoid his combo.

I'd say:
Top Lane Cho: easy get kited son
AP Mid Lane: medium don't get combo'd. You have your ult if you are able to avoid the silence

VS

Darius

Easy

lol get rekt son. 117_64.png

VS

Diana

Easy

She's a bit tankier than your everyday midlaner. But that's ok she can't just straight up dive you.

VS

Dr. Mundo

Easy
3165_32.png get rekt son. 117_64.png

VS

Elise

Easy

Jungle ganks, no one plays her top anyway: Get kited son. 117_64.png (Avoid the stun though)

VS

Ezreal

Medium

could be tricky to slow-CC him down cause of his e.

VS

Fiora

Medium
Won't see Fiora that often. She will take ignite, 9/10 times. Don't get cheesed Lvl 2-4 otherwise you'll lose lane from there. beware of her trades. Matchup is pretty much the same as against Irelia. Please read on that for more explanation. Be careful of her Ultimate. Let her push in. Play the map.

Teamfights:
W her immediately as she dashes to your backline, focus her down with whatever you can. Fight in open spaces.
If she ults: Shield your carry, R her first ult-target, after she comes out of the ult to knock her up. Immediatly chain CC and focus her.

VS

Fizz

Easy

dangerous burst from mid game on, be careful.Lane should be in your favor

VS

Galio

Easy

Annoying, but no one plays him anyway. Just farm and roam if you need to lane against him.

VS

Gangplank

Easy

get rekt son. 117_64.png

VS

Garen

Easy

get rekt son. 117_64.png

VS

Gragas

Easy

The most boring lane in the history of league of legends. Played this matchup countless times the last few days. It was nothing more than farming. Gragas won't even bother wasting his Q's to harass you. Whoever has the better dragon TP rotations wins the game.

VS

Heimerdinger

Easy

who plays heimer anyway.

VS

Irelia

Hard

She will try to jump on you whenever possible, since she will outtrade you . Ask for a gank lvl 3 if possible.

W UP:

When she Q's to you: Immediately W her, Q her, then
-> E yourself if she is able to deal damage. i.e her Q is still up, and you expect a follow-up trade, she might still have ult and engage as soon as she sees an opening.
-> E her if she got outtraded. Keep pressure and AA while she runs back, until her cd's are up again, then back out and get out of Q range.

W NOT UP:

Q her if she comes in range to dash, don't get baited though, she could just dash back to a low health minion and dodge your damage. E yourself immediately if she actually jumps, ULT if you are in danger, especially if you are pushed far out, and she has ult up. It will scare her away and if not it at least slows down her chase. If you ult too late, she'll be outchasing you, and her sustained damage outtrades you.

Keep AA'ing and kite back/forth depending on situation.

Take 21/9/0 masteries, not 24/0/6.
Rush Morellonomicon.
Don't push lane, like ever, for no reason, if she manages to freeze you'll be at a huge disadvantage.

If she takes ignite:
- be very careful, play safe
- never fully commit unless you know she cannot possibly kill you
- beware of early game cheese, i.e lvl 3/lvl 6 all-ins.
- play the objective game, since you have TP and she does not, force an early dragon, if the wave is pushing to her and you are not in danger of loosing your tower. Tell your team to prepare for a dragon, or just TP on a deep ward for a bot gank, gain map pressure and follow with a dragon.

Try to not lose your tower too early agains Irelia. You might just not be able to farm anymore, because of her strong 1vs1 and her chasing potential.

Don't pick Lulu into irelia, it surely is a more difficult matchup and relies heavily on timing your skills right.

Also try to keep up with the farm!

VS

Jarvan IV

Easy

don't get cheesed lvl 2. and you should be alright

VS

Jax

Medium

R and W him when he jumps on you.

don't lose early and u should be fine.

VS

Jayce

Medium

easy to medium I guess. Rarely playing this lane

VS

Kennen

Easy

easy to push him down. Beware of ganks

VS

Kha'Zix

Easy

Teamfights: get rekt son 117_64.png. E him for vision/ w for disability, focus him down first and ult his victim if needed.

VS

LeBlanc

Easy

got easier since the silence removal.

VS

Lee Sin

Easy

annoying if he manages to jump on you in lane. You should be able to kite him though if he does that.

