4.png - This is essential as she has no escapes.

6.png - Great for maneuvering in and out during team fights, essential for good positioning and escape. 

14.png - Take this if you feel you do not need a defensive summoner spell or you need Grievous Wounds.

1.png - Useful against ultimate abilities such as enchantedcrystalarrow.png or lissandrar.png, or basic abilities such as pickacard.png or elisehumane.png.

3.png - You can take this against champions such as 238.png or 91.pngwho will all in you at level 6 or can get within melee range of you.

21.png - A temporary shield that is useful against burst damage champions such as 134.png or 1.png.

7.png - Gives less HP than 21.png but you keep the HP and get a movement speed buff. If you presume the enemy will take 14.png or has inbuilt Grievous Wounds, do not take this.

Transcendant (Passive)

  • When maxed, each of Syndra's abilities gain an additional effect.
  • syndraq.png last an additional two seconds.
  • syndraw.png deals bonus true damage.
  • syndrae.png AoE is wider.
  • syndrar.png Cast range is increased.

Dark Sphere (Q)

  • A sphere is created at the target location (where your cursor is) deal AoE magical damage in a small area.
  • There is no cast time and it does not impede movement.
  • They last 6 seconds but can be manipulated with her other abiliites.

Force of Will (W)

  • On the first active, Syndra grabs a syndraq.png, monster or enemy minion for 5 seconds.
  • If it is a syndraq.png the duration will be refreshed, monsters or enemy minions will be put into a statis.
  • On the second active, Syndra throws what she has grabbed to a target area giving sight as it falls.
  • When the projectile lands, it will deal magical damage in the area and slow.
  • If you grabbed a monster or enemy minion, they will also be damaged.

Scatter the Weak (E)

  • Knocks back and damages all enemies in front of Syndra and syndraq.png based on how close they are to Syndra.
  • If a syndraq.png is knocked into an enemy, they will be stunned and take the damage from syndrae.png.
  • This damage does not stack if they are hit by the initial cast.

Unleashed Power (R)

  • All syndraq.png, including the 3 around Syndra are tossed at an enemy champion dealing magical damage.
  • After the cast, all syndraq.png will have their duration refreshed and remain on the ground.
  • Spell shields will only block the first instance of damage from the first sphere.

Core Items


Your priority when buildings items should be: 3070.png --> 3802.png --> 3003.png --> 3020.png --> 3916.png

This is what you should aim for in your games. We rush 3070.png because Syndra can stack it quickly and it helps immensely with clearing waves and therefore creating pressure. 3003.png is our first major pickup and will provide a euphoria of stats but it is important to keep track of when it turns into 3040.png as the active will absorb a decent amount of damage.

In most cases, 3020.png should be your priority but in some cases you will need to build defensively to counteract the enemy team composition or your opponent in lane. Against high AD teams go for 3047.png and against high AP and/or high crowd control team go for 3111.png.

Generally, 3165.png would only be built for Grievous Wounds but because it also has Spell Penetration, it is needed to maximise our burst. SImiliarly, 3135.png is built for the same reason but when to build it is dependant on your enemies items.

Situational Items


3089.png 3285.png

3089.png is great for raw damage and if the enemy is not building any MR. 3285.png is always a great option and can be built with 3040.png or alone. If you want to make an impact in the early game and will be roam heavy then this is a great choice.


3102.png 3157.png

The decision to get a defensive item will always depend on circumstance, however; if you require more defense for any reason you should prioritize these items over more DPS. 
  • Only build 3102.png against high AP teams, in most other cases there are better items.
  • 3157.png should only be built to counter certain champions such as 238.png or 91.png.

Level 1

  • Depending on who you're against, you can harass with syndraq.png, otherwise, focus on last hitting.

Level 2-4

  • Against most matchups you will skill syndrae.png.
  • If you are against melee you can skill syndraw.png and be more aggressive.
  • Save syndrae.png for ganks or being ganked, it's your only form of defense.
  • Once you have all three basic abilities, your combo can do a lot of damage and proc 6362.png. But as I said above, if you don't have syndrae.png, you can be easily ganked.

Level 5

  • This is where you can start to be aggressive before level 6 in preparation for syndrar.png. Make sure you keep enough mana everything at level 6.

Level 6

  • syndrar.png will allow to assassinate almost any champion in the game with proper preparation. Remember, the amount of damage it does depends on how spheres there are on the ground. But since it is early in the game, the amount we can have is limited.
  • At this stage of the game, it is best to hit all your basic abilities and then syndrar.png. If they are already missing HP, you can use your syndraq.png to setup the stun for syndrae.png instead of using it for damage.
  • Be mindful about your opponent's summoner spells, especially 21.png and 7.png

Level 7-8

  • If syndrar.png is on cooldown then your best option is to farm your lane.
  • If it isn't, pressure your opponent, look to gank or invade the enemy jungle.

Level 9

  • syndraq.png now has an eight second duration. With this and CDR (you should have around 25% at this point) you can get seven spheres for your syndrar.png by using syndraq.png off cooldown and using syndraw.png on the first syndraq.png you created.

Level 10-13

  • Nothing here really changes except more damage when you get syndrar.png at level 11 and the true damage from syndraw.png at level 13.
  • Always look for opportunities when syndrar.png is off cooldown.

Level 14-18

  • Your main focus should be assassinating whoever you can but the enemy ADC should take priority.
  • Your syndrae.png stun can be very influential so think quickly and carefully about you want to use it on a single target or save it. In some cases, you may want to save it for defense instead of offense.
  • Take note of enemy items such as 3157.png or abilities like judicatorintervention.png that can negate the effects of syndrar.png.
  • Regardless of how many syndraq.png you have for syndrar.png if you see an opportunity to kill someone, you should take it.
