Summoner Spells Back to Top

4.png - Is the number one summoner spell for every champion so this has to be taken no matter what.

7.png - Obviously, this has to be chosen when you do go bot/adc as it helps your support and yourself + the               movement speed is also quite nice. Usually, you don't want to take this spell in the mid lane due to 14.png being very common, of course, there are occasions where your enemy won't have it but it's not worth the risk, also you don't get any benefits from healing an ally unless someone comes to gank you.

1.png - Now this is a summoner spell that can't be taken very often due to it having such a specific use, but I would recommend taking it against enemies such as 127.png because she heavily relies on her lissandraR.png to kill you. (check out the matchups section if you want to know when to use it)

21.png - Probably the best summoner for you in the mid lane because of all the burst. It also got buffed recently which makes it even better now and it is definitely noticeable. 

14.png - Now this is a summoner spell I never take to be honest but it is still worth a mention due to some players preferring it. If u play against immobile champions like 99.png or 101.png this might be a viable option.

12.png - This is something I would only ever take when I have a premade partner on top or bot as TP ganks can cheese out quite a lot.

6.png - Never take this to be honest, it barely gives you any advantages on 18.png due to you already having a lot of disengages.

Masteries Back to Top

These are pretty standard ADC masteries but these masteries are also pretty good on 18.png:

This mastery page uses Thunderlord's Decree instead of Fervor of Battle as 18.png can easily use this mastery for a quite huge burst in the early game. (the combo to easily pop Thunderlord's is detonatingshot.png-->tristanapassive.png-->tristanapassive.png) If u take this mastey always use Oppressor as you want to win the early game when you have Thunderlord's because the mastery itself scales badly into the late game on 18.png.


Why Fervor of Battle over Warlord's Bloodlust?

This is a valid question as many people probably think it's hard to stack up Fervor especially in the lane on 18.png as she barely spams any skills to get the double stacks BUT the passive of detonatingshot.png actually triggers Fervor so u can easily get stacks if your opponent stands near a dying minion. Also 18.png has quite a lot of attack speed which makes stacking up Fervor in a teamfight a piece of cake. (You also gain 2 stacks with detonatingshot.png itself so in a teamfight popping that bomb on max stacks gives u quite a lot of stacks already.)


Bounty Hunter or Oppressor?

The reason why I take Oppressor over Bounty Hunter is that your early burst is this combo: rocketjump.png-->detonatingshot.png-->rapidfire.png and this means that your enemy is cc'd over the duration of the combo so that's 2.5% extra dmg. But Bounty Hunter is also a good choice especially for the late game and when you go middle lane as you usually kill other lanes while u roam.

Why detonatingshot.png over rapidfire.png?

This answer to this question should be obvious to anyone that has played 18.png but I'll still explain why it is so important to max detonatingshot.png. First up, detonatingshot.png is very strong in the early game as it delivers a huge burst which people usually don't expect, during the mid/late game the strength of this skill changes from vs champions to vs towers, of course it still is quite strong vs champions but not nearly as strong as in the early game. The AD scaling kicks in during the mid/late game so your damage vs towers will now be insane so even putting the bomb on a tower and not getting it to max stacks will deliver quite a heavy blow to the tower itself and the minions next to it.
It also has to be mentioned that your DPS is actually lower when you skill rapidfire.png first simply because you lack the AD to outdamage the base damage of detonatingshot.png.


How to use detonatingshot.png correctly

Even though this skill is so basic people still tend to mess up with it as they do not think of everything that this skill has to offer. First of all, unless u are hard pushing towers always keep the bomb for the upcoming minion wave because a fully stacked bomb will clear the entire wave during the mid/late game which saves you a lot of time. Also you will always get tower aggro if you let this bomb explode on a tower with an enemy champion nearby, to avoid this simply walk away during the last auto attack because when the auto attack is mid flight it is registered and will hit the turret even if you walk away, this may take some practice to get it off every time. (of course once the bomb exploded walk back to the tower and auto attack it again)
Another thing people tend to mess up is the harass with the bomb as they simply put the bomb on the enemy and then walk away, but this is not worth the mana cost so make sure to always at least get one auto attack through.

 

The correct use of rapidfire.png

This skill can easily win you the teamfight as it massively increases your DPS so using it incorrectly can definitely lose you a fight. So when should you use it? you may ask because having it permanently ready for use or using it permanently as soon as it is ready is definitely not the correct way to use this skill. Usually, you want to use this skill to either push a tower, farm a minion wave quickly,to get an objective or fight an enemy champion but only one of these situations requires no real decision-making and that is the fight situation simply because that is the main reason why you even have to be careful when using it. So when to use this skill for any of the other situations? Well there are a few easy questions you have to ask yourself when you want to use it for those other situations.
1. How much vision around your position do you have? A lot/enough to know where the enemies are? If yes then use it.
2. Are any enemies nearby? And are any of them ready to abuse the fact that the skill is on cooldown? If yes then do not use it.
3. (when going for an objective/tower) Can we even fight back after we take this objective or do we have to rush it and then run away? If the answer is yes then do not use it.

Is one defensive item required?

No, 18.png's high mobility and good disengage tools allow her to go full on aggressive items + 3071.png and 3072.png offer quite a lot of sustain.

