Summoner Spells Back to Top

Flash Exhaust are the usual support spells. Ignite is fine if you are against Soraka or other squishy enchanter. Ignite is also an excellent option if you are paired with high CC-carry or ADC who relies in snowballing early on.

New Runes Back to Top

Here are your options. Guardian is recommended, is allows you to block opponent damage from time to time when standing close to allies. Grasp is also a viable choise but you are rarely able to proc it unless when playing against melee support.

I did some experimenting with PTA as well, and it felt like an excellent option for support Trundle. You can proc it very easily since your Q is an auto attack reset and W which gives lots of attack speed. If you proc PTA-mark on someone and ult them, it causes them to take some serious damage from your teammates.

Font of life mastery allows you to use ardent censer, since that mastery still procs that item when allies attack marked opponents.

From tier 3 runes, any of those runes can work. If against AP-Mage its generally a better idea to pick mirror shell, if against adc with painful poke take iron shell. If you are against passive lane, take conditioning.

Overgrowth allows you to get a massive chunk of extra health when you arrive to late game, but it doesn't help you much during early game. Alternatively, you can take revitalize or second wind. Revitalize boosts your ultimate healing and healing recieved when standing in frozen domain. It also increases your passive healing. Second wind is great if against harass-heavy lane. Stand in frozen domain to maximize it's healing.

I really like inspiration tree personally as a secondary tree. This tree allows you to get free health pots ocassionally which helps trundle's weak laning phase. Hexflash is also a viable choise, it allows you to surprise your opponents by hexflashing from a bush or behind a wall and placing a pillar behind them. Magical footwear is a viable choise but i personally prefer to take future's market in order to be able to buy items earlier. Aproach velocity is excellent on Trundle. When you land your pillar, you are given a decent speed boost when running towards slowed opponents.

Trundle support is all about placing those pillars. By putting points on it, this ability's cooldown decreases and slow increases, up to 50% at max rank which is just a huge slow.

If you believe that you are gonna be fighting alot, maxing Q instead is viable since it greatly increases your damage output while decreasing enemy ADC's AD.

trundlepassive.pngPassive: King's Tribute

When an enemy unit dies near Trundle, he heals for a percent of its maximum Health.

Health percent restored: 2/3/4/5/6% of target's maxinum health increasing with level.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kind of boring but really efficient passive, which allows you to remain in the lane for really long periods of time. This ability's healing increase depending on their max health, which means that you get huge chunk of health back every time when champion, dragon or even Baron Nashor dies nearby.

trundletrollsmash.pngQ: Chomp

Trundle lunges at his opponent with his next basic attack, dealing 20/40/60/80/100 (+80/90/100/110/120% Attack Damage) physical damage and briefly slowing his target. This attack increases Trundle's Attack Damage by 20/25/30/35/40 for 8 seconds, with his opponent losing half of this amount.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Every ADC's worst nightmare, this ability is an auto attack reset which steals AD from target enemy. This ability is on very low cooldown, and it's your main damage tool.

When you are taking down towers, this ability does reset your auto attack but it doesn't give you extra AD anymore. Chomp a nearby minion before you start taking out towers.

trundledesecrate.pngW: Frozen Domain

Trundle coats target location with ice for 8 seconds, gaining 20/25/30/35/40% Movement Speed, 20/35/50/65/80% Attack Speed and 20% increased healing and regeneration from all sources.

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You're in my kingdom now! Pretty straight forward battle steroid. This ability has multiple uses. If you roam to mid or jungle, use this to get speedboost when you need to land an important pillar on them. If you are fighting opponent botlaners, use this to increase your attack speed. If you are wounded, drink a potion and use this in order to increase your healing by 20%. This healing also increases your passive healing and relic shield heal.

trundlecircle.pngE: Ice pillar

Trundle creates an icy pillar at target location for 6 seconds, becoming impassable terrain and slowing all nearby enemy units by 30/35/40/45/50%.

