Summoner Spells Back to Top

Want to see this guide in action? Chat about Camille? Follow me on Twitch! http://twitch.tv/Teikanmi

And now with the shameless self-promotion out of the way, lets get on with the guide. :D Thanks!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4.png A summoner spell that nearly everyone takes on every champion. Camille needs this to engage and to escape dangerous situations, as well as make plays.

12.png A standard spell in the top lane, this lets you make cross-map plays and put pressure on the other lanes even when you're not there.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3.png Exhaust is an option that is viable versus heavy AD auto attack champions, such as Yasuo, Darius or or Zed. The extra damage you can get by reducing your target's MR and Armor is almost as strong as Ignite's damage.

14.png Ignite is a greedy spell that demands you win the lane, and win it hard. You have kill pressure, but it may not make up for the advantage the opponent top laners gets when he teleports to the bottom lane. This is mostly a smurfing spell.

6.png I wouldn't recommend Ghost, as Camille is sticky enough and doesn't need the movement speed to stay on targets, though it's never a bad option and is viable on almost everyone.

Runes Back to Top

  • 9x
+0.95 attack damage Greater Mark of Attack Damage
  • 9x
+1.34 magic resist Greater Glyph of Magic Resist
  • 9x
+1 armor Greater Seal of Armor
  • 3x
+2.25 attack damage Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage

Luckily, Camille has a very standard AD page that is relatively cheap to buy with IP, and most League of Legends players will have these runes already.

You take attack damage runes because all of Camille's attacks have AD ratios that scale off of attack damage. Attack Damage runes are good for the early game and lane pressure. These are cheap and do the job well for helping to last hit.

Armor seals and magic resist glyphs are standard defensive top lane runes, but the magic resist can be switched out for cooldown reduction if you're versus an AD top laner, and flat health can replace the armor if you're versus a bursty top lane mage.

Lethality runes (previously known as armor penetration) were changed during preseason 7. The biggest burst that Camille has is her Q's true damage, which lethality will have no effect on. They will make you miss farm, and therefore gold, and therefore damage, but they'll help you trade effectively and scale well, and if you are snowballing, you snowball ever harder. They do more DPS than the 15 AD late game, but they're mostly used for fighting the enemy team. Keep in mind that Lethality runes are useless unless you're consistently doing damage to enemy champions, so this is considered a high risk, high reward rune setup.

10% CDR scaling blues are also very viable on her if you're not going up against an AP top laner.

RESOLVE

This is a standard fighter top lane mastery page.

18/0/12 is the optimal path for Camille, similar to most fighters in top lane.

In Ferocity, you especially want the 2% Life Steal / Spell Vamp he gets from this tree. These will helps you stay healthy in lane and will increase the healing you receive from your Tactical Sweep's camillew.png healing zone. The Attack Speed she gets from Fury helps to last hit, and synergizes with her bonus attack speed from her Wall Dive. Since you're going top lane, you definitely want the +5% damage over 5 seconds, as the trades that Camille does are more drawn out and DPS-based than bursty. However, this mastery is more risky than the others. It's useless if we get set behind and aren't able to make fights last long enough to take the full benefit of the increased damage. Hextech Ultimatum lasts for 4 seconds, which will almost let her get the entire 5 seconds of damage off on enemies.

The best keystone for Camille as of this patch is Fervor of Battle. At the start of season 7 it was changed to be slightly stronger, and it's the most optimal keystone for top lane DPS champions.

I recommend going 12 points into Resolve. The health regeneration from Recovery will help you stay healthy in lane if you take poke damage. Tough skin will allow you to take better trades by taking less minion aggro damage and will make you tankier against champion attacks. Runic armor makes your Tactical Sweep healing and your passive's shield 8% stronger, which is nice for early level trading. Fearless lets you become tankier when trading with enemy champions, so you'll be able to win trades harder from levels 1-4.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you go into the cunning tree, taking Assassin in the second row of the cunning tree is a personal choice, because top lane is usually a duelist island. Merciless is important to get because it will increase the true damage of Precision Protocol's true damage as well. Greenfather's Gift is great for mid and late game when you're picking off unsuspecting champions that are overextended. Camille loves %HP damage spells and items.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Courage of the Colossus is also a good choice if your team doesn't need more damage but lacks tankiness. Since Camille can proc it quite easily, it allows for more risky dives and has a lot of synergy with her passive, Adaptive Defenses. camillepassive.png

Q: Why not Thunderlord's Decree?
A: Thunderlord's Decree gives you about the same damage as one fully stacked Fervor of Battle trade, but Fervor of Battle synergizes especially well with Camille's favorite item, Trinity Force 3078.png. Since Camille has 2 auto attack resets and is very sticky, it's a powerful mastery on her.

