Summoner Spells Back to Top

*This guide is not fully finished, i will keep adding more and more.*

I play Yasuo since season 4 and ever since really enjoyed playing him, he is my top pick for me and i am well experienced with him having over 250k mastery points and rank 7 with him.

Tips & Tricks

-Flash knockup
If both of you are very low, you can easily surprise the enemy by doing a fancy combo using your Flash.
Get your Q stacked to the knockup, dash to a minion, MID-DASH use Q and Flash (to targeted location) instantly, this will make you flash on your target with a free knockup, able to chain it into your ult or dash+ignite.

-Animation cancel
You can also surprise your enemy by placing a windwall and instantly throwing out your Q, this will not show the animation of your Q and surprise the enemy.

4.pngFlash
This spell just makes overall gameplay for any champion alot better, it's always good to have a escape incase needed.

14.pngIgnite
With ignite you can secure kills when using your ultimate ability, this is also great against champions with loads of self healing, take Volibear with his passive for example. It's also a good pick against something like Tryndamere, where ignite might give you that final blow after his ultimate deactivates.

3.pngExhaust
Exhaust helps sticking to your target, try and use this on champions that are not that mobile, this gives you the chance to catch up and land the final blow.

12.pngTeleport
Almost every toplaner has teleport, and it's a good way to keep your lane pushed, get back in the action quickly and also backdoor if you are SURE you can pull something good of, also teleport is a great way to make a 2v3 a 3v3, etc.

Starting Items

Standard starting item's, good against most match ups and gives good sustain.
Against champions that have heavy poking potential, if you wan't to out trade your enemies long sword is the way to go.

  • Yasuo

  • Zed
    Medium

VS

Akali

Hard

Engage a Akali after she used Twilight Shroud, she can easily shroud herself and Yasuo will not be able to ult Akali unless Yasuo has a pink ward.

If Akali goes Shrouded while being very low on hp, try to do a E,Q combo on her, the AOE effect might kill her.

VS

Aurelion Sol

Easy

Should be in the favor of Yasuo, try and windwall his stun and the kill is yours, once you are in melee range he can't do much more then accept his death.

VS

Brand

Medium

Brand is very dangerous, only engage once he has used Sear to avoid a stun and possible death.

VS

Yasuo

Medium

A skill matchup.

VS

Zed

Medium

Zed is a tricky champion, keep track of his shadow positioning, when Zed is going to ult, wait until the animation is finished and lands on you. When Zed lands dash away from him to avoid damage from Zed, you can easily re-engage Zed by dashing back.