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Your most important ability. This ability creates a zone which slows all nearby enemies for a huge amount. Use this pillar in order to start fights, peel for your carry or seperate opponents from each other. Stoneborn pact is godlike with this ability, since this item's slow marks them with stoneborn's mark as long as they keep standing in the slow zone. See Advanced pillar tactics for more information.

trundlepain.pngUltimate: Subjugate

Trundle drains 20/27.50/35 (+2% Ability Power)% of an enemy champion's maximum Health as Magic Damage and 40% of their Armor and Magic Resist, half immediately and half over 4 seconds. The Armor and Magic Resist is returned 4 seconds after the drain ends.

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Suffer not a tank to live. Choose an opponent and now 40% of his resistances are yours, you also drain their health which usually is enough to make you unkillable as long as you are standing on frozen domain. This ability is godlike when dealing with divers, assassins and tanks since you make them squishier for multiple seconds, thus making it easier for your carries to kill them.

This ability and your pillar makes you a godlike tower diver, you drain their health to you, target becomes really vulnerable against your carry's attacks and pillar keeps them stuck in one place.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

Relic shield should be your starting item, it grants you early health regenation which stacks nicely with your passive.
Refillable potion is recommended. If up against extremely toxic harass lane like Zyra Caitlyn, feel free to take pots.

Core Items

Some early purchases. Since FOTM is now removed from the game, buy knight's vow instead.
Really good and cheap support tank item. This item is basicly like old bond of stone, you mark an ally and it directs some damage your ally takes to you. Also, 12% of that ally's damage is converted to your health, ardent boosts this healing and that healing is even stronger if you are standing on frozen domain.
The rest of your items are situationals, choose them wisely.
Couple of boot choises, i always prefer swifties because they allow you to catch opponents off guard. Also unlike mobis, their speed is always up, if you are caught on bad position yourself you can pretty much outrun anyone while you are standing in frozen domain.
My general core items for tank support.
Keep one control ward on the map at all times. If someone on your team has sweeping lens already, you can go ahead and buy blue trinket instead.
ADC's DPS maximizer. You need to have font of life to make ardent work however.

Situational Items

If the opponent team has atleast 3 auto attack reliant champions, this item becomes a great pick. Grants some really good stats on top of that.
Speed is a really good stat on Trundle, with it you can use your pillar on opponents to catch them on bad positions more often. This item also grants health and some damage, so this item is a really good option.
More shields, the merrier. If laning phase fails, buy this instead of ardent censer since this item's defensive stats are put to good use when behind.
Nerfed way too hard. Right now i actually recommend to get banner instead, it pushes way further than nerfed zzrot. If you are losing, this item is still better than banner at slowing down minion waves.
More selfish version of Frozen heart, this item grants a helpful aoe slow and really good health and armor stats, on top of that this item reduces critical hit damage by 10%. If opponent ADC managed to get fed, this becomes a really good item.
Really good tank utility item. Grants you an ability to start teamfights as well, when this item is activated you run really fast while standing on frozen domain.
This item has a really helpful active, and if you have stoneborn pact keystone, this item's healing increase will increase that keystone's healing. If your team happens to have nobody who autos to deal damage, replacing ardent with this is a fine option.
Really good offensive tank item, it grants you lots of stickiness.
An item which i ocassionally buy, it makes you autos to slow for 40% lasting for 1.5 seconds. This item is really good if you are dealing with slippery opponents like Lee sin or Singed.
Reworked. Zeke's new active works decently with Trundle, you got a very short cooldown in your ultimate so you can activate this item really often. It also grants you a slow aura which makes you proc your stoneborn pact on nearby opponents.
When opponents have mostly magic damage reliant champions, this item becomes a really good choise. Healing recieved from your frozen domain stacks with this item, resulting in you getting 40% more healing from all sources while standing in frozen domain.
When you are dealing with mostly attack damage reliant champions.
If opponent team has too much hard crowd control abilities, this item comes in handy.
If you feel brave and adventurous and you managed to get ahead with plenty of gold, here's an expensive item which still grants big load of health and good amount of combat damage.
If you have font of like mastery and your team has 2 or more auto attackers, buy this. Your pillar is fantastic at keeping font of life marks on them, and this item procs with that rune. This item now grants you attack speed and on-hit damage when your allies proc your font of life!
Early game

