Summoner Spells Back to Top

Always take Exhaust 3.png flash is always a good spell, but if you're planning on going aggressive early, take 7.png for more sustain since Taliyah is mushy early on.

Otherwise. always go 3.png4.png because flash will always save your skin if you use it right and flash with your Q could line you up to land all 5 rock shots.

7.pngVS4.png

Heal will definitely give you that early game edge, because you and your ADC will be able to be more aggressive. But heal always has a falling off point where late game it'll be rendered quite unnecessary unless you have some squishy teammates that heal could benefit(55.png | 21.png etc..) . If you are in a skype call with your ADC and can plan accordingly when to apply pressure, take heal.
Otherwise, flash is the way to go, always a useful spell that speaks for itself, and will allow Taliyah to flash into the perfect line of sight to land her Q flawlessly.

Masteries Back to Top

Your main goal as Taliyah Support is to manipulate enemy movement and dwindle them down enough for your ADC to really swoop in for easy pickups early game. Late game, your thunderlord and enemy movement manipulation will come into play even greater in team fights because you'll be able to W enemies into your E and smack them down with your Q. Which will allow your team to follow up on the damage you dealt and how you positioned the enemy.

Understanding your passive: latest?cb=20160521202705

Walking next to walls, turrets, inhibitors, anything solid basically when you're out of combat or not taking damage will allow Taliyah to lift a rock up from the ground and surf on it increasing her movement speed by 20%. and scales to 40% based on your level. This is especially useful for getting to lane faster, evading enemies if you didn't take flash, and overall map navigation

Q: latest?cb=20160521202755&format=webp

Your Q is kind of like Lucian's Ultimate, you can walk in any direction and fire 5 rocks into a path you have chosen. As support, you are to use then to poke, weaken, and intimidate the enemy. Using this as decent damage and pressure. BUT watch out! its very easy to steal kills from your ADC with this because you can't stop it. ALSO the area of effect of the rocks you throw are pretty big so you don't necessarily have to hit dead on target, and once a rock lands they do deal splash damage so be sure to fire it into clumps of enemies.

Once activated, your Q will form a circle on the ground, if you try to reactivate your Q to fire off another 5 shots in that circle, you will instead only shoot one rock for half damage at half the mana cost. Also, in this circle you gain a 10-20% movement speed boost. You cannot use your passive in these zones, if you are rock surfing and come into contact with these circles, your passive will stop and you will get only the movement speed buff from the circle. latest?cb=20160521202926&format=webp

W:latest?cb=20160521202732&format=webplatest?cb=20160521202911&format=webp

The reason i always put a point into my W first as support, is for early harassment. Nothing is more annoying than being throw into a direction and getting poked by the enemy ADC. which is why you'd use this ability to do just that. Your W will allow you to knock enemies into the air, BUT you can also aim your W into a certain direction of your choice and launch any enemies caught in its radius into that direction. Use this to launch the enemy forward towards you if they're hiding in bushes or behind minions, your ADC should take this opportunity to basic attack the enemy once or twice before they retreat back to shelter.

E: latest?cb=20160521202808&format=webp

This ability creates a decent sized cone of rugged terrain that slows enemies that walk through it and damages enemies caught in the radius of its initial cast. This is great to deter enemies chasing you and your ADC if you're both at low health retreating to turret, just shoot this behind you and fire your Q into the attackers and that should be enough to get them to give up. After 4 seconds, the rocks on the ground will shatter dealing damage and slowing enemies even more.

PRO TIP: using your E to create the rocks and shooting enemies into the rocks with your W will make the rocks shatter early to deal more damage and apply a massive slow. ALSO enemies like 236.png that can dash, if they dash while caught in your E, this will also cause them to shatter. So players who don't know this fact will basically cause self arm if they use their dash to get out of the rocks - remember this!

R: latest?cb=20160521202829&format=webplatest?cb=20160521202948&format=webp

Your ultimate will allow you to cast a giant wall to block off enemies (and teammates if you're not careful, plan before you use it please! no one appreciates a support who walls teammates off with a whole enemy team to be killed!) This ability needs to be channeled for 1 second before it actually creates the wall, during this period, if you press R again, Taliyah will hop on the wall and ride it till its end point, during any time you can hop off the wall on either side by right clicking. TIPS: Getting damaged will knock you off your wall! And spamming R to hop on while you're channeling the wall will sometimes not allow you to hop on! so remember to only press R ONCE to hop on after you've already pressed it. and you can destroy the wall prematurely by pressing R a 3rd time.

COMBOS!!!!

Damage = latest?cb=20160521202808&format=webp + latest?cb=20160521202732&format=webp + latest?cb=20160521202755&format=webp

Slows =latest?cb=20160521202808&format=webp  +  latest?cb=20160521202732&format=webp OR  latest?cb=20160521202732&format=webp + latest?cb=20160521202808&format=webp both orders work good but the first order does more damage if you can launch them into the rocks you laid on the ground with your E

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

Doran's ring will help with mana and poke damage early on. Potions for early sustain
This for extreme extreme aggression early on
for your first back to spawn, you should be able to get belt and a potion
    early damage items

Core Items

more tank! your sole purpose is to manipulate the enemies placement with your E & W & R so the more annoying you are to kill the better
and a little extra damage on top of your tankyines always helps
This flows well with your abilities too
I get the boots of Lucidity so i can get a little more ability spam, my passive makes me as fast as i need to be anyways
Extra health - this or deadmans would also work

Situational Items

Build this if you're going against a fed tank late game
