4.png Always take flash, it gives so much play potential, both for escapes and for engage.
14.pngIgnite to finish og your enemies early to mid game and to stop dumb champions like 16_64.png Soraka from healing and healing and healing even more when you try to kill them.
14.png Ignite can be replaced with 7.png Heal or 21.png Barrier if you feel like it, but i don't recommend it.

Starting Items

Core Items

All the damage you can dream of!

Situational Items

    Buy this
If you want more damage instead of a defensive item choose one of these

For starting items i usually go for doran's for some early damage.

In the core i rush tear, then I get DFG, then Gunblade and at last void staff to finish the core. I often buy boots after DFG or after Gunblade.
Once you have the core you need to find out if you need more damage or defensive stats.

When tear is fully stacked and you have your core, upgrade it to manamune, the reason i choose manamune is because you have enough AP, a good spear gets a bruisers down to 60% health, and your takedown scales so well off AD, also, you will be much better at taking objectives with your E.

Remember that Nidalee does magic damage even in cougar form so all the magic penetration does wonders against tanks and bruisers.

With this build you will be a little weak early game but you will scale well into mid game, and in late game you will become a beast.

  • Xerath

  • Ziggs
    Hard

VS

Xerath

Hard

His poke does more damage, has the same range, is easier to hit, does a bit more damage and can be cast through minions to hit you.

Don't play this kind of Nidalee vs. a Xerath.

Sorry for the few matchups but haven't played Nidalee enough to get a certain picture against other champions.
But more or less she has the same counters as before the rework back in the spring time.

VS

Ziggs

Hard

His harass does more damage, he can flee most of the times with his e.

So if you try to harass he will come out on top and if you try to go in on him he will get away.

Sorry for the few matchups but haven't played Nidalee enough to get a certain picture against other champions.
But more or less she has the same counters as before the rework back in the spring time.

How to play Back to Top

Early game:

Farm, farm, farm.
You need farm to get that tear and DFG ASAP! Farm in human form. Harass when possible with Q and basic attacks (basic attacks hurt a lot early when you have AD runes) and tactically place traps.

Mid game:
Now the fun starts, when you have tear and DFG you can instakill squishies, heres the full rotation starting in human form:
DFG - Q - W - R - W - E - W/Q - Q/W

The last two depends on how low the enemy is. If about 30% or under then Q.
Once you get Gunblade throw that in after DFG.
If the enemy does not die by this you are in trouble. You can W away, change to human, Q and E then cougar again and rotation W - E - W/Q - Q/W in cougar form again.

Late game:
This is where this build turns Nidalee into a beast!
Make sure enemy jungle is warded so you can catch unsuspecting enemys.
Rotation when 1v1 or 1v2 starting in human form:
DFG - Gunblade - Q - W - R - W - E - W/Q - Q/W - W - E - Murumana - R - E - W - Q - R and so on.
Just remember to put a trap in their (the one you start with's) escape path so they either get hit by the spear or walk into the trap while trying to dodge the spear.

When in team fights make sure to harass with spears and traps, and place traps on back line then the ADC tries too move back. Focus the squishies and you can easily get a trible kille in a matter of seconds. Just use everything you have on the first enemy you attack and you can R - Q - R - W on the next enemy and get close and kill him and same on the third.

Remember to split push too cause you are very good at it. Clearing waves in 0,5 seconds and taking towers like a bruiser.

I think that's it for my hybrid Nidalee guide guys! :)
I hope you like it, it might not sound like the best best I really kick ass with it!
You can take on all but the heaviest tanks and you a lot of outplay potential and a high skill cap.

If I forgot something or you have any questions I will answer them in the comments.