Early game is usually the toughest part for Trundle, he is vulnerable against poke and his pillar costs lots of mana and it has really long cooldown. However on favorable matchups Trundle is able to start kicking ass already on early game since his early game damage is really high. You should start playing agressively if opppnents have a utility or melee support and/or unmobile carry.

Mid game

This is the part where you should have almost fully maxed pillar and FotM ready. When you reach this point, you are extremely hard to kill and your passive should be finally able to heal you for decent amounts. Since your pillar has a decently low cooldown, you can roam to help your team to get kills or stay with your carry. Just remember to tell your carry when you decide to roam.

End game

This is the best part for support Trundle. Once the end game arrives, you are pretty much unkillable, your pillars have 9 second cooldown and your ultimate is available on every fight. Once the end game starts, you can either be a really tanky frontliner who makes divers really squishy, or iniator if opponents have unmobile carries.

VS

Alistar

Easy
This matchup is somewhat reliant on his ADC, if he has an unmobile carry you can use you pillar on them to stop them from following up on his iniations. If he has a more mobile carry like Caitlyn or Lucian, they can dash through your pillar but they are still slowed quite alot.

Dealing with good Alistar on early game can be slightly challenging since there is not much you can do if he iniates on you or your carry except attempt to use your pillar to his adc to stop him from following up.

His pulverize.pngheadbutt.png abilities are on really high cooldown on all stages, force a trade on him using your pillar while they are on cooldown.

You beat him once he gets his ultimate since according to Phreak, trundle's trundlepain.png actually steals damage reduction stats.

VS

Annie

Easy

She is really unmobile so you can corner him with your pillar anyday. I recommend to try force trades on early game, she can't do much if she is on low health since you can pillar her with ease if she tries to poke.

Keep an eye on her movement pattern, it should be obvious when she is gonna try to poke you. Use this knowledge to your advantage and put a pillar behind her.

She gets pretty dangerous once she gets her ultimate.

VS

Ashe

Easy
Not much to say about her to be honest, she is an ideal ADC for trundle to play against. Very unmobile.

Since Ashe is unable to crit but crit increases her damage output, buying randuin's omen decreases her damage dealt on you quite alot.

After she gets her ultimate, she is really good at setting up ganks. Try to get sightstone before she gets her ultimate.

Did you know?

When you ulttrundlepain.png Ashe, trundle actually says Run, Ashe.

VS

Bard

Easy

He is really squishy and unmobile, and thus easily cornered with your pillar. However, know that if you corner him next to wall he can use his tunnel to get onto safety. I recommend to try corner him in bot lane's two side bushes since he can't use his tunnel there to get away.

He is able to deal some poke damage with his meep passive and cosmic binding, respect those abilities. Don't stay behind minions and try to keep your distance from your own carry as well since he might be able to stun both of you.

Great at setting up ganks with his tunnel and ultimate, ward wisely and warn your teammates when he leaves to roam.

VS

Blitzcrank

Easy

You are really tanky, you should be eating his hooks for your carry if you happen to be supporting an unmobile ADC. If he hooks you, you can easily force trades.

He is unmobile and although he is a tank, he is really squishy on early game. Force trades on him.

Your ultimate absolutely destroys him.

VS

Brand

Hard

His poke is respectably powerful, but he however is really squishy and unmobile.

If he is being too big of an annoyance to you in early game, it's fine to just farm and play safely on early game. You can all in him with ease once you get your ultimate.

