Masteries Back to Top

I think Thunderlords is better for Zac since my playstyle is mostly focused on fighting. However, you can go 12/0/18, with focus on: Recovery > Tough Skin > Runic Armor > Perseverance > Legendary Guardian > Strength of the Ages.

I prefer maxing W second because of the %HP damage, you'll deal so much fucking damage it's uncanny. Also default first max E.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

I prefer 2 potions when I go with Thunderlords because I lack the Resolve Tree extra stats.
I take refillable potion when I go 12/0/18 because you don't need that extra potion sustain early.

Core Items

    Standard goals.
    When you're stomping the game.

Situational Items

Depends on the enemy team's composition.
    Them cheesy AP items.
Ultra late game options (or cheesy mid game)

  • Elise

  • Rek'Sai
    Easy

VS

Elise

Easy

You have to be aware of Elise's powerful early game. Even though I used to be overconfident against any Champion, it's not really worth it jeopardizing your scaling by giving the enemy an early edge.

You should always check the map during the first clear so you'll be aware of Elise's start (bottom or top), and if you must, just let her take a camp or two and go farm elsewhere. Your level 6 is way more powerful than hers.

Your presence in teamfights is way harder, and if your carries can get enough peel, she'll just be useless while you stomp the enemy team. As long as you don't fuck up early, it should be easy.

VS

Rek'Sai

Easy

Rek'Sai can be very punishing when you gank. She can sneak in between your jungle and just steal away your camps, which can lead to her outfarming you pretty hard. If you can make your ganks pay off, though, it's the same thing as always: you'll just outperform her in teamfights.

Zac throughout the Game Back to Top

Early Game

Zac has a very interesting kit. His sustain from Cell Division zacpassive.png allows him to powerform to level 6 without recalling even once, so if your team has a better scaling and everyone is planning on staying safe and farming, you can just wreck the jungle away.

That, however, is not the case on most Solo or Dynamic Queue games. But that's okay, since Zac's excels in ganking. His slingshot zacE.png allows him to gank from the most creative places, and enemies who would normally never suspect a gank can be easily picked off and killed.

You should, however, be accurate when landing your slingshots, otherwise you'll lose efficiency, even though you can follow up with the Stretching Strike's zacQ.png slow.

Mid Game

This is when you should be trying to pick off enemy champions with your teammates. It's very common to see enemy teams trying to siege mid and Zac is a really good counter to that. His tankiness and disruption can allow him to sneak behind the Raptors Camp and slingshot on top of the grouped-up enemies, fucking them up very hard.

His siege potential and back-line engage is also one of the reasons he is very much a fighting monster. You should, however, always try to pick up boblets so you don't get too low and survive long enough to allow your teammates to join you in the backline.

Late Game

Late game is a very delicate stage of the game. Zac can melt pretty easily if focused by the enemy carries, so you have to be extremely careful about your positioning. As long as you fight correctly and disrupt the carries, not letting them attack or cast spells, the game is yours. In this stage of the game, sometimes it's best to, after slingshooting on the backline, just come back and peel for your carries in order to guarantee a safer win.