Q: Why not Warlord's Bloodlust?
A: This keystone is only useful if you're taking damage. As Camille, we don't want to be the one riding the line between life and death, we want to crush out opponents so that they never have time to deal damage to us. This keystone works mostly only on squishy melee targets. We don't want to be squishy.

The Combo:

Dash in with Hookshot, then stun the enemy with Wall Dive. Use Hextech Ultimatum to trap your target and give you space to fight them. Auto attack, then immediately reset with your Q. While the 1.5 second timer is charging on the true damage portion, use your Tactical Sweep to damage and sustain some HP. Use one more regular auto attack, and then finally hit them with the true damage portion of Q.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

camillepassive.png camilleq.png camillew.png camillee.png camiller.png

camillepassive.png Passive: Adaptive Defenses

STATIC COOLDOWN: 16/ 13 / 10 seconds at levels 1, 7, and 13.

INNATE: Camille's next basic attack against enemy champions is periodically enhanced to shield her for 20% maximum health from either exclusively physical damage or magic damage, based on which type would mitigate the most damage from her target's damage.

The shield lasts for 1.5 seconds.

camilleq.png Q: Precision Protocol

RANGE: 125
COST: 25 MANA
COOLDOWN: 9 / 8.25 / 7.5 / 6.75 / 6 seconds

ACTIVE: Camille's next basic attack deals bonus physical damage and grants her bonus movement speed for 1 second. Precision Protocol can then be recast within the next 3 seconds at no extra cost.

If recast at least 1.5 seconds after the first attack, Precision Protocol's damage is doubled and 55 - 100 (based on level)% of the damage is dealt as true damage.

BONUS PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 20 / 25 / 30 / 45 / 40% AD
BONUS MOVEMENT SPEED: 20 / 25 / 30 / 45 / 40%

DOUBLE MIXED DAMAGE: 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 / 80% AD

Both casts of Precision Protocol reset Camille's autoattack timer.

camillew.png W: Tactical Sweep

COST: 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 / 70 MANA
COOLDOWN: 15 / 13.5 / 12 / 10.5 / 9

ACTIVE: After a brief delay, Camille sweeps her leg to deal physical damage to all enemies in a cone in front of her.

Enemies hit by the outer half of the cone take bonus physical damage and are Slow icon slowed by 80% that decays over 2 seconds. Camille is healed for the bonus damage dealt on champions.

Non-epic monsters take 50% reduced damage from Tactical Sweep.

PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 65 / 95 / 125 / 155 / 185 (+ 60% bonus AD)
OUTER CONE BONUS DAMAGE: 6 / 6.5 / 7 / 7.5 / 8% (+ 3% per 100 bonus AD) of target's maximum health

camillee.png E: Hookshot / Wall Dive

COST: 70 MANA
COOLDOWN: 16 / 14.5 / 13 / 11.5 / 10

HOOKSHOT - FIRST CAST: Camille fires a grapple in the target direction. If the grapple collides with terrain, Camille will dash toward and bind to the terrain for X seconds. While bound to the terrain, she gains the ability to cast Wall Dive.

WALL DIVE - SECOND CAST: Camille dashes in the target direction, which has double range if leaping toward a visible enemy champion. Upon hitting an enemy or reaching maximum range, Camille deals physical damage to all nearby enemies.

If Camille hits an enemy with Wall Dive, they are Stun icon stunned for 0.75 seconds and she gains bonus attack speed for 5 seconds.

PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 70 / 115 / 160 / 205 / 250 (+ 75% bonus AD)
BONUS ATTACK SPEED: 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 / 80%

camiller.png R: Hextech Ultimatum

COST: 100 MANA
COOLDOWN: 140 / 115 / 90

ACTIVE: Camille dashes toward the target enemy champion, becoming untargetable during the leap. When she lands, she creates a locked, hexagonal zone around the target for 2.5/3.25/4 seconds, Airborne icon knocking away all other nearby enemies on impact.

The target can move freely inside the zone, but cannot escape it through any means.
While within the zone, Camille's basic attacks deal bonus magic damage.

Hextech Ultimatum's effects end automatically if Camille leaves the area.

BONUS MAGIC DAMAGE: 5 / 10 / 15 (+ 4 / 6 / 8% of target's current health)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

camiller.png Hextech Ultimatum (R) is maxed first because it is our ultimate and we want it on the lowest cooldown possible. It also increases the damage by 2% every time we increase its rank.

camilleq.png Precision Protocol (Q) is maxed second. This is the main source of Camille's damage, thanks to the true damage second proc that is available after 1.5 seconds. It also lets us last hit easier and push towers faster.

camillee.png Hookshot / Wall Dive (E) is maxed third. This ability is great to take early so that we can have mobility to escape ganks, and get stuns. Maxing this third will allow us to start picking people off in the mid and late game.

camillew.png Tactical Sweep (W) is maxed fourth. The damage on this ability is decent, but it's mostly used for the sustain and current HP% damage, to slow people running away, and to give us more damage between the 1.5 second true damage timer of her Q. We take a point in this at level 3 instead of another point in Q because the damage from this ability at rank 1 is more than the damage increase that another point in Q would be.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Some people max Hookshot / Wall Dive (E) instead of Precision Protocol (Q) first. Why?

A: This is also a viable route if you're going up against very mobile, very squishy top laners. It's more feast-of-famine, however, since if you miss your stun, you'll lose almost all of your damage. The true damage from your Q will help to kill tanks more effectively and you'll scale better. Maxing E over Q is when you think you can completely dominate your lane opponent and then enemy team is really hard to catch.

Items Back to Top

Starting Items

CDR boots versus teams with mixed damage, Ninja Tabi or Mercury Treads versus AD or AP teams.

Core Items

Your first item in most situations. Camille has 2 auto attack resets, so this item is crucial.
Your second item, which is then built into Trinity Force.
The perfect item for Camille, it has everything she wants and needs as a top laner.
Tankyness and CDR, as well as synergy with Camille's heal.
Guardian Angel became a great item for Camille, building it second sometimes is a smart idea.

Situational Items

Against heavy AD teams, this item will guarantee you win 1v1's and team fights alike.
Ravenous Hydra for split push and 1v1 power, Titanic for tankyness and tank-killing power.
A great item versus heavy burst teams, this will let you turn teamfights in your favor if you're caught out overextended.
A good final build:

3078.png3074.png3111.png3053.png3065.png3026.png3364.png + 2140.png

The example ideal Camille build/back buy order:

1055.png2003.png ---> 3044.png ---> 1001.png3057.png ---> 3078.png ---> 3077.png ---> 1053.png ---> 3074.png ---> 3111.png ---> 3052.png1036.png ---> 3053.png ---> 3211.png ---> 3067.png ---> 3065.png ---> 1031.png ---> 3026.png ---> 2140.png

with Health Potions as needed.

If you go back on your first recall with 1300 gold, get a Phage and a health potion. If you recall with 1150, get a Sheen and a health potion. If you recall with less than that, grab whatever Phage items basic items you can and get a potion. If you're ahead, get the Long Sword, if you're behind, get the Ruby Crystal.

Phage into Sheen is a big power spike for Camille, as is finishing the complete Trinity Force.

Since the main nuke of Camille's kit is a true damage Q proc, there's not really much point to buying any armor penetration items unless the enemy team starts to stack a lot of armor due to your team being almost entire AD damage.