He lacks crowd control, he only has one 1.5 stun skillshot in his Q but even then the target needs to be ablaze in order for it to stun, iniate when Q is on cooldown.

VS

Braum

Easy

You can use your pillar with ease to block his iniations. He is really good at protecting his ADC. If you pillar his ADC he can just use his shield to stop all your damage. He might force you to play early game passively but your ultimate is great against him.

Avoid forcing trades with him when his braumw.pngW is ready, he can just leap onto his carry or allied minion.

VS

Caitlyn

Hard

The most obnoxious kind of ADC to play against. Really long attack range, quaranteed criticals, long ranged ultimate.

She tends to control bushes with her yordle snap traps, watch your steps when walking around in bushes.

She can use her 90 caliber netcaitlynentrapment.png to dash through your pillar.

Randuin's omen3143.png is a great item against her.

VS

Corki

Easy

Not much to say about him, he can use his W to dash away from your pillar. Force a trade with your pillar when his W is on cooldown.

VS

Draven

Medium

His damage alone is enough to make this matchup a bit challenging. He is unmobile and you can easily guess where he is gonna go due to his Q minigame.

If he has a tanky iniator support, it might be a good idea to save your pillars for him in order to stop him from following up.

His W bloodrush is not enough to get him onto safety from your pillar slow.

This matchup can be hard if he happens to have one of these supports due to their displacement abilities. 412.png12.png53.png

VS

Ezreal

Medium

He has an obnoxious long ranged poke ability which he can use to farm from long distance in order to farm. His E is basicly a free flash, you can basicly only attempt to engage on him is when his E is on cooldown.

VS

Janna

Easy

She is squishy but top tier support at peeling. Engage on her when her shield is on cooldown, or her carry if she happens to be protecting an unmobile ADC.

Her ultimate is great at stopping engages, so engage on her when her ultimate is on cooldown.

VS

Jhin

Medium

He is pretty annoying to deal with, he has good crowd control abilities and good poke. He is really unmobile though.

If their bot lane is going to engage, use your pillar on him t412.pngo halt him from following up.

He is great at setting up ganks with his W and R, keep vision up.

He is extremely unmobile.

This matchup gets harder if he has one of these supports with him. 12.png53.png412.png

VS

Jinx

Easy

She is really unmobile and lacks CC as well.

VS

Kalista

Medium

VS

Karma

Hard

She is basicly support version of Caitlyn, always a huge pain in the ass. She has low CD poke, CC and utility. She is however squishy and unmobile like other mage supports.

If you are confident, you can try to corner her with your pillar and force a trade on her. She has no way to protect herself, her slow doesn't help much unless she mantra Q's and her root takes a while before it roots.

If she is stomping really hard, it's fine to try to just survive early game, you will outscale her.

VS

Kayle

Easy

VS

Kog'Maw

Easy

Easiest ADC to deal with. Unmobile and slow, give him hell on early game.

VS

Leona

Medium
She is tanky, and she likes to fight.

Use your pillar on her carry when she iniates in order to stop them from following up.

She is good at setting up ganks. Vision is important.

When you get your ultimate, you melt her with ease. If you use your ultimate while her W is on her, you steal this ability's bonus armor and MR.

Did you know?

If you ult Leona, Trundle says "Sunlight, really?". He is referring to trolls in Lord of the rings, which are turned onto stone if sunlight touches them.

VS

Lucian

Easy

Kind of generic ADC, not much to say. He can use his short dash to go through your pillars.

VS

Lulu

Medium

She is hot pick right now in the current meta. She is really annoying to deal with in general due to her high utility.

Since you are really tanky, you are able to take her poke well. Due to her low mobility, you can force trades on her too. Just watch out for that polymorph.

When you engage on her carry or Lulu herself, allow her to ult the target first, and then follow up with your own ult. Your ultimate deals health percent damage and her ult increases target's health, this increases your ult damage by fair amount.

