Summoner Spells Back to Top

You run TP to save time when jungling, counter gank, do objectives literally the second they spawn, and homeguard bearstun obliterate somebodies behind. This gets you going right off the bat and will let you duel most junglers since you will likely have item and level advantage. With tp and literally twice their farm you'll end up being able to out duel a lot of conventional junglers.

Smite tips - NEVER use it early when taking objectives, always smite buffs when taking them, otherwise smite asap on jungle camps or creeps that you might miss under turret when holding lanes.

Passive adds attack speed and a little bit of movespeed that stacks 3 times. You don't normally need to micro this since you're typically spamming bear stance anyways, but you should keep an eye on it and make sure you keep the 3 stacks up. Just a tip - When you're readying for a camp to spawn or for drag/baron to spawn you should stack up your passive before it spawns for maximum dps.

Q tip (lol) - You can charge your Q 5 seconds'ish before any camp spawns (jungle timing ability comes in handy here) so that you can proc your q DoT twice. Also your Q goes through magic damage spellshields.

W can be used to with q to help siege down turrets faster and mitigate damage.

E has a dash, will cancel that blue pill's last second of damage immunity, can be used on multiple targets, and has in internal cooldown of 5 seconds. Make sure you position yourself in front of a running enemy when you stun them, and orb walk accordingly.

R does extra aoe magic damage on it's first hit and every 3rd hit afterwards and does some pulsating magic damage.

You're rotation normally is E to get closer and stun, Q to add the DoT, and R to do the extra burst. You could do it the other way around too. R first after Em and then finish with the DoT on the Q when the enemy player realizes you do WAY too much damage for them to handle and flashes, only to die anyways.

Starting Items

I like to get lens asap since I can disable wards with it when ganking, and usually rush objectives asap before people expect me to take them. I like to get spirit stone AND feral flare because it makes my objective control insane. Spirit stone is something I am still considering. If you get madreds and spirit stone together you can solo dragon at about level 6. (Which makes the game a LOT easier since you'll have the exact timer on it and can solo it in about 8 seconds whenever it comes back up every other time afterwards.

Build Notes

2004_32.png A mana pot or two is worth considering since your mana costs are ridiculous early on but since your mana costs scales down as you put points in your abilities you'll gradually become less and less mana dependent.

3111_32.png Mercury's are usually mandatory, sometimes you can get swiftness boots instead for more speed and less powerful slows.

3078_32.png Triforce will make you hit like a semi truck that's being rear ended by a freight train.

3110_32.png Frozen heart gives you a nice boost to your cdr that lets you rotate through your combos faster, and gives a nice little aura that is always useful and racks up a healthy load of armor.

3065_32.png Spirit Visage gives you more cdr, lots of regen, and will synergize with spirit stone, feral flare, your turtle stance and any other heals.

3143_32.png Randuins keeps the enemy team in range so that you can slap them to death.

3102_32.png Banshees is good vs heavy magic damage comps after your spirit visage.

3172_32.png Zephyr turns you from man bear pig into tornado man. (It's a high damage item that I usually build last.)

3190_32.png Locket is for if you're up against some serious aoe magic damage.

3075_32.png Thornmail is for punishing noob teams that went 3-5 ad auto attacking champions.

3068_32.png Sunfire is for punishing them even harder.

3153_32.png Bork is mostly for funzies. I haven't tried it much yet, but I imagine it's great vs teams that stack hp. Just watch out for armor stacking - this item is heavily countered by that.

3267_32.png Furor is sometimes needed to keep up with kiting enemies.

VS

Amumu

Easy

Take your buff, then walk into his jungle take his second buff, take your third, then proceed to slap this guy to death all game long. You're better than this guy at pretty much everything.

VS

Elise

Medium

Most Elise's are bad and all Elise's don't farm well. You'll outscale her and out duel her. She's a good ganker and turret diver though, but the clock is on for her and if she can't make enough plays, you're going to end up very VERY ahead.

VS

Evelynn

Hard

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT USE THIS BUILD VS EVE. YOU WILL LOSE ALL OF YOU'RE LANES AND YOU'RE TEAM'S KDR WILL BE SOMETHING LIKE 2/30. THE TIME YOU SPEND JUNGLING IS THE TIME SHE'S GOING TO FACEROLL ALL YOU'RE LANES WITH HER STUPID INVISIBILITY.

Play a normal Udyr that runs flash with dueling masteries, and don't go spirit stone. Play the way Nightblue taught you. Countergank, fight the 2v2, assist your lanes, teamfight, and scale with your team. Deep wards will help your lanes tremendously since you can see which direction she goes after she does camps which relieves pressure, as well as popping down pink wards that will block her gank attempts.l

VS

Galio

Easy

Tip - Use bear stance when you know he wants to ult your team.

VS

Kayle

Hard

So much kite..................

VS

Lee Sin

Easy

Ahhh, Leesin's hard counter..... This guy can't do f all to you. Start at one of his buffs (go in about 1:57 when the laner on guard leaves to their lane), secure the other two, then steam roll him the rest of the game. Get some armor early so he can't burst you with his dragon kick.

VS

Nocturne

Medium

This guy is tough solely because of his ultimate. He can put out a lot of pressure in lanes because of it every few minutes after he hits 6, but other than that he's extremely weak compared to this Udyr. You'll face tank him and outduel him at every single point in the game after the early phase of the game, and you'll be much more useful than him in teamfights. You can easily pop his shield then stun him as well.

VS

Rammus

Easy

To weak at everything now. You'll steam roll him.

VS

Shyvana

Medium

Shyvanna farms as fast as you even without teleport, she might even get dragon down by herself sooner than you. Just know that no matter what kind of lead she gets on you, you two are almost the exact same kind of jungler, but you're more useful in teamfights since you have low cooldown hard cc and all your spells are low cooldown. DO NOT duel her early. (Dueling with this build early is typically a bad idea. You have kinda have nasus syndrome where you're weaK and when you get your triforce you become wtf strong.

VS

Vayne

Hard

Ban this champion if you want to play Udyr.

VS

Warwick

Easy

Stun him off his ult, counter jungle the living hell out of him, out duel him, outrun him if you find him, out damage him.

VS

Xin Zhao

Medium

Invade him early, find out which buff he starts and start at the other one at 1:57ish (This is usually about the time the toplaner leaves the buff unprotected to go to lane). If he invades you early game you're dead, so you need to out mindgame him and secure your lead early. Getting armor early on after your madreds/wriggles will help you duel him faster. You'll be able to outfarm him and become much more of a threat in teamfights. His ganks are better than yours, but you can counter gank them quite well.

Baron Calls Back to Top

This part is important since you're on of the best junglers in the game right now at taking baron when the enemy team doesn't realize you can do it. Most of the game you can duo baron after you get your jungle item and you do so much damage that it often is a surprise to the enemy team when your teammates suddenly pop with baron buff while they are laning.

Baron calls can happen if you see enemies botlane, enemies have based, enemies have died (specifically the enemy jungler), you've cleared the baron area of wards, if you can get there WAY before your enemies (with teleport of course), or with your items you can outright solo it while either your team acts like a goalie blocking the enemy team off or just as a distraction while you do it.

When you duo baron it's a good idea to have your laners stay in lane so that the enemy players wont become suspicious of a baron attempt and will be inclined to stay in lane to push back pushing waves of creeps.

Successful baron calls will turn losing games upside down.