Lethality in general has been nerfed since season 6 when it was strongest, so we should prioritize pure AD, %HP damage, and utility items over penetration.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: When do I go Titanic Hydra over Ravenous Hydra?
A: You'll have plenty of damage to murder a squishy in your ultimate zone with Triforce and either Ravenous Hydra or Titanic. However, versus tanks, Ravenous Hydra won't give you enough damage to cut through their resistances. Titanic Hydra will. It also makes you tankier so you're able to tower dive, go for their back line during flanks, scale more, and trade safer. Titanic Hydra also has an autoattack reset, which means you can pack even more damage into your AA-Q-AA combos. Ravenous Hydra gives better wave clear and lets you duel better thanks to AA-Q-Hydra-AA-Q 5-hit lifesteal procs.

Q: What about building Tiamat and then going into the Trinity Force components?
A: I strongly feel this might be the most optimal choice for a melee champion who has 2 auto resets. I really like going for a Tiamat first item, it even has a rejuvenation bead to help with sustain versus ranged champions.

VS

Aatrox

Easy

Aatrox has been an easy matchup and a weak champion in general for years. Make him use his dash defensively and avoid his Q by using the movement speed from your own Q and you'll avoid most of his poke damage.

VS

Akali

Medium

When she goes into her shroud, use your Tactical Sweep on the entire area. When she throws a Q at you, avoid her and don't let her proc it. Once the shroud ends, go in with a Hookshot / Wall Dive and stun her to begin your combo. If you get behind in this matchup, go defensive.

VS

Cho'Gath

Medium

Avoiding his knockup will be your main goal here, try and dash to a wall if you see him start to ground stomp. His silence can really make the lane difficult, but if you can get the true damage of your Q off on him, you'll be fine. Blade of the Ruined king is a great item for this matchup.

VS

Darius

Hard

Darius is an exceptionally strong level 1 and level 2 laner. Try to take Tactical Sweep (W) at level 2 and sustain while avoiding his Q. You scale better than him, so go for late game damage and try to stack HP items. You might be able to get a trade off if you take Q at level 1 and fight him immediately, but once he hits level 2 he'll pull you back into him and get 5 stacks of his passive guaranteed.

You can defeat him once you have Sheen and Phage and your passive is up, but if he is level 6 and has 3-4 stacks of his bleed on you, dash away with your E. A good Darius will grab you before you can dash away, so try to bait it out. Wait for ganks and try to grab whatever farm you can.

VS

Dr. Mundo

Easy

Dr. Mundo stacks HP, which seems difficult at first, but if we buy HP damage items like Titanic Hydra and Blade of the Ruined King, he'll be no threat.

Don't eat his cleavers, needless to say. You can escape him with E since he has no hard CC.

VS

Ekko

Easy

Ekko's Q is a high cooldown spell, and it's easy to dodge if you stay in your minion wave. Once it's on cooldown, go in with an E stun and start to damage him. Once he gets to about 30% HP, ult him so he can't get away from you by using his own ult.

VS

Fiora

Medium

Her main source of damage will be her Q, but her W, Riposte, will screw you over. Your E is very telegraphed, so wait for a jungle gank before using your E. You need to make sure that it's down before all-ining her.

If she ever ults you post-6, dash away with your Hookshot immediately and just run. Without her ultimate, she can't beat you.

VS

Gangplank

Easy

Dodging his Q+E barrels is very easy. He can cleanse your stun with his oranges, but he can't escape your ult zone. The barrels are very telegraphed, so just watch for him to drop his first barrel and then dash away once he's going to set up another, and go for a stun on him. Without his Q, he has no damage, can he will waste his passive on your shield.

VS

Garen

Medium

Garen is another tanky monster who has a targeted silence. Stun him before he can get it off and then go for auto attacks. Save your Tactical Sweep (W) until after the silence ends and then you can consider stunning and ulting him. Try to play around your passive's shield.

VS

Gnar

Medium

Gnar is annoying because he has ranged auto attacks, meaning we need to farm with Tactical Sweep and Q if possible. Wait for your jungler and make sure to avoid him when he's going Mega Gnar. When he gets close to transforming and starts running up to you, dash away with E.