VS

Lux

Easy

VS

Malphite

Easy

VS

Malzahar

Medium

(Testing required)

He is really good versus fighter and tank supports because of his voidlings. You can use your pillar to stop him from channeling his ultimate. He is really unmobile.

VS

Miss Fortune

Easy

She is really unmobile but she does have really annoying poke and high damage. You can interrupt her ultimate with your pillar.

VS

Morgana

Hard

This matchup is hard, only because of her damn black shield. It completely blocks your pillar slow. Engaging on her or her carry is tricky even if black shield is on cooldown due to her root.

VS

Nami

Medium

Can be a bit of a hassle to deal with due to her powerful laning phase. She is really unmobile but she has good crowd control and sustain.

I recommend to try force trades on her on early game, pillar her or her unmobile carry and use your frozen domain to avoid her bubble. When she gets her ultimate, engaging becomes a bit more dangerous since they can actually turn the fight on you with her ultimate and almost quaranteed bubble stun.

VS

Nautilus

Medium

He is the alpha of all league tanks. He has the most CC in league of legends basicly.

Nautilus can use his dredge line on terrain to get onto lane faster, your pillar is counted as terrain so you can use pillar to stop him from hooking your ADC.

Your ultimate is really good versus tanks, and nautilus is one of them.

VS

Nidalee

Easy

VS

Orianna

Easy

VS

Sion

Easy

Pillar is his worst nightmare. Pillar stops him from engaging on early game, pillar stops him from channeling his Q and you can even use pillar to stop him from ulting. Even if he manages to get onto your carry, your ultimate destroys him. Just watch out for nasty after death surprise.

VS

Sivir

Easy

She is one of the easiest ADC's to deal with. Sure, she can spellshield your pillar knockback but not the slow.

VS

Sona

Medium

Super squishy but fairly good utility and sustain and obnoxious poke. As long as you manage to get through laning phase in one piece, you are gonna destroy her.

VS

Soraka

Medium

Your pillar has huge range, so you can actually use it to corner Soraka who tends to sit behind her carry nonstop. Taking ignite is recommended on this lane only.

Once you get your ultimate and you happen to have a mobile carry or Ashe, you can slow her, melt her few armors off and then take her out really fast.

VS

Tahm Kench

Easy

Really tanky annoyance, but since you are Trundle who doesn't give a damn about tanks, this matchup is not that difficult.

He can eat his carry if you corner them with your pillar and run to safety, it might be a good idea to corner him instead and focus him instead and back off if his carry tries to interfere.

He is actually pretty good at setting up ganks, if you are pushing the lane and Tahm is missing, he might be nearby channeling his ultimate and waiting for his jungler to hop on. He can then teleport behind you with his jungler.

He is also good at roaming, warn your allies when he is missing.

VS

Taric

Easy

Taric likes to build armor, and Trundle will shred them from him.

VS

Thresh

Medium

On certain matchups he can be challenging.

If you are really good with your pillar, you can actually use your pillar's knockback to stop him from flaying onto your carry or other teammate.

He is kind of squishy and unmobile, force trades on him. Your ultimate makes him even squishier.

Watch out when he is paired with one of these ADCs. 429.png119.png236.png

VS

Tristana

Medium

She has one of the best get out of jail abilities in the game, her rocket jumptristanaw.png.

Avoid prolonged fights with her, her bomb gets stronger if she gets to stack it with her autos. She is also really bursty with her ultimate.

Attempt to engage when her rocket jump is on cooldown.

VS

Trundle

Hard

Brace yourselves, fight of the Alpha trolls is about to occur.

Did you know?

If current Trundle uses his ult on Traditional Trundle, current Trundle will say "Who does this guy think he is?"

VS

Twitch

Easy

He has really weak early game, make his early game hell so he won't be coming back.

Avoid staying in the lane alone, he can use his sneak to ambush you.

VS

Varus

Medium

He has relatively long auto attack range and really annoying poke. He can also root you for quite a while with his ultimate, and his W stacks cause % health damage.