Why The Black Cleaver?

Now this is an addition I made to the normal Tristana build. 3071.png is really strong on ADC's atm (just look at 21.png and 236.png) due to it's recent buff it perfectly fits into a core build of an ADC that can use it properly, of course, the two previously named ADC's can abuse it the most but 18.png can make quite good use of it aswell due to her high attack speed. Also, in general the BC gives everything you need on an ADC, good AD, good HP, movement speed and not to forget TOTAL armor penetration for your whole team.

Your burst is absolutely nuts vs Bard simply because he is so squishy, try to abuse this. It's also very easy to avoid bardQ.png and bardR.png with your rocketjump.png.

It all depends on how good you are at dodging his rocketgrab.png. Remember that you can rocketjump.png away the moment the rocketgrab.png hits to avoid the powerfist.png.

Very annoying support as she won't let u engage but if she wastes her howlinggale.png u can usually get an easy kill. Just farm and push your lane into their tower to destroy it as quick as possible and then go onto other lanes.

Probably one of the easiest ADC's to play against as most of his skills are completely useless against you due to your rocketjump.png. He's also very bad if u hard engage him due to his reload mechanic.

Can be a real pain in the ass if she has a strong support for her ultimate. If not she shouldn't be too big of a problem

Her namiR.png and namiQ.png is easy to dodge with your rocketjump.png so she shouldn't be too big of a problem if you do pay attention to her.

He can easily interrupt your rocketjump.png so make sure to get hit by his nautilusanchordrag.png before trying to rocketjump.png away as you can use it while being pulled.

Her poke is quite strong but u can usually avoid her ball. I usually try to fight her when she is rather low on mana.

She can avoid most of your burst in the early game which makes her super annoying, it usually depends on your support if you can kill her or not.

If you late him get too much AP too quickly there is no chance that you win without finding a proper opportunity to engage on him while one of his spells are down.

Immobile and as with lux, if he misses his xerathmagechains.png he's a free kill.

You can usually knock him back right after he dashes through minions to get you which makes him an easy kill as he wont have any other enage and if he uses his yasuoW.png you can simply reposition yourself with rocketjump.png.

You have to win everything before level 6 to even have a chance against him during the mid game. Wait till he wastes his zedW.png and make sure to tell your jungler if he uses his zedW.png to farm or harass a lot.

Just depends on how good you can dodge, if you do well then he is a free kill.

Absolute terror... just try to farm as winning against her in lane requires a support that can lock her down well.

Support synergies Back to Top

The best supports

111.png - An absolute beast, he perfectly goes with 18.png as his lockdown capabilities make it easy for you to kill anyone you want.

53.png - If he lands his grabs well the lane is an easy win as it allows you to easily get 3-4 stacks of your bomb on the enemy.

412.png  - Same as with 53.png, he allows you to easily kill an enemy if he lands his grabs well.

12.png - Very good lockdown and he also has a strong disengage like you.

201.png - He also can lockdown the enemy quite a lot and his braumpassive.png is amazing with your rapidfire.png

89.png - The #1 if you want an easy lane... if she is good she will win you the lane nearly singlehandedly

44.png - His dazzle.png is very easy to land with your rocketjump.png so make sure to communicate with your Taric when to engage.

Good supports

117.png - If she is good she will singlehandedly win you the lane and probably the game as a full AP 117.png is absolutely amazing with 18.png.
143.png - She is good with everyone to be honest...

25.png - Good lockdown capabilities and probably belongs in the tier above if the enemy support relies on CC.

223.png - Quite a good frontline and offers a lot of safety and harass.

"Ok" supports

432.png - Can never really complain about a Bard due to him offering you quite some sustain but it's rather rare that he lands his bardR.png properly.
267.png - Offers a nice on-hit effect which is quite nice with your rapidfire.png but nothing too special to be honest.

37.png - A support that is never really bad due to her harass, sadly she doesn't go well with 18.png hard enages.

16.png - Her sustain is insane but sadly she barely offers more then that. The Silence/Root is usually quite good but other supports can usually root/stun the enemies a lot easier.

43.png - Has a nice harass and the shield also works quite well with you. In general, she either know how to land stuff and carries your lane or is completely useless.

"Might aswell go afk" supports

40.png - An awful support for 18.png as you don't really need more disengages but rather more harass on the enemy and good CC which she can't offer.

26.png - You barely need more movementspeed and it's rare that a Zilean lands a lot of stuns so all that makes him good is his harass and chronoshift.png.




When to pick Tristana? Back to Top

Now this is a question that is rather hard to answer as a one trick but these are usually the times when I go completely nuts with 18.png.


1. You have 117.png on the Top or Mid lane
  - Lulu makes Tristana an absolute unkillable monster with her buffs and allows you to easily carry the game singlehandedly.

2. Your team lacks AD
 - Tristana's insane DPS make her very good in any composition that lacks AD because of whatever reason. In general, there are not a lot of ADC's that can keep up with her DPS from such a safe range.

3. The enemy team is immobile
 - Tristana is excellent at kiting and has one of the highest attack ranges in the game which will make any immobile enemy champion rage quit the game.

4. You just want to play Tristana
 - This is prettymuch me.