VS

Illaoi

Medium

This is a matchup where Sterak's Gage will win you the lane. Try to use your passive's shield to avoid her damage, and stay behind your minions. Pushing her to her tower will let you avoid trading with her, then you can try for a dive or just dash away if your jungler comes.

VS

Irelia

Medium

Irelia is very similar to Camille in that they both go for Trinity force items. You can beat her easily if you get ahead, and you use Tactical Sweep well. Phage into Sheen. This matchup is all about who gets the item advantage, so call for ganks so that you don't fall behind. A good Irelia will stun you when you are dashing away. Consider taking Courage of the Colossus in this matchup.

VS

Jax

Easy

When he starts to go for Counter Strike to dodge your autos, dash away with E so you don't get stunned. Then go for a Tactical Sweep and start pounding him with Q and auto attack resets. A very easy lane.

VS

Jayce

Medium

Another annoying ranged top lane, getting a Tiamat will help your farm and push minion waves out. After Triforce, go for a Titanic Hydra. Jayce's damage is all from his empowered Shock Blast, so positioning will win or lose you this lane.

VS

Kayle

Easy

You outdamage her at all points in the game, though a good Kayle will block your true damage with her ultimate. Try to save your Q for when her R is down. Once she uses her E to push minions and farm a wave, you're free to all-in her once it's down, since that's her main damage source.

VS

Kennen

Medium

Another pesky ranged top laner, with no mana and an easy stun. Kennen is also a very hard to stun champion because he can Lightning Rush away from you. Junglers with hard CC help a lot, but otherwise, just try to play passive and only go for trades if he uses his Q on minions.

VS

Kled

Easy

You have more damage than Kled, and if you can avoid his Bear Trap on a Rope, and if you see his W timer go on cooldown, you can easily stomp him in lane. You can completely avoid his ultimate by dashing over terrain.

VS

Malphite

Medium

A rather simple matchup for most top laners, look to go for stuns once he uses any of his abilities on minions. He has an attack speed slow to counter you and he can kite you with his Q. A BoRK or Titanic Hydra might be a good option in this matchup if he goes tanky. Once you get a gank on him early, you pretty much auto-win the lane, so ping for help. He can't ult out of your ultimate zone, he'll stop at the edge.

VS

Maokai

Easy

A really tanky champion that falls prey to our true damage and mobility. Great Maokai players might be able to snare you when you start to use your hookshot, but most of the time you should be able to get it off. He doesn't do enough damage to get through your shield and all-in you or trade back.

VS

Nasus

Easy

Nasus's sustain is what annoys players the most about his matchups, since he can stay in lane constantly without worrying about his HP. Zone him off of minions, and if he tries to farm using Q, use a full combo on him and you should come out on top of the trade. You need to look to dominate him early and pick him off mid and late game when he tries to go back to his lane. Call for ganks early on.

VS

Nautilus

Hard

Disgustingly tanky CC machine Nautilus is probably going to have 2 shields you have to get through before you start doing any damage. Call for ganks early. Luckily, you outscale him and will become more useful once you get your ultimate and %HP damage items. Try to bait his shield with Tactical Sweep and stay in your minions so he doesn't hit you with his Q.

VS

Pantheon

Hard

Pantheon has always been an exceptionally strong laner, but once you see him use a Q on a minion to farm, it's your chance to stun him, and start auto attacking him. He will counter-stun you, but once the stun wears off, you can use the second set of your Precision Protocol (Q) on him again. Once his shield comes up, Tactical Sweep him and go back to farming. Smart trading will win you this lane.

VS

Poppy

Hard

Stay away from the walls! STAY AWAY FROM THE WALLS! Probably Camille's hardest counter.

Be very careful when using your hook shot to go in on Poppy. She will slam you as soon as she sees you. If you do hookshot into her, try and go into an unwarded bush on the top of the lane to make her lose sight of you. This is a skill matchup, but you should outscale her. She'll try to stop your stun dash with her shield so wait until it's down or try to jump from a bush so she can't see you going for a stun. If you ult her, she'll knock you away unless you're able to dodge it.