He is unmobile.

This lane gets harder if he has a peeler/poke mage or utility mage with him, things like 26.png117.png43.png.

VS

Vayne

Easy

She is really squishy, and unlike other ADC's with dashes, she can't dash through your pillar. She suffers from weak early game, give her hell on early.

She shouldn't be too much of a problem even after she gets her ult, since your armor shred causes your carry to deal shit ton of damage on her.

VS

Vel'Koz

Medium

He is the equivalent of Varus as a support, an artillery mage with lots of soft CC and superior range. He also deals true damage.

You can interrupt his ultimate, interrupting it might not be possible since he might know to ult from good distance.

VS

Zilean

Medium

Playing against a good Zilean is a miserable experience. ( I can tell because i main Zilean)

He suffers from weak early game, force trades on him on early game.

Avoid fighting with him for too long since he has his ultimate, unless you got more people fighting with you than opponent bot laners.

Your pillar is really good tool to stop reviving targets from fleeing, block their escape route with it when revive process is about to end.

VS

Zyra

Hard

She is a complete nobrainer champ. She deals shit ton of damage with her plants. Still, same rules apply to her. She is really unmobile and if her root is  on cooldown, she has no ways to peel for herself or her carry.

Support Trundle's Pros and Cons Back to Top

trundlepain.pngProstrundlepain.png

He is one of a kind champion who steals stats, he steals AD with his Q trundletrollsmash.pngand armor MR and hp with ultimatetrundletrollsmash.png.

He gets free health every time when nearby enemies die, including minions and monsterstrundlepassive.png. This gets stronger when you stand on frozen domain.trundledesecrate.png

He makes tanks, divers and assassins extremely vulnerable with his ultimate.

His frozen domaintrundledesecrate.png grants him lots of free stats, including attack speed, movement speed and increased healing from all sources, so basicly a free spirit visage.

New stoneborn pact is godlike on Trundle support.

He deals respectable amounts of damage with no damage items at all, his damage is especially high on early game.

His dance is spammable and hilarious.

He is godlike at diving.

He is really easy to play.

Pillar makes it easier for your teammates to land skillshots and other important abilities.

Since his pillar has a huge range, even though he is simple to play he can still make unpredictable pillars.

His ultimate has really short cooldown, it's basicly up everytime when fighting needs to be done.

Unknown, he used to be flavor of the month year or two ago but he has once again become a dark horse.

trundlepassive.pngConstrundlepassive.png

Tends to have a mediocre early game, especially against poke champions.

His pillar's knocback is his only hard CC.

Morellonomicon and Executioner's calling hinder his ultimate and passive health regen quite alot.

His pillar is 90% of his crowd control, his Chomp does have a microslow which procs Stoneborn Pact but that slow lasts only like 0.30 seconds.

Literally a troll support, you might be harassed for your pick. Just mute the metaslaves and carry the game.

ADC synergies Back to Top

Diamond Tier Synergy

22.pngLorewise, Ashe Trundle would be kind of ironic lane, but they actually fit really well together. Ashe has her slows, and so does Trundle. Ashe's ult is fantastic at setting up fights, and trundle pillar makes sure that there is no escape. Trundle pillar makes it much easier for ashe to land ultimates.

110.pngLiterally the same stuff with Ashe, except with more poke. Unlike Ashe, Trundle needs to do the iniation when paired with Varus, but a good pillar means quaranteed to land varusr.png unless opponents know to flash away just in time. Varus deals mixed damage, so your armor shred causes him to deal more damage with his varusw.png.

222.pngThis lane is great too, your pillar + her chompers cover so much area, opponents are generally forced to flash away in order to avoid getting chain cc'ed. Your pillar allows her to land her jinxw.png andjinxr.png much easier.

