I'll go over the 10 most common matchups for each section. For other matchups, just extrapolate from the most similar ones on this guide.

Darius - Take 14.png for counter his Q healing and establish lane dominance.


Nasus - 14.png if you have an early game comp and need to win in lane phase. 12.png otherwise, so you can roam and still defend from his splitpushing.

Pantheon - 12.png, you will probably be recalling early, this helps you not fall behind in CS.

Riven - 14.png, since this is the only way you win if there's a level 2 all-in.

Yasuo - 14.png. Yasuo is deceptively weak early if you don't throw your Q into his windwall, use this + ignite to bull him. Stand on the side of your caster minions so he can't dash back easily.

Rumble - 12.png. You don't have much pressure early unless rumble is stupid. TP is way better post 20 minutes.

Cho'Gath - 12.png. To much HP for Ignite to be useful.

Malphite - 12.png

Jax - 12.png or 14.png are both equally good.

Garen - His healing is out of combat, so both 12.png and14.png are good.

6162.png for long fights (Darius, Cho, Garen, Malphite)

6161.png for lanes that you win simply by not losing (Pantheon)

6164.png for lanes where getting into AA range is dangerous, so your only trades are with Q (Rumble)

6362.png for everything else (Nasus, Riven, Yasuo, Jax)

Always max this order unless you're against Pantheon (2 points into E, then max Q for trades), or multiple On-Hit champions (max Q second).

Starting Items

    Matchup dependant. Doran's Ring for safe lanes or AP builds, Cloth Armor for Pantheon, Boots for Darius, Cho, and Garen, Shield for poke lanes, and Corrupting for everything else.

    Non-AP build AS items.
    AP // AS
    On-Hit kiting
    Best Tankmo items.
    Situational Boots. Go Sorcs for AP and Zerkers for On-Hit builds if you are ahead, otherwise go defensive boots.
    AP build items. Penetration is stronger for DFT, Gunblade and Ludens/Lich are stronger for TLD.

These are general builds, and only really exist in a 1v1 vacuum against these champions. Remember to make your build flexible depending on the state of the rest of the game. A general rule of thumb is to build utility and tankiness if you fall super behind, otherwise try to stick to mix of mostly damage with a little bit of utility. Always build at least one attack speed  item by the time you hit 3 items, otherwise your DPS will be crap.