VS

Malphite

Easy

get rekt son. 117_64.png

VS

Maokai

Medium

Maokai nerfed GG. Following text was written a while ago. Maokai isn't that popular at all anymore

Maokai has a huge amount of free sustain. One should suppose you should build 3165_32.png for the healing reduction. The problem is that Maokai's AP damage is undodgeable and also significant enough for you to consider 3174_32.png. Either way he outlanes and outtrades you because he has:

> comparable pushing power
> Sustain
> Tankiness
> a not negatable "dash"
> low cooldown CC, lockdown when the enemy jungler is ganking
> late-game scaling

The problem with maokai compared to other matchups is that it is very hard to bully him significantly enough to win the lane that way. Also, you cannot really itemize against him, since  3165_32.png plus 3174_32.png for both healing reduction and MR is a horrible build into mid/late game.

Your early game range advantage is not enough to snowball the lane from it. Pushing mao under tower makes you very vunerable to ganks, because you cannot escape from Maokai's CC.

The only time I could win against maokai is when I gain enough advantage though early to early mid game lane pressure that I can equally trade with him and therefore keeping top lane pressured and pushed. As soon as I lose my pressure, as soon as I die to a gank, I lose the lane. If I don't have the advantage to keep maokai pushed in, the only thing he has to do is keep the lane EVEN to win through his late game hyper tank scaling.

Dragon pressure aka early mid game teamfight potential of Maokai is at least equal to Lulu. Therefore you should consider not forcing mid game dragons if your team has no other advantages elsewhere on the map, (such as enemy bot tower down, enemy botlane dead etc.) that normally is a huge part in Lulu's mid game playstyle.

You should consider to TP into botlane at around Levels 6-9 while you still have your lane pressured. Normally it results in a kill or two, or at least forcing the enemy to base, giving your team the chance to take dragon. Since your top lane is pushed earlygame the enemy Maokai has to either give his farm up or tp bot after you and potentially even be to late to help. Advantage for your team either way. Be sure to use the early game lane pressure to help the other lanes to get ahead, because you won't be able to do that anymore from around Lvl 11 and on.

An optimal early-mid game plan looks like this:
-> Push top lane in early game 1-4, base and port back, buy wards, don't die.
-> Keep the lane pushed, keep the pressure, perhaps ask for a early gank for extra advantage.
-> Look for a possible fight at bot when your TP is off CD again.
-> At least force the enemy to back, even better: 1-2 kills.
-> Take dragon.

-> Either rotate mid to push mid tower down if possible, or:
-> If your top tower is in danger to go down: Immediately back and rush top to save the tower. Later in the game it becomes very hard to push the enemy top tower as Lulu without help.

VS

Master Yi

Medium

you can't kite him, but you can polymorph him AFTER he uses q to jump in so he can't dodge it. Then focus him down in teamfights. THE SAME APPLIES TO FIORA.

VS

Nasus

Easy

Don't ever stop pressuring him. Push hard early game, Q when he goes for a last hit under tower. Q if he tries to engage on you. shield your self to negate damage if he actually manages to Q you.

VS

Nidalee

Easy

pressure early so u dont have to deal with her mid game damage

VS

Olaf

Easy

get rekt son. 117_64.png

VS

Rammus

Hard

he is actually fast. His taunt is strong as hell, and your Q won't stop him forever. Really hard to deal with if he manages to taunt your AD or AP.

You really don't want to blow all your cc on rammus, but you can also not just leave your ADC alone.

If you have a frontline, use him/her/them to keep the enemy carries away, while your adc is taunted. After that ignore rammus, try to counterengage. Don't blow everything on rammus.

Often your Ult is not enough to save a taunted ally if the enemy collapses on the target. If that is the case (esp. late game) you should ult your frontline/assassin to help keeping enemy threats away. W every threat that comes to near to your carry.
Zhonya if you are in danger. Be sure to use your CD's before you use Zhonya's.

Your position should look like this:

[Support][ADC]-Rammus-[Mage][LULU][Frontline]-enemy carries-enemy support

or if you play with an ad assassin mid:
if you have like a Zed, ult him instead of the jungler.

[Support][ADC]-Rammus-[LULU][Frontline+Assassin] enemy carries-enemy support

VS

Renekton

Easy

get rekt son. 117_64.png

VS

Rengar

Easy

get rekt son. 117_64.png117_64.png117_64.png117_64.png117_64.png117_64.png117_64.png117_64.png

I always pick Lulu when I see rengar. He jumps in, you ult his prey, he gets bursted. Win game.

