Living Forge (Passive)

  • Allow you to build non-consumables items anywhere on the map.
  • This takes four seconds and will be cancelled upon entering combat.
  • You are given a Forge Menu presented with items from your recommended items.

  • You will also give your team the ability to purchase a Masterwork (locked until level 13) upgrade.
  • This is limited to one Masterwork item per player.
  • For 1000 gold you can upgrade and make: 3371.png 3373.png 3374.png 3379.png 3380.png 3384.png
  • For 500 gold you can upgrade and make: 3382.png 3383.png

  • Brittle is applied by the final tick of ornnw.png and ornnr.png.
  • Ornn's basic attacks consume Brittle, knocking back the target and deals bonus magic damage based on the target's maximum health. Immobilizing abilities will consume Brittle and deals bonus magic damage based on the target's maximum health.
  • Targets under the effect of Brittle have their tenacity lowered.

Volcanic Rupture (Q)

  • Targets an area sending a fissure dealing physical damage and slowing.
  • Will create an impassable magma pillar at maximum range after a delay.
  • Displaces enemy champions if they are on top of the pillar when it spawns.
  • If it hit an enemy champion, the fissure is stopped and the pillar is made behind that champion.

Bellows Breath (W)

  • On activation, shields himself for a percentage of maximum health.
  • Will also deal magic damage every 0.5 seconds based on the targets current health.
  • The final flame will apply Brittle.

Searing Charge (E)

  • Charges forward dealing physical damage and stop when you collide with terrain.
  • Colliding with terrain with emit a shockwave dealing extra physical damage and knocking up enemies.
  • Magma Pillar and terrain created by enemies are destroyed upon impact.

Call of the Forge God (R)

  • Summons the Forge God at maximum range that charges towards you in the direction that was cast.
  • Enemies hit will be slowed, take magical damage and have Brittle applied.
  • You can re-activate to dash and knock the Forge God in a target direction.
  • Enemies hit will be knocked up, take magical damage and have Brittle applied.

Starting Items

2033.png - Great starting item because you can buy items in lane!
3340.png - Don't forget to buy this before leaving base, change to 3364.png or 3363.png at level 9.

Core Items

3025.png - Personally, I think this is a fantastic item on Ornn. Get this if you are against AD heavy teams or are playing aggressive as it allows to stick to enemies while also providing a small boost of damage.

3001.png - Rush this if you need MR. You can also just get a causal 3010.png first for the mana and finish it later. If you require more MR you can upgrade into a 3379.png.

3111.png - Get this against teams with high magic damage or many crowd control effects.

Situational Items

3068.png - Provides great stats and a passive that suits Ornn's playstyle. Get 1031.png against high AD threats, otherwise get 3751.png. If you are against magical damage, consider one of the defensive options or rush a 3211.png or 1057.png and come back to this. If you require more Armor you can upgrade into a 3373.png.

3075.png - Take against full AD teams and/or you need Grievous Wounds.

3110.png - Rush this against AD enemies that build AS such as 39.png.

3143.png - Take this over 3075.png if you require defense against crits.

3190.png - Get this if your support isn't, I wouldn't upgrade to 3383.png over 3373.png or 3379.png because even though it costs less, the stats it gives will also be less.

3194.png - Rush this against AP enemies who deal damage over time such as 17.png, replace 3001.png.

3083.png - A great item especially if the enemy has no percentage health damage.

3109.png - Very useful item if someone on your team is getting singled out. Will also give much needed sustain so use the active on someone who will constantly deal damage (generally Marksmen).

3193.png - If you need both Armor and MR then look no further. As you will be in the thick of most battles you will get the full benefits or the passive and active.

3800.png - Get this after 3068.png if you feel like magical damage will not be a threat and you want to roam. The active is great for positioning your ornne.png and the stats provided are great, especially the mana.

What is Brittle?

Brittle is a new mechanic exclusive to 516.png. Only the last final flame of ornnw.png and ornnr.png can apply it. Once enemies are Brittle the mark can be consumed in two ways. First, exclusive to Ornn, a basic attack will consume the mark and knock back enemies. Secondly, hard CC will last longer (Brittle reduces Tenacity) and will deal bonus magical damage based on their maximum HP.

How do Masterwork upgrades work and when should I get them?

Everyone on Ornn's team can purchase an upgrade for either 1000 or 500 gold (see the Abilities section) but you and your team are limited to one Masterwork item each.

The upgrades are meant for the late game when you have full item builds, that is why they are locked until level 13.

Level 1

  • Use ornnw.png to zone or harass your opponent.
  • Basic attack after the final flame to use Brittle and knock back your opponent.
  • You can also save ornnw.png to shield yourself or block CC and then counter-attack.
  • Be careful when using ornnw.png consistently because it will push the wave.
  • Against ranged heroes, max ornnq.png first.

Level 2-3

  • If you hit level 2 first, you can be aggressive by using ornnq.png and following up with ornnw.png.
  • At level 3, you can proc your E in a variety of ways.
  • You can use your ornnq.png and ornne.png to the Magma Pillar created or if you have blocked them with the pillar, you can instead ornne.png the terrain and get more basic attacks in.
  • Remember to apply Brittle before you ornne.png.

Level 4-5

  • If your lane is going well, continue being aggressive with the previous steps, otherwise play it safe and use ornnw.png to block damage or CC.
  • Be mindful of the enemy jungler and whether they have CC you can block.
  • You can also use ornne.png as an escape.

Level 6

  • Unless you are confident of solo killing your opponent, I would save ornnr.png for ganking another lane or if your jungler is ganking for you.
  • You can also use this defensively to avoid death.

Level 7-13

  • Continue to pressure your opponent and keep 12.png ready to ganks or counter-ganks.
  • If ganking other lanes use ornnr.png at maximum range to ensure the slow hit and move forward to close the distance to dash forward and re-direct the Forge God to get the knock up.
  • Try to use ornnr.png or create pressure when it is up.
  • In lanes you can't lane against, stay under tower and clear with your basic abilities. If they freeze the wave, look to gank other lanes or farm your jungle.

Level 14-18

  • ornnr.png works the best in the jungle because there is no room to evade the Forge God if cast at the right angle.
  • His basic abilities are also great in the jungle and tight spaces.
  • If you are fighting in an open space, precise placement of your Magma Pillar is essential to get a knockup target for your ornne.png.
  • Aim to apply Brittle as much as possible on as many enemies as you can in team fights.
  • This is when you will want to upgrade into a Masterwork item.
