Summoner Spells Back to Top

Zed is very strong with ignite, due to his heavy snowball potential in lane, and his ability to 1v1 the enemy laner easily.

Cleanse is a spell you want to go if you are against heavy cc comp or a mid laner that you cannot afford to get cc'd against; a few example of these champs you maybe want to consider getting this against are:

You don't have to get cleanse, but if you are experienced enough at Zed you most don't need to have ignite against these champions.

Exhaust (very very occupational) this can work if you are very well versed in Zed and you are mainly looking to survive laning phase. I have seen people like LL Stylish run this vs Riven as well, depends on preference.

Masteries Explained

[6.11] Notes:
Due to zed nerfs that have been happening I'd rather go oppressor due to you needing to get as much damage in as possible earlier on, although if you are confident or smurfing go bounty hunter.

Biscuits vs Assassin

I know some people run biscuits vs. assassin on Zed, but the reason I don't really use that is because Zed usually only gets poked really hard before 3. After 3 you can start using your W-E-Q combo to poke them down. Also you should farm lane with Q if you are against ranged champions or champions with a lot of poke.
I run biscuits on zed maybe if I know its going to be a farm only lane.

Double Edge vs Feast
Personally I feel like the damage from double edge isnt as worth as the sustain from feast, especially seeing you run natural talent not vampirism.

Fury over Sorcery
Fury helps a lot with bullshit auto cancels.
Sorcery scales later.

I think this section is pretty obvious on what to max. I always max Q first on zed and E second.

The reason why I have E set to second ability is because Zed usually gets poked hard in lane so you just want to farm it out until 3 or 4. Against matchups like 157.png 245.png7.png it is really good to get e second because they have an ability that dashes to you and even though you might not win the trade, you trade more than you would with W.
W is a viable option as well to get second if you are winning lane and are pushed. But when in lane I recommend to last hit with Q.

Situational Items

A very cool build I learned in the Zed! club from LL Stylish is this build for tanks. Tanks are a very big problem for zed right now seeing as the items are just too hard for zed to deal with. This is where you want to get BOTRK, lord dominiks, and PD. this helps with shredding tanks very well and you would be surprised how well it works. I know a few other zed OTPS that do this as well; it helps a lot.

About Zed Changes Back to Top

So the 6.11 changes were pretty interesting to Zed. Here are the patch notes regarding it:

Zed.JPG

What Riot is trying to do is get rid of Zed's ability to poke out laners forcing to go back to base and be behind in lane which i think is a smart thing. But in my opinion where they are wrong is in the all ins part. Zed's all ins can be very strong depending on how you play it. Generally I try to go for triple shurikens because not only does it look cool (i mean come on who doesnt want to make fancy plays), but it is more efficient. After nerfing the damage from Zed's Q, they made it so Zed's shuriken gets 25% more damage when landing an additional one. Three shurikens dude.

This video was not on patch 6.11 but it is still a great example of how to manage your shurikens even in situations where you have to fight multiple people.
TL;DR-
Landing a triple shuriken combo *doesn't matter how you do it, either W'ing then Ulting or Ulting then W'ing* as long as u get it done you do more damage.