VS

Riven

Medium

use your speedup plenty to dodge her gapclosers. Kite with Q, Riven loses a lot of her kill pressure both in lane and in teamfights against a 117_64.png.

VS

Rumble

Easy

don't give him an early advantage. Push him down, and ward good. Early dive etc. to completely shut him down. 117_64.png

VS

Ryze

Medium

Ryze outscales Lulu, try to pressure early as hard as possible, don't let ryze farm.

Ask your jungler for constant pressure toplane, Coordinate early dives. Be ready for a lvl 3 jungler battle top.

Tell your jungler to gank early, i.e Lvl 3 after 2 buffs

(Pressure Lvl 1 if ryze plays passive, otherwise just) Rush Lvl 2 by pushing ->  Pressure lvl 2 with E->Q Combo. Go ward, wait for enemy jungler to arrive. Your own lungler should be ready. Bait enemy jungler into the lane. Your jungler should immediatly collapse onto the enemy jungler and at least force a flash.

If I'm against Lulu, I will sometimes counterpick Ryze and try to play the scaling game, BUT NOT if the enemy has a protect the adc comp (Lulu+Vayne/Trist/Lucian+Janna/Nami) and your team does not have a primary diver/secondary threat(Jax/Jarvan/Malph/Irelia) to soak up damage.

5.21 Ryze dmg nerfed, Hard->Medium

VS

Shen

Easy

You can stop his ult. Take advantage of that. Push him down early so he loses CS, harass him under turret, but don't get taunted in tower range. As for every "push him/her down" matchup, keep a ward so he stays shut down.

VS

Shyvana

Medium

she's strong and hard to deal with later in the lane/game. So shut her down early (early gank, push under turret, early dive) that she cannot trade with you later anymore.

VS

Singed

Easy

should be easy early game, He gets a lot tankier though, so shut him down early, otherwise you won't be able to deal with him later.

VS

Swain

Easy

His sustain is hard to beat. Once again: shut down early, roam and win game with map pressure

VS

Talon

Easy

You can save his target, so no big deal here

VS

Teemo

Easy

annoying but 117_64.png rekts him if you don't screw up.

VS

Trundle

Easy

Shut down early. Get morello as always

VS

Twisted Fate

Medium

I'd say easy in lane, but his map pressure can win other lanes for him. Shut him down, push him down or follow his ganks.

VS

Udyr

Easy

get rekt son. 117_64.png

VS

Volibear

Easy

he heals a lot of your harass if he gets low on HP. Definitely push him under turret and try to make him lose CS. He's not the best farmer under turret, Beware of the fling. You will win lane with a CS advantage

VS

Yasuo

Medium

Teamfighting: If he jumps in, ult the most important target on your team that gets R'd by Yasuo. Proceed to polymorph and then focus him down.

VS

Zed

Medium

Be careful. I lost lanes against Zed especially when I didn't pay attention to his W>Q harass followed by all ins when I was low enough. Avoid his harass so he cannot all in you.

In teamfights: You can stop his assassination with your ult and shield. Keep your eyes on him in teamfights and help keeping him from dealing damage to his target. W him AFTER he jumps ( so he cannot dodge it), immediately when he is targetable again.

Ziggs

Hello everyone,

guide is outdated atm, sorry. Haven't kept up with the game after Season 6. Will rework if I ever catch up again one day. Some things in this guide might still be of use such as notes about core gameplay, strategies and teamfighting. Take what you need.

Please refer to other featured guides to keep up with the current Metagame:

Introduction Back to Top

Greetings,

my summoner name is SayonaraMemories (EUW) and my favorite champion is Lulu. I have had a win rate of around 70-75% with her in Season 4. It's been a while since I played Lulu extensively but I guess the core mechanics don't really change that much.

Thank you for reading!

About Lulu Back to Top

This guide is for TOP and MID lane Lulu.

[Even though Lulu's playstyle remains support-ish no matter the position, I don't feel like Support provides enough gold income for Lulu to be a sufficient significance in teamfights, since her utility scales nicely with AP. Lulu as a solo laner is strong because she is an early game lane bully, provides mid game objective control and pick potential and is an excellent AP scaling support for hyper carries late game..]
- Patch 4.XX

Never mind.

