The reason why I didn't go for any points in the cunning tree for the 6332.png meditation mastery for Ornn's mana problems because you already have Blue Buff and will be buying Hunter's Potion which help you keep your mana up.



Ferocity

6114.png Sorcery - Ornn is an Ability based champion so this help you increase your damage with your abilities.

6123.png Expose Weakness - This will help Ornn's Teamfight and will synergize with his brittle as well since his teammates can CC people for longer and do damage to the enemy.

6134.png Natural Talent - Help give Ornn some extra damage to clear jungle, secure kills, make plays, etc.

6131.png Vampirism - Have a little bit of extra sustain in the jungle with early clears or first few clears.

6143.png Battle Trance - Helps you do better damage to enemies who are brittled and CC longer from brittle. Also I don't see any reason to take Double Edged Sword or Bounty Hunter since Ornn's playstyle is more of Full Tank/Tanky playmaker rather than a playstyle where he is trying to get or last for kills.



Resolve

6212.png Unyielding - Helps you out because Ornn builds full tank and is more helpful as you scale later on into the game with resistances from your items and also Unyielding synergizes with Ornn's ornne.png E Ability Searing Charge since it scales with Armor and Magic Resist which will increase his ornne.png E damage.

6223.png Tough Skin - Allows you to sustain better in the jungle especially against jungle camps with extra monsters like Raptors or Krugs.

6231.png  Runic Armor - Synergizes with your ornnw.png W Bellows Breath and makes your shield stronger.

6241.png Insight - Helps you have summoners spells up more such as Flash for playmaking and Smite for jungle camps and important jungle objectives(Baron, Dragon, Rift Herald).

6251.png Swiftness - Helps you not get kited easily since Ornn's mobility is not good to begin with and he is a lot slower as well.

6262.png Courage of the Colossus - I like to take this mastery to be more tanky but you can argue 6261.png Grasp of Undying is a good option as well since you are building tank and want to have a little more damage.

Ornn Passive

Passive allows Ornn to forge(Purchase non-consumable items from anywhere on the map) by simply opening the shop or using the forge menu above your items. However his forge can be canceled. Also his passive allows Ornn and his teammates to purchase upgraded items with his masterwork upgrade at the cost of some extra gold but YOU CAN ONLY UPGRADE ONE ITEM!


Tips 

1. Don't upgrade items too early into game as Ornn since it will delay other essential/core items you may need
but this means you do not have to upgrade late game but just simply be cautious when purchasing/upgrading items as Ornn or even if you're another champion on a Ornn's team.

2. Ornn can't forge trinkets or potions but interesting you can forge elixirs.

3. Don't forge near enemies obviously since the can cancel it easily.

4. Might be a good idea to simply back for trinkets, potions(Hunter's Potions, or if you're on Low Mana and HP if you can't find a way to get Health and Mana back without recalling.



Ornn Q

Ornn slams hammer into ground in target line which can slow enemies and then makes a pillar(terrain) after a few seconds of being casted.

Tips

1. Don't use Q in the jungle because you won't be able to use it's full potential with your ornne.png E Searing Charge knockup since the monsters won't be in range for the knockup when you aggro the camp and the monsters walk towards you going out of the knockup range.

2. Combo this with ornne.png E Searing Charge to get a knockup.

Ornn W

Breaths fire in front of him dealing damage and brittles enemies if they stay in the fire long enough. Gives him a shield and makes him unstoppable.

Tips

1. Don't use this while chasing or running away it will just slow you down...

2. Combo this with your teams CC so the enemy can be CC for longer durations.

3. Use this ability mostly after your  ornne.png E ornnq.png Q combo or when enemy is slowed/cc in general.

4. Brittle Allows you to CC enemies for longer and apply extra damage if auto attack or immbolize a brittled enemy.

Ornn E

Dashes foward. If he collides with Terrain then he knockups enemies within the area.

Tips

1. Combo this with your ornnq.png Q Volcanic Rupture for the knockup.

2. Time the dash from ornne.png E Searing Charge as the magma pillar(terrain) just spawns from the ground when using your ornnq.png Q ornne.png E Combo. This suprisingly catches enemies off-guard.

3. Fight near terrain so you can knockup enemies or force them towards terrain to CC them.

4. Use ornne.png E Searing Charge to your advantage in the jungle to kockup jungle camps since there is lots of terrain in the jungle. 

5. If you have champions such as Trundle or Anivia, combo your E with the terrain from their abilities to knockup enemies.

6. If you have champions like Vayne or Poppy try to use their abilities to your advantage when the CC enemies to wall with their abilities so you can dash in for the knockup.


Ornn R

First Cast - Goat/Elemental moves towards him in target direction slowing enemies and brittling them.

Second Cast - Must dash/collide with Goat/Elemental which will redirect into the target direction knocking up enemies/monsters/minionds in it's path.

Tips

1. Use this to engage teamfights

2. Recommend using practice tool to learn how to redirect ult on second cast since it can be quite challenging to maser.

3. Make sure you are not in a position to get CC by the enemy or you won't be able to do your second cast of your ult.

Tips

 
1. Don't Forget to Forge Items at any given oppurtunitty unless you need gold for Hunter's Potion on your first back.

2. Abuse items like Hunter's Potion mainly to keep sustaining from camps so you can not back/recall and forge items.
Other Items that help too with this strategy is Warmogs and Catalyst which provide lots of health regen and mana regen.

3. Don't Upgrade items too early because it delays other important items in your builds. However be cautious when choosing times to upgrade your item.

Jungle Clear


*Try to do a Full Clear 
*Don't want to gank too much
Why? Not the best ganks and you need items like Bami Cinder and Hunter's Potion to get things rolling. Also you need items to scale nicely into the Mid/Late Game.

Early Game and Mid/Late Game Back to Top

Early Game


- Want to farm up and gank if you can most likely get a kill/objective. However make sure you STILL HAVE PRESENCE ON THE MAP as a jungler (Pressure Lanes/Objectives, Warding, Clearing Wards, Counterjungling).

- Try not 1v1 the other jungler early on since Ornn is weak early and won't achieve much in a 1v1 against other junglers.

- Possibly try to start up fights when pressuring objectives such as Dragon/Rift Herald/Towers with ult as you get closer to Mid/Late Game and start applying Mid/Late Game Strategies. *Ward and Clear Wards when pressuring objectives.

Mid Game/Late Game


- Try to look for good engages using ult to start teamfights.

- Pick out enemies of catch them off guard with E,Q Combo 

- Use Righteous Glory To force engages with E,Q Combo then Ult 

- Pressure(Ward/Clear Wards/Group) and Start Fights around Objectives.

- Peel and try to be a big distraction in teamfights so you can soak up damage and brittle enemies so allies can CC them for longer durations. In other words, Engage then peel or catch carries out of position.

Other Tips


1. Build Mana Items. Can get mana hungry.

2. Build Full Tank. Resistances and Health will scales nice with his kit.

3. Great at Tower Dives. Use Q to close gap and knockup.

4. Use ultimate to chase down enemies.