VS

Quinn

Medium

Once you jump on her with your E, she will vault away and hit you with a Q blind. Go for a Tactical Sweep to slow her and heal, and then use you Q movement speed to catch her. Ult her and then chop her up, as she'll be out of damage abilities for several seconds. \

Consider maxing E in this matchup and taking Courage of the Colossus to mitigate her kiting burst damage.

VS

Renekton

Medium

Proper use of your shield is what will win you this lane. Make sure you're only trading with him when he uses his Q on minions. Consider taking Courage of the Colossus against him. You should mitigate most of his burst with your double shield and then you can start out-DPSing him.

VS

Rengar

Medium

Stay away from the bushes! Rengar players love to cheese by jumping in and out of the top lane bushes, but if he goes aggressive you can proc your shield on him. When he ults, just Hookshot to the walls behind you and stay under your tower. If he goes back, often he'll try to cheese you by ulting back to lane and trying to all-in. He's manaless, so you should grab an early Sheen to keep us with his lane pressure.

VS

Riven

Medium

A good Riven will stun you when you're trying to dash away, so be aware of her cooldowns. Once she starts to come at you with Q, dash away with E and then consider going for a stun. She will counter-stun you and go for free damage, so make sure you get your passive shield off with an auto attack before her stun goes off. Call for ganks and make sure you get the most healing possible from your Tactical Sweeps on minions.

You absolutely can't risk using any abilities on her shield. Once you see her use it, try to just walk away from her. Courage of the Colossus might be a good mastery to take versus Riven, since you may need 2 shields to survive her all-ins.

If Riven shows an all-in by ulting and starting to charge at you, dash away with your E and wait for it to end. After that you can beat her easily in any fight.

VS

Rumble

Medium

You need to start trading him when he uses his Flamespitter to farm and push minions. It has a 6 second cooldown at level 1, so keep that in mind. Courage of the Colossus will help you mitigate his damage early, so that's an option to consider. Get as much healing as possible off of him and minions with Tactical Sweep. Learning his cooldowns is essential.

VS

Shen

Medium

His W, Spirit's Refuge, will stop you from damage him. Once he drops it, just walk away and use Tactical Sweep before going in again. If he's good, he'll use his taunt to make you waste your Q proc inside his W zone. Early ganks can help you win the lane, but try to push minions to his tower to force him to farm. Buy an early vision ward to help you stay safe and use Hookshot to escape if their jungle is coming top.

VS

Swain

Easy

Once he uses his Q to try and damage you, you're free to go in and start trading. You're stickier than his is, and his has sustain, but you have much higher DPS than he does. Make small trades before trying to all-in him.

VS

Tahm Kench

Medium

Tahm is hard to finish off because he's so naturally tanky. Early use of your ultimate to get him to play scared and zoning him off of his minion wave is probably your best chance. Don't let him ever apply a full 3 stacks of his passive on you. Dash away if he ever looks to be running at you.

VS

Teemo

Medium

He's ranged, he has a blind, and he is fast. He also will drop mushrooms all over his lane, which makes trading with him a bad idea. However, once you get pushed a bit and you get a gank off on him, you should be able to kill him easily. Save your hookshot for when he flashes away. Once he blinds you, go for a Tactical Sweep and then ult him, and the blind should have worn off, allowing you to out-DPS him.

VS

Trundle

Easy

You can actually use his pillar as an escape. Since he relies on his to slow you and get onto you, it's easy to walk up to him, auto to get your passive, and then Tactical Sweep as you're walking away. You don't have to use your true damage proc on him every single trade.

VS

Tryndamere

Medium

This is another lane which is all about knowing cooldowns. If his ultimate is up, you need to save your Hookshot to get away once he uses it. However, if he has a full rage bar, you absolutely need to stay away. Once he spins towards you, get out of there as fast as possible.

VS

Wukong

Hard

Wukong is a tricky matchup, it's mostly about the skill of the player. Once he ults you, it will do massive damage to stand in it. Hookshout out and then consider going for a stun once his ultimate has ended. Consider taking Courage of the Colossus against him to mitigate his armor shred damage from his Q.