Lulu is probably stonger as a support nowadays (patch 6.2X) with the W AS buff and nerfed Q waveclear.

Lulu is a highly contested champion competitively across several seasons, because she is a safe first pick and can fulfill multiple roles in the team and is highly adaptable to many teamcomps.

When to pick Lulu:

> Your team has a hyper carry 96_64.png18_64.png67_64.png11_64.png
> Your team is a dive comp with damage and your adc does not need peel 59_64.png254_64.png157_64.png54_64.png / 236_64.png81_64.png104_64.png
> Your team is a mid game one trick pony OR needs pick potential 33_64.png92_64.png20_64.png64_64.png
> You have to first pick a top lane champ
> Your team has at least 2 high damage champs or one hyper carry 96_64.png18_64.png67_64.png11_64.png
> The enemy picks a champion that dives your carries 24_64.png238_64.png121_64.png92_64.png39_64.png114_64.png11_64.png23_64.png84_64.png107_64.png

When to avoid Lulu:

> Your team lacks damage

> The enemy has a lot of poke.

> Your team has no hard CC/engage/frontline

> Your team is too ap heavy

Gameplay Back to Top

Lane:

clear waves with Q
harass with AA's
extend Q range with E on minion/champion
trade with E+Q+AA+Thunderlord's
Look for roams after pushing the wave

start E lvl 1 to trade with AA's
start Q lvl 1 to push the wave

When ganked:
- depending on matchup and situation either W yourself and Q to slow the enemy and just run away or
W enemy to disable.
- R: Try to hit the enemy with the knockup. R can be used to interrupt enemy gap closer.

In a 2vs2 with both junglers:
- self ult to stay alive if enemy is on top of you
- ult jungler, stay back and let him do the work if your jungler goes in.

Skirmishes and Teamfights:

> Help diving:
Use R on sustained DPS Bruisers 24.png 92.png 39.png/assassins 114.png 84.png 238.png  to help them stick to the enemy (Lulu Ult Slows nearby enemies) and survive longer.
Supporting the frontline to dive enemy carries and win through disabling enemy dps.

> Help kiting:
If your teams primary DPS is an ADC 67_64.png 119_64.png 18_64.png 29_64.png 96_64.png
Help the backline kite and win through sustained dps from your adc.

-------------------------

Positioning:

Often Lulu's ult is not enough to save an ally if the enemy collapses on the target. If that is the case (esp. late game) ult your frontline/assassin to help keeping enemy threats away. W every threat that comes to near to your carry.
Zhonyas if in danger. Be sure to use your CD's before Zhonya's.

Positioning should look something like this:

[Support][ADC]-enemy tank/bruiser-[LULU][Frontline]-enemy carries-enemy support

Basically be in position to be able to support both your frontline and your backline with your utility as needed.

Some thoughts on matchups Back to Top

vs poke champs:

Taken from the Ziggs matchup comment and applies to every long range Mage268.png99.png101.png.

"One of the few harder matchups. His poke is annoying, so is his waveclear. Stay besides the wave so he cannot push and harass at the same time. Try to hold against his push. You can roam a lot better than him.

His poke and aoe ult lategame are somewhat hard to deal with. If he hits both ADC and you (because that's the guy you wanna stay besides with to help kiting and protect with ult and shields) One of you is going to lost half the Hitpoints.
-> Don't fight in tight spots (jungle) so you can stay a little further away from your adc, and only approch him when there is a threat.

Ziggs limits your ability to do your job.
Because he deals damage from afar, your ult is only used against him as a life saver, not as a counter-engage turn compared to dealing with
92_64.png254_64.png157_64.png107_64.png238_64.png

Your W is also not stopping his damage, since he is not in range of the polymorph. As a speedup it only lasts a certain time.

Do you save your ult to counter engage or just to safe a teammate. What if they have a VI who engages after you blow your ult?

If your own team has a strong engage 62_64.png157_64.png254_64.png54_64.png you might want to ult them instead, so the enemy carries have to deal with them, passively protecting your own carries. If then one lonely assassin sneaks up to your adc, you still gave your Q, W or E. If you didn't use them on your diver.

Lulu heavily relies on her team, and her skillset should be used to assist the ally that needs it the most.
