Summoner Spells Back to Top

Smite

A required spell when you're playing the Jungler role in order to secure Drakes, Barons etc. Also grants buffs from jungle camps when used on them.

Flash

(Primary Option) A very useful Summoner's Spell to escape, catch enemies or to dodge spells etc.

Ghost

(Secondary Option) An optional spell for Flash. I actually like this spell currently more than Flash, because new Warwick has to be able to stick targets more than the old one.

Masteries Back to Top

Ferocity

Nothing much to say here.

Attack Speed is incredibly useful on Warwick, combined with the Vampirism, which grants you +2.0% Lifesteal & Spellvamp early to help you clear camps. Fervor of the Battle also stacks nicely with Warwick's on passive and increases your damage greatly during duels and ganks.

Cunning

The mastery tree, which does not benefit Warwick a lot.

The extra damage from Merciless and Heal/Mana gain from Dangerous Game, is however useful when killing enemies. The Runic Affinity also aids early game, and grants you 15% increased time with jungle buffs.

Resolve

This is the Mastery Tree for gaining more health and tankiness.

This Mastery Tree is less effective in the current meta, and does not offer as much for Warwick unlike the Ferocity Tree does.
However, you can still create an effective Mastery build by using this too.

Passive

Your Basic Attacks heal you, and each attack against the same target will heal you more.

Q - Jaws of the Beast

Gives a significant amount of health when used on an enemy or minion. If you hold it down, Warwick will leap behind the target.

W - Bloodhunt

Gives Warwick a global "scent" of low health enemy champions. You will get a trail towards the nearest low health enemy. If you activate it without having the scent, Warwick will be given the bloodtrail buff  for the nearest enemy champion regardless of their health amount.
Use this ability wisely, because it has a VERY long cooldown.

E - Primal Howl

During this ability Warwick will take significantly reduced damage and when activated again or waiting till the end of the ability, Warwick will fear all the enemies within the area.

R - Infinite Duress

Warwick leaps in a direction and suppresses the first champion he collides with, dealing damage and applying on-hit effects throughout the duration.
The leap's distance increases based on Warwick’s movement speed, and he heals for all damage he deals during Infinite Duress.
Warwick is immune to crowd control effects during the leap.

One of best ultimates in the game (not kidding). This spell will make Warwick jump into a targeted enemy instantaneously. Save this spell for high-value targets to pin them down during ganks/team fights.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

It is better to start with Hunter's Machete only, since Warwick has his own sustain. This way you also save 150G for your next purchase.
New Bloodrazor should be rushed very quickly on Warwick. It is essential that you focus on buying it first.
Since Patch 6.9, Warwick has become more useful already in Early/Mid-game as well, due to the new Bloodrazor, which requires no monster stacks at all. :)
Next you want to finish Titanic Hydra as soon as possible. It works great with Warwick, giving him extra damage for each auto-attack. Destroys squishies. It really does.
Cinderhulk is also a very good pick on the new Warwick, especially if you are following the Titanic Hydra build path. Personally, I still like Bloodrazor more.

Core Items

Boots of Swiftness are currently a lot better than any other boot choice. However, you might find Mercury Tread's a useful choice if enemy has a lot of cc or AP dmg.
Dead Man's Plate is a good option if you want to stick to your enemies better.
Lastly, you want to gain more healing power from your Q and AA's. Spirit Visage is a very good item for WW even when enemy has no more than 1 AP champ. Finalizing build with Randuin's Omen gives you more Hp, Armor and active slow, which helps you catch those pesky carries.

Situational Items

If you find yourself struggling against AD heavy comps, then Thornmail might be a good option to consider. If you face a strong mix comp of AP and AD you should buy Warmog's Armor to provide you with that extra hp.