VS

Xin Zhao

Easy

Xin and Aatrox share a similar move set (knockup, sustain on 3 hits, slow, gap closer, AoE ultimate damage) so it's no surprisde that Camille can beat him easily. Try to proc your shield and go for short trades with him, then dash out if you need to. Your passive shield will let you do damage to him and then he'll be zoned off of minions and lose out on gold.

VS

Yasuo

Easy

A common champion picked in low elo, Yasuo lacks the early game damage to beat and out-trade Camille until he gets his ultimate. After 6, start Hookshotting walls to avoid getting knocked up, and the go for a stun. Most Yasuos will max their E before Q, so try to get a passive shield autoattack prof when he dashes into you to negate his damage.

Getting Sterak's Gage will let you aim this matchup easily, it's just a matter of waiting for him to use his knockup and then engaging.

Call for an early gank and then if you kill him once in lane you should be able to snowball every time he comes back, but be aware of he takes Ignite you might need to wear him down a bit before going for an all-in.

VS

Yorick

Easy

You can escape his CC easily by simply Hookshotting away. You can also kill his ghouls with one enhanced Tactical Sweep. Yorick doesn't have the DPS to fight you once you get your Trinity Force, so call for an early gank to get ahead and you'll be able to out-trade and kill him repeatedly.

General Gameplay Tips Back to Top

- Learn cooldowns! Top laners live and die by knowing the cooldowns of the other champions. This will let you know when the optimal time to start tradingarrow-10x10.png is.

- Knowing what matchups benefit from taking Courage of the Colossus can give you a big defensive advantage. Staggering your passive shield and CotC's shield can help you in short trades. Auto attack, then wait for your passive shield to be used, then go for a Hookshot/Wall Dive to get the Colossus proc. Wukong, Riven, Renekton, and Rumble are all champions that you may need it for.

- Make sure you hit your stun. This seems obvious, but hitting your stun will let you get your passive shield proc off and allow your to trade further. If the enemy dodges out of range of your stun, then just jump back to a safer position.

- It may seem obvious, but LEARN RANGE OF YOUR HOOKSHOT! Nothing is sadder than being killed when you could have easily survived but goofed on the range of your E.

- If you're ganked from behind, use the enemy jungler's position to stun him and get even further away from your enemy laner. He may even serve himself up for you on a silver platter if he's weak enough.

- Understanding the best items to build in any given game is crucial. Do they have a lot of tankiness? Buy %HP damage items. Are they really squishy? Go for big AD damage items. Do you need defensive items to escape being CC chained and dying? Buy Sterak's Gage. Are they really slippery? Buy a Blade of the Ruined King to stay on them.

- Remember that you get movement speed from your Q. If you see their jungler coming, press Q once you dash away.

- Warding is important for Camille. Once she goes in with E, she has no means of escape other than flash. If you get too aggressive and their jungle is waiting nearby, you may end up dying.

- Using your ult to push enemies away in dives and ganks is crucial to making sure you can kill at least one of the enemy champions, if not both.

- Practice last hitting minions with your Q. It's deceptively difficult until you get some AD and a sheen.

- Your ultimate makes you untargetable. Use this to vanish some channeled damage spells like Syndra's ult, Karthus's ult, or dodge other large projectile ults.

- If you're being pushed into your tower and zoned from getting cs by the enemy laner, use your E off of your tower or wall to dash into the enemy champion and last hit the minions, and then proc your shield passive to protect yourself from harassment.

- Camille's ultimate resets tower aggro. Use it to dodge a tower shot if you start to dive or to turn the tower aggro to a more tanky member of your team.

- You can also dodge tower dive champions like Zac or Kha'Zix by ulting them when they jump at you and before they land, forcing them to eat the tower shots for 4 seconds.

- Your second activation of Q has the same cooldown as a Sheen timer, so make sure once you have Sheen that you always wait to use your true damage activation and don't press Q too early!

- Use your E to get back to lane faster by jumping over towers and inhibitors.

- You can guarantee your stun to hit by flashing at the enemy champion, similar to a Vi or Riven flash+Q.

- You can cast W and dash towards the enemy champion with E and you will still hit them with your W.

- BM the enemy laner by throwing Hookshot directly at them. :)

- And of course, have fun! Camille is one of the most fun champions in the league. Have a blast!