429.pngIn my opinion the best laning partner with Trundle. Her ultimate grants you a bit more CC, your own ultimate allows her to shred through their defences with her spears. Her ultimate + your pillar means that targets have no escape whatsoever. She also really likes attack speed, so Ardent Censer3504.png + Stoneborn pact is a great combo when you are supporting Kalista.

Platinum Tier Synergy

42.pngYou both have huge armor shreds, really corny but safe lane. Your pillar makes it easier for him to land missiles. He deals lots of hybrid damage, so he is really going to like your ultimate.

21.pngMiss Fortune is really annoying at poking, your pillar allows her to land her double ups easier. You can also iniate short fights where she can proc her passive with auto and double up, and then back off. Well placed pillar keeps them standing on her ultimate zone.

81.pngI like Ezreal Trundle. This lane is where a good Ezreal is rewarded greatly, he gets plenty of health back every time when he lands his Mystic Shot on targets which has been marked by stoneborn pact. He also deals both magic and physical damage, so he likes your ultimate. Pillar makes it easier for him to land his skillshots. Iceborn Gauntlet Ezreal and Trundle have slows for days.

51.pngShe has superior auto attack range, she gets to heal quite alot by attacking stoneborn pact marked enemies from long distance. Very powerful and supressive laning phase.

Gold Tier Synergy

236.pngGreat at following up on your iniations. Safe laner. His double shot passive synergises well with your armor shred ultimate.

18.pngSafe laning parter. You two have a really strong level 6 all in, place pillar behind enemy carry and ult, she jumps in and starts stacking her bomb and then ults to finish them off.

119.pngThis lane is a bit risky, but if you manage to pull Draven Trundle off, results can be an endless snowballing which might win you the game. This lane is great versus unmobile bot laners, but loses versus high poke or peel.

67.pngEarly game might be a bit rough, but if you manage to allow Vayne to farm safely, you will outscale technically any bot lane. She can condemn opponents onto your pillarstrundlecircle.pngvaynecondemn.png.

Silver Tier Synergy
15.pngWeak laning partner, however her ultimate speedup might allow you to make important pillars.

29.pngThe only good thing about this lane is the fact that he can go to sneak mode, and then ambush them when you land an important pillar. Otherwise, this lane is kind of weak, but if you manage to get to late game you are going to be just fine.

Bronze Tier Synergy

96.pngKog'maw requires way too much CC to be kept safe and alive. You only have your pillar, chomp slow and exhaust. Not saying that it can't work though, kog would love your armor shred.

Advanced Pillar Tricks Back to Top

Cornering opponents between wall and a pillar

This trick is one of the most efficient ways to get picks as a Support Trundle. This only works if opponent is walking really close to a wall. You place your pillar so that opponents need to circle around it in order to escape. In order to do this, your pillar's hitbox needs to touch the wall, thus creating kind of like an extension to that wall.

Here's a perfect example of it, if they try to move through that gap they will be literally stuck. I know this was made on ally but same physics apply to everything.

Knocking opponents back with pillar

In order to do this, you need to land the pillar so that it's inner part hits the opponent. If done right, this will knock them backwards towards you. If done right, it will actually knock them away from you, i recommend to practise doing it in practise tool.

Using pillar to knock back channeling opponents is way easier, since it generally doesn't matter at what direction is he ending up, as long as that Kata or Fiddlesticks ultimate is canceled.

Halting movement command

If you place your pillar well enough, it's actually possible to stop opponent's movement command completely, thus rooting them momentarily.

Here's an example of this.
Seperating opponents from your teammates

If Kha'zix, Aatrox or other diver jumps onto your carry, this trick might save their asses. Aim your pillar between the opponent champion and your teammate, and it will seperate them, thus giving your teammates some free room to breath safely.

Ending Credits Back to Top

Hello, i am Dumbledore Bot, diamond 5 flex pick support player on EUNE. Off meta support are my speciality. Support Trundle is one of my favourite off meta supports, playing him always cheers me up. He is really easy to play, although his pillar has plenty of things it can do.
